Awakening To Oneness Is Aquarius' Gift
ON JANUARY 19, as the sun entered Aquarius, we began
a new era with the inauguration of an American President who espouses
truly humanitarian values. Remarkable planetary aspects this month reveal
rapidly changing times that may have us feeling as if we are spinning
out of control. Yet there is an underlying perfection inherent in these
changes. The sign of the water bearer dispensing the gift of consciousness
on the masses, Aquarius is concerned with the welfare of all. Its main
thrust is to awaken humanity to an underlying truth; that we are all
One, and therefore, what we do to another, we do to ourselves, and what
we give to another, we give to ourselves.
The Secret Purpose To Tumultuous Times Is Revealed
This
is easy to say, but hard to actually do, and yet this awakening to our
essential oneness is the secret purpose inherent in these tumultuous
times. Ruled by the electric energy of the planet Uranus, the task of
the sign of Aquarius is to awaken us to the immense beauty, love and
creativity of our Higher Selves, our true essence. While the sun transits
Aquarius from January 19 until February 18, we have an opportunity to
get very clear about who we are, what has meaning to us in life, and
how we can interact in the world in a way that honors our oneness and
brings lasting fulfillment. For many, this implies change.
Healing Energy Helps To Transcend Our Limitations
Sometimes
conflict leads to the greatest awareness. Because February begins with
a tense aspect between Venus, the planet of values, and Pluto, the planet
of transformation, we begin the month facing challenges either with
money or in our love life, or both. Einstein said that a problem cannot
be solved at the same level of consciousness with which it was created,

and points in space, all in Aquarius, that chronicle our evolutionary
journey. We are at a pivotal choice point, a time of revolution in which

invited us to take a leap, make the changes you know in your heart are

the stage for a change in how we relate to our egos. By "ego,"

somehow separate, disenfranchised from life, from God, from each other,

food, and any substance we can get our hands on that will change this
bleak reality we have painted for ourselves.
Birthing Our Spirit, Being In Earth
But
the universe has another reality in mind for us and eclipses shake us
out of our comfort zones for a glimpse of the changes we must make if
we are to embark on the true journey of conscious living. The lunar
eclipse in Leo asks us to let go in the places that our egos have been
huddled in fear, open our hearts, minds, and spirits to a wave of love
and consciousness that is far brighter, much more capable, and will
lead us to create the world we all long for in our souls. The sun enters
visionary Pisces on February 18, leading to a new moon in Pisces on
February 24 that opens the doorway for us to courageously act upon our
inner truth, make the changes we know must be made, and create a life
