Aquarius brings humanitarian principles
ON JANUARY 19TH, the sun entered the sign of brotherhood/sisterhood, Aquarius. A fixed air sign, Aquarius is about vision and communication, and particularly about spreading ideas that will potentially benefit humanity. The fixed nature of Aquarius helps us to build and sustain relationships through communication that supports humanitarian objectives. People born with the sun, moon, or rising sign in Aquarius generally have high principles and a genuine concern for planetary well-being. Aquarius works best through group involvement where personal concerns are given less priority than the welfare of the whole.
Planetary Grand Cross releases, bringing new activity
The new moon in Aquarius on January 29, coupled with Chiron, Mercury and Neptune, brings everyone's attention to humanitarian concerns. 2006 began with a particularly tense aspect, a "Grand Cross" (four or more planets opposite each other and at right angles in the sky), initiated last November, involving the planets, Jupiter, Mars, Neptune, and Saturn, all in fixed signs, bringing delay and frustration to most of our endeavors. The aspect released in late January, but parts of it continue until mid-February when we will begin to make good use of the wisdom we have gained through having our activities curtailed so we could look deeply at our motivations, hopefully aligning them with humanitarian principles.
Refinement of love and personal relationships is the theme for 2006
On February 3, Venus, the planet symbolizing love, money, art, beauty, and all things that make life in human form desirable, returned to direct motion in Capricorn after being retrograde (apparent backwards motion) since December 24, which brought a review and refinement of our values and personal relationships. Planets in retrograde create a time to bring things previously left undone, or unspoken, to completion. If there is a relationship that needs healing or completion, Venus retrograde will bring this to your attention. While Venus was retrograde, we experienced reassessment of our past and current relationships, as well as reevaluation of our relationship to money, and the values that guide our lives. We should emerge by late February with much clarity on these issues, but since the New Year began with Venus retrograde, the refinement of human love and personal relationships also becomes one of the themes we will experience throughout 2006.
Full moon in Leo illuminates our life-path
On February 12, we have a full moon in Leo, opposite the sun in Aquarius, revealing where we are personally in terms of creating, believing in, and working toward a vision that is for the good of all humanity. In the past several months, many of us have experienced a comprehensive review of our chosen career or profession, having been inspired to look deeply at what motivates our actions and choices in order to bring ourselves into alignment with what is truly important for us to accomplish during our brief sojourn on planet earth. Transformative Pluto guides us to make necessary and favorable changes as the full moon releases energy, shedding its light on our current path in life so we can walk it with certainty.
Sun in Pisces teaches trust in divine perfection
The sun leaves Aquarius on February 18, entering the sign of the fishes, Pisces. The last sign of the zodiac, and a mutable water sign, Pisces takes us into the deep waters of the universe and the super conscious mind, inspiring spiritual inquiry. One of the most difficult lessons during a cycle of earth incarnations is that of surrender, and Pisces teaches us to let go, allow, and trust in the divine perfection unfolding before us. During the last ten days of February, renew your energy by giving yourself the gift of time to meditate, pray, or reflect on the miracle of life and the beauty of Spirit.
New moon with Uranus zaps us into higher consciousness
On February 27, we have a new moon in Pisces, coupled with the planet, Uranus. Known as "the great awakener", Uranus takes us beyond the physical bounds of time and space into higher dimensions of reality, awakening us to the soul realm. This is a very potent planetary configuration that can jolt us into higher realization, if we will remain open. Jupiter in Scorpio forms a favorable aspect with the Pisces group of planets, expanding our horizons further to demonstrate how we create at a soul level, magnetizing to ourselves everything we need for the set of experiences we designed before incarnating.
