Gemini Shines Light and Humor At the End Of the Ttunnel

HOW DELIGHTFUL IT IS to have the sun dancing through the spirited, bright and communicative sign of Gemini! From May 20 until the Summer Solstice on June 20, Gemini lifts our spirits and we find a brighter outlook on life. Symbolized by the twins, and ruled by Mercury, the air sign of Gemini brings humor, intelligence and a lively wit. People with the sun, moon or rising sign in Gemini are playful and communicative, but can also be scattered as they try to satisfy a huge range of curiosity. Past Delays and Frustrations Teach Patience and Acceptance

Planetary energies over the past few months have not been the easiest as you many have noticed, with delays, disappointments and setbacks seemingly strategically placed in our way. For many, the period of Mercury retrograde has been especially challenging because our grand visions and plans for big changes and future development have been daunted or delayed, giving us yet another opportunity to practice patience and acceptance. It may be of some comfort to know that the things that are meant to manifest in our lives, will manifest, but the timing is up to the universe. By the beginning of the second week of June, with Mercury picking up speed and moving forward into Gemini, we should find it easier to create new experiences.

Full Moon Highlights Need To Get Focused and Embrace Changes

On June 7, we have a full moon in Sagittarius, opposite the sun in Gemini. Under normal circumstances this would promote quite a celebratory mood, but the planet of karma and life's lessons, Saturn, brings challenges that ask us to reevaluate our desires and get extremely focused. Of course, we can choose to celebrate anyway, but we will still need the self discipline to curtail fruitless activities, let go of outdated ideas, and direct our energies towards a purpose larger than our own entertainment. The full moon sheds light on the prevalent themes for the month. If we can release our resistance to change, a rare grouping in the sign of the humanitarian, Aquarius, of expansive Jupiter, mystical Neptune, and curative Chiron teaches us to go beyond our personal, fear-driven desires to embrace the miracle of our higher guidance and spiritual reality.

As Values Shift, New Optimism and Innovate Ideas Appear

We may collectively undergo a radical transformation of our values during the first and second week of June. The current extreme imbalances of justice, freedom, and prosperity in the major cultures of our world are catalyzing important changes on a global scale, and this is, of course, necessary if we are to achieve our Aquarian-Age goal of planetary cooperation. During the second week of June, the sun moves into favorable alignment with Jupiter, Neptune and Chiron, bringing a sense of hope, inspiration, and optimism and Mercury interacts with the genius of Uranus to bring innovative ideas for change.

Summer Solstice and New Moon Usher In Big Changes

On June 20, the sun enters the sign of Cancer, and we have the Summer Solstice for the Northern hemisphere. This marks the longest day of the year, and a time of maximum energy in which to bring our goals to fruition. A new moon in Cancer follows on June 22, planting a seed for a new month-long cycle of nurturing and preserving our creations. Occurring exactly opposite transformative Pluto in Capricorn, the new moon also carries the seed of healing and transformation on a personal and cultural scale. The time for big change is at hand, and effective action can now be taken. If our vision is clear, our hearts are aligned, and we are willing to follow our higher guidance, we will be shown the role we can play in the healing of our world.
