The Camino: By Shirley MacLaine Reviewed by Emily Dennis At times MacLaine's visions and dreams extend beyond mainstream religious beliefs and enter into popularized new age understandings. Although familiar to some, the principles are far from mundane, still evoking much thought and laughter as you sympathize with and understand her position. But she also travels still further in new age philosophy to the controversial and narrowly accepted - MacLaine wrote that she was tempted to omit one of her most impressive chapters for fear of causing a religious uproar because the nature of her vision/dream is such an incredible paradigm shift. Shirley MacLaine deals with the interesting topics of reincarnation, love, spirit guides, self-discovery, religion, and the lost world of Lemuria. This is a book that will make an impact at all levels, but especially on those who love the journey of life and the inner wisdom that is evoked along the way. I highly recommend it to anyone, young or old, experienced or novice, who enjoys the quest of inner spirituality.
