Gemini Brings the Delightful Dance of Sharing Information

THE SUN ENTERED the sign of the twins, Gemini, on May 20. A mutable air sign, Gemini is one of only three signs represented by human symbols. It symbolizes the mental process of observing data, analyzing it, drawing conclusions, and communicating. Those of us born with the sun, moon, or rising sign in Gemini are blessed with the gift of disseminating information, spreading news far and wide like Johnny Appleseed, so others can benefit. Full Moon Highlights Coming Changes

We have a full moon in Sagittarius, opposite the sun in Gemini on June 11, illuminating the themes for the month. Since Gemini brings movement and change for all of us, we can expect our lives to change in some way this month, and the area of our life that will be most effected can be seen by looking at where Gemini and Sagittarius are in your astrology chart. In the first week of June, the sun in Gemini forms a dynamic aspect with the planet of revolutionary change, Uranus, bringing awareness to changes in consciousness that will spur life decisions. The planet of love, pleasure and beauty - Venus - helps smooth the changes with very favorable aspects to Uranus and to the planet of communication, Mercury. This should ease the upset brought with the changes by bringing understanding and supportive friendship. At the full moon in the second week of June, the sun forms a very favorable aspect with the planet of vision and higher spiritual awareness, Neptune, giving us inspiration to follow our dreams.

Springtime Expansiveness Curtailed by Demands for Excellence

Springtime usually brings a sense of expansiveness along with a desire to move forward after the stillness of winter, and we have been experiencing much movement in our lives during April and May that we may expect will continue in June. However, we have planetary aspects building in mid June, culminating on June 22, that will tend to put the brakes on future expansion. Jupiter, the planet of expansion, now in Scorpio, wants to move forward with transforming our lives while Saturn, the planet of contraction, traveling in Leo, together with action-oriented Mars, interrupts Jupiter's expansive flow. Representing boundaries and standards, Saturn limits growth to ensure that progress happens in a way that is beneficial and congruent with its high standards. Patience will be needed this summer and fall as we refine, correct, and improve our projects before we see them fully manifested.  

Summer Solstice Energy Brings Refinement and Inspiration

On June 21, the sun completes it journey through Gemini, entering the sign of Cancer and initiating the Summer Solstice. The energies at the solstice set the tone for the entire summer season, and we have a mixture of the Jupiter-Saturn/Mars holding pattern described in the previous paragraph along with very expansive and creative planetary aspects that will bring our gifts, abilities and talents to fruitful expression. As the sun moves along in Cancer, it forms a grand triangle in the heavens with expansive Jupiter in Scorpio and revolutionary Uranus in Pisces. If we will have patience with the Saturnian process of improvement and refinement, this gestalt of planetary energies has the potential to bring us very deeply in touch with our inner spiritual nature, taking us into the heart of what truly moves and inspires our soul.

Soul Path Shifts to Bring Lessons on Surrender

A point in our solar system of great interest to astrologers is the nodal axis of the moon, which guides our soul development. Every eighteen months the nodal axis changes astrological signs, but, unlike the planets, it moves backwards through the zodiac. On June 23, the nodal axis moves from Aries to Pisces, and this opens the doorway to an entire new set of soul lessons for the next eighteen months. Where previously we have been learning through Aries about taking initiative and what drives us through our experience in life, we now will be learning about surrendering to our higher spiritual wisdom and allowing the natural unfolding of our lives to manifest through us.

New Moon Brings Clarity and Spiritual Attunement

We have a new moon in Cancer on June 25 - highlighting the potential for emotional clarity, patience, and spiritual attunement. As we create our lives with higher awareness by following the guidance of our souls wisdom, the refinement required by Saturn can be gracefully accepted and incorporated into our creations, making our work, play, and relationships much more fulfilling.
