Sun in Sagittarius Brings Philosophical Exploration
THE SUN COMPLETED its journey through the powerful,
transformative sign of Scorpio, entering Sagittarius on November 22.
A mutable, positive fire sign, Sagittarius is symbolized by the half-horse,
half-man archer setting his sights high into the heavens. Following
the challenges to personal transformation of the deeply emotional, magnetic
and psychic sign of Scorpio, fiery Sagittarius takes us into the lofty
realm of ideals, religion, and philosophy. If you were born with the
sun, moon, or rising sign in Sagittarius, you have a lifetime of exploration
into the meaning and purpose of life on earth.

December is the Month to Move Forward with Positive Changes
Last
month, we experienced a retrograde (apparent backwards motion) Mercury,
slowing our projects and plans so we could have time to review, re-assess,
and make necessary changes and improvements. In the third week of November,
Mercury, along with Uranus, the planet of radical change and awakening
to higher states of consciousness, returned to direct motion. As these
two planets gather speed in early December, we begin to move forward
with our vision for change, and can now successfully implement future
plans and actions.

The Full Moon Highlights Expansion and Success
On
December 4, we have a full moon in Gemini, opposite the sun in Sagittarius,
illuminating the theme of expansion into new directions. At the full
moon, we are able to see clearly what changes we need to make in order
to bring our vision into reality, and we are inspired to follow our
principles and higher guidance. If we resist making necessary changes,
we may experience pain or limitation, but if we follow our guidance,
the full moon aspects help to catapult us to a new level of creativity
and success.

Jupiter Enters Sagittarius, Opening New Avenues for Expansion
Sagittarius'
ruling planet, Jupiter, completed its year-long transit of Scorpio on
November 24, and has moved into its home sign of Sagittarius. For the
past six months, Jupiter in Scorpio has been in a tense aspect with
Saturn in Leo, and this has created much frustration in trying to move
forward constructively in our lives. Difficult as it may have been at
times, the Saturn-Jupiter aspect has forced us to question our life
in terms of the role we play in the world, and required us to slow down
enough to lay a proper and strong foundation. Jupiter is now released
from the aspect with Saturn, and has moved into Sagittarius, inspiring
expansion and new vision for our lives.

Grouping of Planets in Sagittarius Increases Energy for New
Creation
December starts with several planets in Sagittarius, and by December
7, we have a stellium (large grouping of planets), including the sun,
Mercury, Mars, Venus, Jupiter and Pluto, all traveling in Sagittarius.
This triple-underscores the Sagittarian theme of freedom seeking, adventure,
expansion, and the search for meaning through understanding higher principles.
After many months of hard work and laying the groundwork, we begin to
see clearly where we are going in life, and to embrace our new creation
with joy and excitement.

New Moon in Sagittarius Brings Broad Scale Changes
On December 20, we have a new moon in Sagittarius, which interacts with
the stellium of Sagittarius planets to set a theme of philosophical
and spiritual inquiry for the coming four weeks, and for the coming
new year. With the planet of change, Uranus, still interacting dynamically
with the Sagittarius planets, some of our vision will be fairly easy
to manifest, but some will require broad-scale changes. We must let
go of the past, and of any habit or attachment that no longer serves
us so we are free to create with a clear heart and aligned intention.

The Sun Enters Capricorn, Helping Us to Implement Our Vision
The sun leaves Sagittarius, entering Capricorn on December 21 at the
Winter Solstice. Bringing a still point designed to give us a pause
for reflection, the Winter Solstice gathers and concentrates energy
for grounding and implementing all that was created, or harvested, during
the Autumnal season. At the solstice, Venus and the moon align gracefully
with the planet of change, Uranus, helping us to usher in a new year
of enlightened creation. This holiday season, may we all be blessed
with love, wisdom, and compassion for all others in our human family.
