Last month I introduced you to the graceful and confident spirit of the fox. This month I invite you to experience yet another powerful energy, to slip through the veil of time and see your life after you have become one with the calm and centered spirit of the giraffe.

Here, come here, out to the wide African plains, where the air is dry and the sky is clear. Feel how your soul stretches out with freedom as you connect with the open spaces. Stand here under this tree and feel your neck stretching up as you rub your head around in the tasty leaves. Feel the oneness of the plains, the oneness of all being, a deep knowing that you are exactly right for this place, for this moment. Let the spirit of the giraffe fill you completely.

Love of Your Own Unique Body
You know you are exactly as you need to be. You have adapted to this world and built your own uniqueness based upon its requirements. You are a survivor, supremely comfortable in your own skin. You know that your unique appearance and structure are exactly what are needed to do well in this life. And you do very well indeed.

You carry your uniqueness like a badge of honor. You embrace your appearance. You are filled with pride in being exactly who you are. You have a strong connection with your body and would never dream of feeling shamed of anything you are. You are never envious of others or wishing you could be any other way than exactly how you are. You love your individual and unique body. You are the giraffe.

Foresight
As the giraffe, you have a strong ability to see into the future. Life never catches you unprepared, for you have the highest vantage point in the plains. Your long neck and excellent eyesight allow you to see what is coming and prepare for it. You are the first to know when it is time to move on. You are the first to know when the wisest thing is to stay just where you are, welcoming the cloud of rain you have seen gathering in the distance, ready to drink your fill.

You are exactly where you need to be and you know it. And if trouble is on the way, you see that as well and set your long legs to running, taking you to the next place to be. You are always prepared. You are readiness itself, for you are the giraffe.

Ease in All Situations
You are comfortable in both social situations and in being alone. This is one of your great gifts. When you are with the other giraffes, either running across the plains or embracing each other with your long, lovely necks, you have a strong sense of community. You and the other giraffes understand community and how to help each other, and the offspring of one is the offspring of all, embraced by the group, loved and protected.

But when you are alone, and you do need these times alone as well, the tree is ample company, and you entwine within the tree as you do with the other giraffes. Your relationship with all parts of nature is balanced and comfortable. Wherever you are, you are at home. However you are, with others or alone, you are at ease. You are never self-conscious; you are never worried. You live in this moment and this moment only, and you do so with great ease and comfort, relaxed and ready. What this moment brings is always right and you know it, for you are the giraffe.

The Regard of Others
Your deep sense of oneness and your ready connection with all that surrounds you make you very easy to be around. Others enjoy your company and are naturally drawn to you. You never panic or get upset, for your deep ease and comfort with others, combined with your ability to see what is coming, make you supremely relaxed. Others are drawn to this sense of peace and steadiness. Also, your great comfort with yourself and your appearance make others feel at ease. They love your easy and ready confidence, the way you embrace who you are, even though you are not exactly like them. Whether you are with your own kind or with those quite dissimilar, you are always relaxed in your own beautiful skin.

You are what you want to be and others are naturally drawn to your presence. You are the giraffe.

Sharing
You are always willing to share your knowledge with others. When you see what is coming across the plains, you are always pleased to let the shorter animals know. And they have come to trust you and rely upon you for this far-seeing talent of yours. Over time you have gathered a group of followers who count upon you to let them know how things will be. It comes so easily for to you to catch what the next trend will be, what shifts in direction are required, where everything is heading. This is a natural talent and is a great source of power to you, for yourself and for others. And it comes as easily to you as breathing, for you are the giraffe.

Abundance
Your reach allows you to be an excellent provider. There is always something for you in your environment, no matter what the weather and the circumstances. You are never worried about your future or how you will survive. You know that you have all the tools you need, from your far-reaching sight to the reach of your long neck and legs. The universe provides for you and always lets you know far in advance if you need to move on to greener pastures. All of this is known within you deeply, so that you can stroll through life unconcerned with the mundane daily concerns of others, who scramble to get by. The world is your garden, for you are the giraffe.

Connection to the Spiritual
There is no separation for you between the physical and the spiritual. Just being alive and taking one more breath of the free African air is a deeply spiritual experience. For the time you are here, you are always deeply connected to your physical self, connected in joy and oneness, connected in a deep sense of being, a part of the landscape, a part of this magnificent physical being.

And when the day is clear and the sun shining down, you sometimes choose to walk out by yourself into the great glow of the sun and reach up your neck to the sky, simply to feel your closeness to the heavens. At these moments you know that your long, lovely neck is not just for seeing far and for providing so well for yourself; it is also a special grace that allows you to touch the heavens. At these moments you know that your connection with heaven and earth is deep and your peace inside is endless.

Stretch up your neck and feel the grace rain down upon you, for you are the giraffe, and the world is yours.

How to Join with Giraffe Energy
I would like to share with you now a special invocation to bring you into oneness with this powerful giraffe energy. Use this invocation each morning while opening yourself to the flow of giraffe energy that will surely come.

I breathe in deeply and open myself to golden cleansing energy
I ask that it may flow through me, from head to toe,
Clearing me and preparing me for the vibrant energy of the giraffe

My mind is quiet and clear
I am open now to new ways of thinking

My heart opens wide and grows soft and warm
I am open now to new ways of loving

My center grows calm and deep
Like an endless pool of still water
I am open now to new ways of being
I am ready

I stand in the light of love
And invite giraffe energy to come to me now
To fill me and empower me
To transform my life through the great gifts of the giraffe

I feel the giraffe energy as it fills me
I am filled with love for my own body as I stretch my beautiful neck up
and dine on a few green leaves
I feel safe as I look out across Africa and know that I will see exactly
what is coming miles before it arrives
I feel my heart open to a deep and loving connection with others
and with life itself
I know my power, the power of the giraffe

I am now one with giraffe energy
I will feel it and be it every moment of my life
For I am the giraffe

I love being just who I am in all ways
I love my body and my uniqueness
For I am the giraffe

I have great powers of foresight and trust myself to know what is coming
I enjoy the company of others yet know how to stay just who I am
For I am the giraffe

I give thanks for this gift, for this grace
And with each breath I take I now know
I am the giraffe

And now, you are one with the giraffe. Release any concerns you have had about your appearance and allow yourself to fill with the love of your own uniqueness, exactly as you are. Learn to trust the deep gift of foresight that is now yours, as you easily see what has not yet been revealed to others. Enjoy your calm and centered life, full of the deep enjoyment of being just who you are.

Stand tall; you are the giraffe.
