Taurus lays the groundwork for building something of value

FOLLOWING ITS FIREY FLIGHT through Aries, the sun entered the solid, stable domain of Taurus on April 19. A fixed, feminine earth sign, Taurus brings nurturing, stability and fertility to assist in bringing the creative Aries impulse into form. Taurus lays the groundwork, bringing the form and discipline needed to build something of lasting value.

Warm and generous Taurus people bring stability

People born with the sun, moon, or rising sign in Taurus are warm, patient, often generous people who appreciate beauty in all of its forms. This month gives us the opportunity to “digest” and integrate into our consciousness and daily lives what we learned through the eclipses. Essentially, we have the opportunity to become more and more open to our higher guidance and innate wisdom, allowing it to increasingly guide our daily lives.

New Moon brings release of illusions

On May 8, we have a new moon in Taurus in exact square aspect to the planet of higher spiritual awareness, Neptune. This is a “heads up” from the universe, asking us to clear our minds and hearts, release our illusions, and fully trust our higher spiritual awareness to guide our lives perfectly. As the frequency of planet Earth increases and our auric fields become more and more visible, any distortion that comes from lying, cheating, or any unclear motivation will be perceptible. The Neptune square to the new moon provides an opportunity to see where we are out of alignment with truth, and to correct it.

Mercury-Saturn teaches balance in the middle of creativity

For the first ten days of May, the planet of communication, Mercury is in difficult aspect with Saturn. This will tend to slow us down, sometimes frustrating our movement or creation, but it serves the purpose of giving us the pause needed to gain much needed awareness. Often in the enthusiasm of new creative energy, we forget to nurture ourselves, and to care for our loved ones. The Mercury-Saturn aspect teaches us that the end does not justify the means, and in fact, the means, or the way we are in any given moment, is more important than the goal we are striving to achieve.

Love relationships undergo trial

From May 1 through the 19, the sun in Taurus forms favorable aspects with Saturn, helping us to maintain consistent, stable effort towards our manifestations. From May 9 through the end of the month, the planet of love, beauty and relationships, Venus, forms difficult aspects with feisty Mars, and this is accentuated as volatile Uranus joins the mix from May 6-16. Especially in the second week of May, our love relationships may be rocky as issues arise at the same time that important changes need to occur. Luckily, Jupiter in Libra and Neptune in Aquarius help with very favorable aspects to Venus, pointing the way to restore harmony through raising the vibration to a higher frequency in which spiritual awareness brings clarity and love contains, softens, and resolves the issues.

Full Moon highlights Gemini playfulness

The sun completes its transit of Taurus, entering playful, inquisitive sign of Gemini on May 20. Following the grounding, building and stabilizing influence of Taurus, Gemini takes the new creation into the world, and into marketplace, scattering the knowledge for all to hear, and providing linkage between various peoples and groups so they can benefit from the interchange. On May 23, we have a full moon in Sagittarius, opposite the sun in Gemini, bringing light relief from some of the month’s challenges, and opening the playing field for many new possibilities. The last week in May is a good time to do things you really enjoy, and will be especially good for any artistic, spiritual, or creative pursuits.

As communication difficulties arise, family members may fail to provide the support you desire, and later in the month, romantic relations may be strained. 	The new moon in your sign brings career dilemmas to the forefront. What you envision being able to accomplish conflicts with the reality of time and energy constraints, but taking one step at a time while holding your vision will bring eventual success. Create your home life to be a place of beauty, balance and renewal, and you will easily tap into the higher spiritual realms.
	New career commitments may place a strain on your love life and partnerships. As communication becomes difficult, be careful to avoid saying things you will later regret. You may find it difficult to clearly communicate your feelings, so focus your energy instead on the things that bring you pleasure like friendships, art, music and beauty in all forms.
	You may find yourself questioning your religious or spiritual philosophy this month as you experience difficulty maintaining the traditional discipline or routine associated with your beliefs. Several expectations become disappointments early in May, as communication that would be necessary to resolve issues is difficult to sustain without breakdown. Creative solutions are possible when you let go of control and allow yourself to trust in your higher guidance.
	This year’s tremendous effort toward achieving career goals finds you working harder than pleasure-seeking Libra likes to, and this month is no exception. Although for Sagittarius, this pace is not the most desirable, it is necessary if you wish to successfully manifest the expansion and fulfillment of your long-term goals and dreams.
	Balancing career demands with home and family life has been your theme this year, and you will now see this how much you have progressed and how much you may still need to change. Career opportunities that have been waiting in the wings will not manifest until June, so this is a good month to give some extra attention to your home and family. You may experience some frustration in the timing of financial increase, but it is due to arrive soon.
	You experience greater spiritual opening and awakening this month, as new realizations come one after the other. The difficulty for you remains in bringing your higher vision to earth and integrating it into your daily life, especially with your family. To accomplish this, it is necessary to release old habitual patterns of relating, and allow your intuition to guide you into new pathways.
