Taurus heralds a time of fertility and abundance
The month of May finds us deep in the heart of spring with its longer days, warmer weather, and glorious flowers and plants in bloom. In the Northern Hemisphere, spring is traditionally a time of fruition, fertility and abundance. The sun entered the sign of the bull, Taurus, on April 19 after completing it’s transit through Aries, which initiated the Spring Equinox. A fixed, feminine, receptive, earth sign, the Taurus nature brings warmth, stability, nurturing and perseverance.

Planetary aspects affect our sense of purpose and direction
While the sun travels through Taurus, we are reminded of our values and we work to establish a strong foundation in our lives, so that we can feel nurtured and secure. During the first week of May, the sun in Taurus enters a difficult aspect with Neptune, bringing our life direction and creative drive into question. Other more favorable aspects, however, including a wonderful trine from Jupiter in Cancer, bring support for positive changes that enhance our sense of purpose and direction.

New Moon brings clarity of values and goals
On May 12, we have a new moon in Taurus that sets the stage for coming changes that require us to be extraordinarily clear in our values and goals. Uranus, the giant planet that brings wide scale change and revolution, is continuing the transit of it’s home sign, Aquarius, where it has been confronting our ideals and the major structures in the world’s societies for many years. From May 12 through the 22, Uranus challenges the sun in Taurus. The issue is whether or not we are living a life that is in integrity with our values and beliefs, and the question is whether our "inherited" values still have validity in current times. This is the time to question everything we have been taught about life, and to discover our own truth and meaning. Once this is accomplished, we must live that truth.

Mercury retrograde helps surface hidden agendas
The planet of communication, Mercury, turns retrograde (apparent backwards motion) in Gemini on May 15 for a three-week period of review and reassessment that serves to help us get clear about what is truly important to us in life. For the first three weeks of May, we have a stellium of planets traveling together in Gemini, the sign that represents communication and our ability to interact with our environment. Coupled with Saturn in Gemini and opposing Pluto in Sagittarius, this grouping of planets puts intense pressure on us to release hidden agendas, disclose information, and communicate truthfully. Surprising and perhaps shocking information may come to the surface this month.

Neptune inspires vision and inspiration
Unconditional love and acceptance is another theme emerging this month as the stellium of planets in Gemini form a favorable aspect with Neptune, which represents our higher, spiritual nature. Through this aspect, we are given vision and inspiration. It is as if the veil between the worlds parts, and we can truly see the beauty and wisdom within each soul. Together, we begin our journey, which is the return to Love.

Lunar eclipse brings important changes
On May 20, the sun enters Gemini, adding it’s light to the higher frequencies of energy being showered upon us by Neptune this month. In the last week of May, it becomes clear how to direct our energies and where to invest our time and money. On May 26, we have a Lunar Eclipse with the full moon in Sagittarius, opposite the sun in Gemini. All eclipses bring significant and sometimes profound changes into our lives that take up to three months for us to integrate. The eclipse in Sagittarius-Gemini brings changes in our philosophy of life, and in how our spiritual beliefs are being expressed and integrated into our daily lives. It also affects how we communicate as we begin to notice the powerful effect our words have in shaping the reality we experience.

	Your finances and long-range goals are highlighted this month as you find new ways to express emerging hopes and ideals, and dispense with outworn knowledge and habits. Look again, with fresh eyes at those close to you.
	So many of your fixed ways of dealing with money and property are being challenged in this time. This may be the opportunity you need to alter your career to bring it closer to realizing your highest dreams and aspirations.
	Now is the time to reexamine yourself, your life and your loves. So much delight is possible when we stop, look a little deeper, and allow our Spiritual nature to guide us towards our highest intentions. This month’s eclipse brings necessary changes in direction.
	Give yourself the possibility of realizing your dreams by holding clearly the vision of your aspirations and allowing Spirit to guide you. Your daily habits and rituals must change to make room for the expansion that is happening in your life.
	Partnerships or love relationships go through challenges this month, and it becomes vital for you to let go of control and allow love to guide your interactions. If you have forgotten, you will get the opportunity this month to rediscover fun and purpose in what you do.
	Major changes in your career and home life may be stressful, but are necessary. Your daily routines are upset and you may feel off-balance. Let go of trying to "figure it out"’ and allow your Higher Self to guide your choices.
	The way you customarily express yourself is likely to be challenged until you move your awareness into a higher state. Legal, moral, and spiritual issues occupy your time. Life’s mysteries come in many forms and you are getting ready to access new dimensions within yourself.
	Old patterns around your material status are getting shaken as you realize that your true abundance comes from, and is aligned with Spirit. Be in love in all areas of your life, let your spirit soar, and watch your financial rejuvenation manifest.
	Communication breakdowns are possible now, if you are not 100% clear in your intentions. For your own peace of mind, it is important to be completely honest with yourself, and in all your relationships. Creative inspiration flows this month.
	Mundane situations may reveal deeper issues that give you cause to stop and reassess your life and the things you do. What is your greatest concern if it is not your delight in the life you live? Can you allow yourself to be joyful? Money flows when you do what you love to do.
	Long-range plans come under scrutiny as you appreciate how important your home life and creative pursuits are to you. Be open to seeing yourself in an entirely new light, perhaps becoming daily more aligned to your spiritual nature.
	Truth is One, but we forget sometimes. Now is the time to walk your talk and be clear how important it is for you to express your truth. This month, your career goals may be realigning themselves to what your heart really yearns for.
