How's this for a potent reminder of the importance of synchronicity?

In early August, Ron and I had the pleasure of lunching with Arielle Ford. If you don't know who Arielle is you can find out more about her by eavesdropping on part one of our conversation in this issue. (Suffice to say that Neale Donald Walsch calls Arielle "one of the five or six most influential and important people in this spiritual community".)

During the course of our conversation, Arielle told us about one of her clients, Dan Pallotta, who has written a book called When Your Moment Comes. Prompted by some of the stories she related about this young man's philosophies and extraordinary achievements, I read his book. To say it made a huge impact on me would be a gross understatement. The truth is, When Your Moment Comes is such a wonderful testament to the extraordinary feats that can be achieved, both collectively and individually, when so-called ordinary people align their dreams and unite their energies in order to make a difference in the world, I knew I had to do my part in promoting this book to anyone who would listen.

If I were a powerful politician or an educator, I would make this book required reading for every school child throughout the universe. Since I am neither, I contacted the publisher and asked for permission to reprint an extract in our next available issue, which just happened to be the one you are now reading.

At the end of August, I left on a business trip to Europe, satisfied that the schedule for this issue was now coming together and I could rest easy, knowing the magazine would be safe in the hands of Ron and Mike. When I checked my email from England, I found a copy of Mahala's Planet Alert for August, September and October. I read it with interest, but it never occurred to me until much later that it, too, needed to be published in this issue. (Bear with me, you'll see where all this is leading in a moment).

On September 9th, I returned home to find both my computers had mysteriously died, one during my absence and the other within hours of my return. Within a matter of hours, I too came down with a mysterious bug that left me a prisoner on my sofa, unable to do anything other than pop antibiotics at regular intervals and watch the terrible events that, true to Mahala's predictions, started to unfold on September 11th .

Fortunately, both computers and I made a timely recovery, and within days, my email box (like yours, too, I imagine) was inundated with channeled messages, and letters from people from all parts of the world, including several well-known spiritual leaders.

At the time of writing this month's Editor's letter, so much has already been said and written about the events of September 11th, it's virtually impossible for me to conceive of anything more I personally could add that would be in the least original. One of the best and to my mind most spiritually appropriate messages I've read was the one entitled "A Modest Proposal" which was written and mailed to our email subscribers by our own Associate Editor, Ron McCray, and is reprinted in this issue, along with Mahala's Planet Alert and Dan Pallotta's book extract.

What does all this have to do with synchronicity? When you read these three separate texts you'll see that not only are they all interrelated; they all underscore the significance and the timeliness of what Dan Pallotta has written in When Your Moment Comes. For make no mistake, I'm not the only one who believes that right here, right now, this very moment, is indeed Our Moment; that this, as many prophets and seers are saying, is the moment we all came back for.

To paraphrase Dan Pallotta, it is in a moment like this that we are given the chance to create the person we want to be, and the world we want to live in. The decisions we make now, where we choose to place our focus and our energy, the emotions we allow to hold sway, will have far-reaching consequences, not just for ourselves, but for the future of all humanity.

Do you believe in dreams? Do you believe you have the power to change things? Do yourself a favor - do us all a favor - don't answer that question yet. Read Dan Pallotta's book extract. Read Mahala's Planet Alert. Read Ron's "Modest Proposal". Then go out and buy or borrow a copy of When Your Moment Comes and read it all the way through. And when you get to the end, I challenge you to tell me you don't believe in synchronicity. You don't believe in dreams. And you don't believe that, together, you and I have the power to change things.

Let's make a difference. Let's spread love and peace on earth and let it begin with you and me.
