It's All About
Love By Stephen Jensen
Reviewed by Ron McCray In the Introduction, Stephen suggests that each of us at some time asks three questions: Why is the world as it is? He took these questions and used them as the three divisions of the book. Division I deals with what we perceive as the external world. He explains polarity and describes how we create our own reality, and though this is not a new concept, his perspective on it is fresh and easily understood. From that basis, he does an excellent job of describing male and female energies and their effects on how we create (and view) our external worlds. Division I provides the reader with the tools with which to understand the physical world. Division II delves into the question of, "Who am I?" with precision and logic that leads the reader step by step into his own internal world. The chapters in Division II deal systematically with chakras (a great explanation of an often confusing subject), the powerful emotions that shape our egos (fear, anger, self-pity, victimization, guilt, and finally emotional anesthesia), and the causal body. The causal body opens the door to understanding Spirituality at the core of which is Love. Stephen defines Love as having these components: giving, caring, responsibility, self-acceptance, respect, knowing, humility, and courage - a very comprehensive view. He explores self-love and why we often are not open to receiving love, suggesting as good a set of reasons as any I have read or heard. There is much wisdom here. Division III answers the question, "Can I change the world or me?" The answer to both is, "Yes!" In that answer lies hope for all of us, bar none. Division III is about healing one's self. The healing Stephen describes is not only physical; it is at every level of who we are as physical and ethereal beings. For many of us, healing our ethereal bodies begins with healing our physical bodies, a subject about which Stephen is personally knowledgeable given his experience with HIV. He defines disease and healing (including interpreting your own symptoms), then branches into methods of healing including chakra alignment and using the energies of the astral, mental, and causal bodies to dissipate the strong ego-based emotions identified in Division II. The book draws to an end with a great chapter on Love (Chapter 12) that focuses on how to learn to love ourselves, the key to everything else. The last chapter is about vibrational medicine and describes several modalities from visualization to ayuervedic medicine. This quote from Chapter 12 sums up the essence of It's All About Love for me: "The Beatles, in one of their many songs about Love, said it all when they said, "Love is the answer" and in another famous song, "all you need is Love, Love. Love is all you need." And they were right. It's that simple. There's nothing more to say - having a better life is about Love." From my experience, I completely agree with Stephen - and it is truly simple. Not necessarily easy, but simple. The degree of difficulty varies with the person, and I have not met anyone who would not benefit from the wisdom of It's All About Love. Stephen Jensen provides a road map to fulfillment as a human.

The contraction of HIV in 1992 was the spiritual crisis that caused Stephen to re-evaluate his life and to seek alternative methods of treatment. It is the rejection of the Western model for curing and the acceptance of the Eastern model for healing to which he attributes his healing. In doing Byron Catie's 'The Work,' Stephen accessed the Higher Consciousness that ultimately enabled him to get the big picture and to complete his first book, It's All About Love, and to finally feel healed of HIV.
