AS
LONG AS WE are devoting all of our energies to "making
a living" we are hard pressed to manage time to fulfill our spiritual
yearnings. Spending a part of one day a week, either Saturdays or
Sundays, for a few hours in congregational prayer or meditation, or
chanting mantras for several minutes a day is not going to do it for
us unless we also bring a great presence into our lives during all
other times. As our lives tend to get busier and busier in these increasingly
toxic times, we need assistance and reminders to cherish our spiritual
nature as much as we possibly can... otherwise, we are going to remain
chained to the cycle of life and death without ever consciously attaining
our full potential as Beings of Light.
We are able to shape our destiny only when we awaken to the potentials
that are available to us, accept them as our own and play them through
correctly, consciously and deliberately. Clear intention counts for
everything. But how to arrive at clear intention if one has not
attuned to what one honestly seeks for one's greatest good? Felicity
and abundance are our nature as spirited and spiritual beings if we
can only extricate ourselves from the belief systems that condemn
us to our self-imposed treadmill of fulfilling the apparently "needful."
The answers to our most essential issues are inside each one of us and
are available to us at any moment.
First, we must pay attention to the reality playing out around us
in our lives as our first clue to who we are, since it is a pure reflection
of us. From witnessing the outer, we can shift our gaze to the inner.
We each have access to the clues that draw us to truth, if we can
allow ourselves to move out of the “matrix” and the apparent
constraints of "making a living," "fitting in,"
"not rocking the boat," to live our life consistently from
our own precious, unique personal integrity.
Our personal integrity springs from our soul's growth, and our soul's
growth is dependent on the acceptance of our “vehicle's”
(body-mind-nature) make-up for our life span on earth. Design is a
graphic representation of our unique nature. No two vehicles have
the same Design and even though two souls might have the same trajectory,
no two people can ever live the same life. We are, each of us, unique
and responsible for our own life and what we do with it.
Design is an amazing tool for us to be able to comprehend the capabilities,
tendencies, preferences, and other parameters in our life’s
journey as consciousness in a human form.
When
we comprehend the nature of our vehicle’s Design, we have the
means to interact in our life from a place of personal clarity at
all times and in all situations.
In this article, we look at the Design of Bono Vox, lead singer with
the highly successful band from Ireland, U2, (You too!) and world
humanitarian whose causes affect many people.
Bono was born in Dublin, Ireland on May 10, 1960.
He was born into the Incarnation of “Explanation,” through
which he feels compelled to explain to anyone and everyone the workings
of underlying truths in our Universe, according to his own perspective.
By Design, he has three areas of activation in his chart. The first,
and perhaps most energetically obvious, is his
“Generator” part that is activated by the channel 59 -
6, the Channel of intimacy. Gate 59 is activated consciously and unconsciously
by Pluto and Gate 6, by the conscious and unconscious North Node,
that affects one’s life destiny from the age of 40 onwards.
Increasingly as Bono gets older, he will finds himself drawn into
new and different friendships and partnerships. Pluto’s presence
in his Gate 59 demands that he enters into close contacts with others
and bring transformation to himself and others through those contacts;
Pluto’s presence in the 4th and 6th line of Gate 59 implies
that the level of intimacy is going to be directed to close friendships,
rather than more lasting sexual intimacies. The Nodal presence in
Gate 6 in lines 1 and 3 imply a certain reluctance to get involved
with people unless he can rely on their emotional natures being controlled
and sensitive.
A
second area of Bono’s Design is the connection between
his Root and Spleen Centers through the defined channel 28 - 38, the
channel of struggle, stubbornness and the pursuit of personally meaningful
levels of quality in life.
This
channel represents a highly individual trait of not settling for anything
in one’s life that has not passed one’s particular personal
standards. The activation here is between unconscious Saturn in Gate
38 and the 5th line of choosing one’s fights appropriately and
of being able to recognize one’s allies at a glance, and, Bono’s
conscious Moon, relating to his whole sphere of feeling memory in
Gate 28 and line 2. This implies an ability/willingness to spontaneously
involve oneself with just about anyone, human or otherwise, who might
further one’s aims and pursuit of personally meaningful quality
in life!
