| SINCE BEING HAS NO OPPOSITE, dualism is only a construct of the mind...a reflected (and projected) made-up story that Being is telling to itself in order to play. And our chronic self-absorption plays a big part in the telling...and the re-telling...of that story. In essence, we're all just worshipping ourselves at the private altar of "ME." And ironically, we all end up playing both the Priest and the sacrificial lamb.
The nature of the mind is to keep the screen of Consciousness filled with seductive manifestations. In short, we all love the razzle-dazzle that comes along with the appearance of "The Other." Above all, your mind doesn't want to get kicked out of the "Ego Game" too quickly. It desperately wants to be the last final Survivor. The Big Cosmic Joke, however, is that the mind is as non-existent as is the very ego that it's been trying so hard to protect. Ah, isn't it fun to pretend?
You can't turn either towards Consciousness or away from Consciousness. In fact, "you" can't even "turn" at all because your life is really only a melodramatic story that Consciousness has been telling to Itself. And your only choice is whether or not you want to believe in the validity of your story. As usual, the ego wants to proudly say, "That's my story, and I'm sticking to it." Actually, since you and your story arise simultaneously, your story is also sticking to you! Without the historical framework of your time-based story, though, "you" are really "no-thing." Actually, being "no-thing" might not be such a bad idea. You're forgetting that you've forgotten that you're just pretending to be separate from everything else.
The
Game of Life is played by:
Mind is only an artificial context...a cosmic stage upon which the ego-based actor struts and frets his stuff upon. And yes, it's the very same stuff that dreams are made of.
