I BELIEVE WE ARE all psychic in some form or another. Whether we have clairaudience, clairsentience or clairvoyance or simply are an empath, the question is whether we choose to utilize these gifts or not. When we choose not to use our natural talents, the choice often stems from fear. People are afraid to use their gifts for fear of what others will think of them. They are afraid to become the next Sylvia Browne or John Edwards.

Using your natural talents and gifts doesn't mean you have to be famous. It just means that you are given these gifts to use to serve a much higher purpose. We are all here to serve in some capacity or another. Some of us are teachers. We learn various lessons in our lives and then are supposed to teach others what we have learned from our experiences. This helps "students" as they walk on their paths of life.

You may be a healer. Healers come in all shapes and sizes - energy healing, Reiki, medical intuitives, spiritual counselors, the list is endless. There are just so many ways that you can be serving.

What is serving?

Serving is all about helping others and sharing your knowledge without wanting, needing or expecting anything in return. We are here to assist God, or your Higher Power, with their mission here on Earth, also known as the Divine plan.

Can I Be Called Into Service?
Yes, you can be called into service at any given moment. You've probably had it happen to you already. Maybe you were called into service at the grocery store. How? You may see a little old lady drop a bag of apples. You notice she's having a hard time picking them up. So you go over to her and tell her "Let me get those for you". She smiles and says "Thank you". So totally worth it. You feel good. This is a small example of how we actually do help others during the course of our days. Another example, maybe you saw something on the news and decided to say a prayer for a family. Another way you are called to service. Even though they are not "huge" events, they are helpful and done with love. Even if we help just one single person. If we make someone's day because we said "hello" to them, it is all so worth it in the end. That's what it's really all about.

Finding a Purpose
Don't try to find your purpose, let your purpose find you. I know this sounds sort of strange but really it's quite simple. All you need to do is start with what you know or what you love as a hobby. As you follow your path, the rest will just fall into place.

For me it was Tarot. I took a leap of faith and took an online course. Follow your heart and your gut instincts. You know you are doing the right thing when it feels right and when the doors start opening for you. It's like the whole "light bulb" effect going off in your head.

Not Sure Where to Begin?
Let me ask you this, what do you like to do? What would you like to learn more about? Have you had a deep desire to learn about Astrology, Tarot, Angels, Wicca, etc? When you say "I wish I knew more about this". What is "this" that you are referring to? Because "this" is your answer.

Now all you need to do is learn about it. Maybe you'll want to take a class or purchase a book. Do your research. There is no one out there that will say, "You need to do this now". It's just not going to happen. Don't place restrictions on yourself either. Learn at a pace that is comfortable with you. One thing I do guarantee is that once you start looking into something you've wanted to know more about, you'll want to know even more. You may start off in one place and land in the complete opposite end of the spectrum. But that is where you are meant to be. And to think that all it took was a little bit of looking into.

Tossing Around Some Ideas
Still not sure yet of what makes your heart sing? I can't stress enough that you should be doing some research. If you read your horoscope everyday, maybe you'd like to know more about how they come up with that. Going for a Tarot reading? Maybe you'd be interested in learning more about what the cards mean. How about this - ever had your palm read? Palmistry is an interesting field. I even know someone that does handwriting analysis. Now that's fascinating! Have you had a fascination with the moon and its cycles? This could be astrology related but it could also be witchcraft or Wiccan related as well. Are you interested in natural oils and herbs? Maybe Aromatherapy is what you're looking for.

Try this on for size, go to your local New Age store, by yourself, and just "poke around". I say by yourself because then you won't have the influence of anyone else around you. As you "poke around", see what sparks your interest. They usually have plenty of items to look such as: crystals, herbs, incense, many divination tools, books, CDs and more. If you find yourself drawn to crystals, then make sure the one you pick up, is the one you purchase and take home with you. There's a reason you chose it but you probably won't find that out until later on.

New To the New Age Store?
My first experience at a New Age store was amazing. I enjoyed the music that was playing, it was very soothing. They were burning incense that was not overbearing and they didn't follow me around like a car salesman at a dealership. I was in the store looking for "I don't know what". I knew I just had to go there.

Once in a New Age store, you'll find the people that work there are always very friendly and informative. They love what they do. You'll often find the owner at the cash register. So if you have questions, they can answer them for you. And if there is something you want or need and they don't carry it, just ask them. They are usually willing to special order it for you and will even give you a courtesy call when the item arrives. You just can't beat the service that they provide. At least that's been my experience.

To this day, I still stop in just to see what's new and to say "Hi". I just feel so great when I go in there. This is what happens when you connect with like-minded folks.

So as you can see, all of these things can lead you down any given path. Always make sure you go with what feels right to you, not because everyone else is doing it. Learning about your own natural gifts and talents should be your very own personal experience. You don't have to tell a single person what you are doing. So go ahead, jump right in. Enjoy it, because it's what you are meant to do. After all, we are all psychic.