In the Root Center, Bono has activation in Gate 54 in the 4th line
with both his unconscious Venus and conscious Saturn. The unconscious
Venus probably relates genetically to his maternal grandmother, and
his conscious Saturn relates to his lifelong meditations, trials and
also his shadow nature. Of all the 384 lines in the IChing, the 54.4
is one of the most difficult to adjust to in one’s life. It
implies that impatience never serves but also, that attaining to what
one truly searches for in one’s life will be elusive, and patience
might not even bring the actualization of one’s wishes! It indicates
that one is always subservient to the whims of the Universe and the
“will of the Gods,” and, therefore, subject to potentially
grand achievements and equally grand disillusionments - all of
which have to be taken in stride.
The Third area of Bono’s Design is a projected
part that connects between the Crown Center, our Center of Inspiration
at the top of the chart, through the Ajna Center, our place of mental
awareness, through the Throat Center, our place of expression to the
Self Center, the area from which we derive connection into all of
our surroundings.
In Bono’s chart, the channel 61 - 24 relates to a “knowing
awareness” that can, at times, cause him be unrealistic to the
realities of his own life, leading him to withdraw to think and rethink
the multiplicity of options that are presented to him. It can cause
him at times to be overly mental and persistent in refining all kinds
of mental considerations. It is a highly individualized thought form
that can be extremely imaginative but also extremely unreasonable.
From the Ajna Center to the Throat Center, Bono has the 43 - 23 defined
by his conscious Earth-Sun opposition, in the first lines. This channel
is sometimes called the channel of the “Genius/Freak”
because anyone who articulates their thoughts into words through this
channel is constrained to interpret pulses of insights into language.
If the words come out right, and the audience is ready to hear them,
the “Genius” is obvious, but if the words don’t
quite hit the spot and the audience is not ready for the transfer
of insight, it has been the “Freak” talking! Inevitably
“Genius” can bring about rapid assimilation of new insights
into universal acceptance and practice. “Freak” gets decreasing
exposure unless he or she works on language skills and timing.
In the Ajna Center, Bono also has Gate 11 activated unconsciously
with his Jupiter in the 5th line of the philanthropist, and Gate 4
activated from his Mother’s genetic input, in line 3, bringing
a tendency to want a shortcut on qualified rational answers to rational
problems. Since, by Design, Bono is becoming steadily more and more
Emotionally defined, he will begin to recognize that “feeling”
solutions bring far greater satisfaction for him than do mental solutions.
From the lower corner of the Throat Center, Bono has the channel 31
- 7 defined unconsciously with his Moon in Gate 31 and the 1st line
implying that he has always known himself to be influential.
At
the Self Center, he has Gate 7 activated consciously by his Uranus,
the planet of awakening through the unexpected, in the 5th line called
“the General.” Generals know how to make any campaign
succeed. The only real difficulty for Generals is in working out which
campaign they want to contribute their immense gifts towards and also
how they wished to be recompensed for their efforts in directing successful
outcomes!
Also activated in Bono’s Self Center is Gate 10 in line 6, activated
by his Jupiter, implying that if anyone is appropriate in their behavior
towards other people at all times, it is Bono. He also has Gate 25,
the Gate of Innocence, activated by Mars, the planet of deeds and
actions, in the first line of selfless innocence. People who have
this Gate and line can be very sensitive to people who are clumsy,
both physically and energetically, in their own lives.
In
conclusion
Bono
needs to be very strongly attuned within his own space of clarity
before he commits to anyone or anything. This personal clarity involves
integrating each of the three parts of his Design, a process that naturally
involves other people coming into his world to “connect”
him up energetically. It is my experience that those with triple-split
Designs can be the most centered and wise of people if they only allow
themselves to be patient until they have integrated their three perspectives.
More and more, Bono will be called to expand his presence into world
concerns, breaking down class and racial barriers with his tenacity
and far-reaching insights. Living as a strongly defined individual,
as is Bono, has its challenges, particularly when others cannot attune
to his sometimes radical and novel suggestions and practices. But being
such an individual as Bono also has its delights when people attune
to his nature and suddenly get empowered by grasping on to something
apart from what has been handed down to them as a fixed reality.
We are Designed to be free, so let us all recognize who we are as
unique individual beings, align ourselves within our own inbuilt clarity
and take care of the “needful” so we can make space to
deliberately align ourselves with our truth on a continuing and expansive
basis!
