THE REALIZATION THAT "I am not like other
people" usually comes during childhood, the most vulnerable
time in a person's life.
It
is born of comparison, the perceived differences which separate
a child from his parents, his siblings, and also from certain
children in the neighborhood or school yard. At the most basic
stages, we call this process individuation. And the
realization of separateness is so universal that children's
stories have been created to help ease the tension in a young
person's process - such as The
Ugly Duckling, which follows a young duckling through
a huge identity crisis that is only abated when he discovers
he's actually a swan, orphaned from his original flock. Other
stories, such as Beauty
and the Beast, or The
Hunchback of Notre Dame, explore the ideas of beauty
and ugliness, and the cruel ways these concepts are often addressed
in popular society.
Ultimately, the resolution of childhood 'heebie jeebies'
about personal appearance, emotional development, and/or physical
performance comes about when one's self image changes from "I
am not like other people" to "we are all unique, and
beautiful in our own way." Granted, the way society operates - including
the Medical Religion, with all its 'thou shalt nots'
and 'guidelines for normalcy' - it's a wonder ANY
of us emerge from youth without serious impairment to our sense
of self. Indeed, some people struggle for years, dealing with
early-childhood impressions of themselves. But none of that
matches the chaos going on in the minds and hearts of certain
ones who are among us these days - people who are playing 'host'
to energies and infusions of 'new knowledge' which
far exceed the differences which exists between ducks and swans.
Coloring Outside the Lines
Those who specialize in Child Psychology have a host of methods
they can use to peek inside the psyche of a tiny person who
is not yet able to verbalize what he or she is feeling. Play
therapy is one of those methods. Drawing and Painting is another.
One key indicator that a youngster is bound for 'personal
challenges' in the area of socialization would be his/her
tendency to color outside the lines when working with coloring
books and crayons. If the lines and forms are symbolic of the
masculine aspect of the personality (logic and reason), the
colors would be an indicator of the feminine aspect (emotion,
intuition) - how it operates in his life, and the effects it
tends to have.
The Veil of Forgetfulness is a semi-permeable, etheric membrane
which covers the consciousness of every being who enters the
World of Form. The Veil keeps us focused in one universe, working
on a single 'life itinerary' while infinite numbers of alternative
existences spin and unfold all around us. Those who are considered
to be 'sensitives' are those whose Veils are thin,
allowing access to more possibilities and tones coming from
outside the current 'reality box' that has been handed to us.
Some people actually contract to have holes poked through their
Veils - through traumatic injury, sudden remembrance, or usage
of certain drugs - creating an influx of Multiversal Energy
where universal energy once flowed.
If a 'universe' represents an entire spectrum of 'material'
essence that is being focused upon by one individual
(uni=one), the Multiverse
is a compilation of several possible/probable universes being
formed and operated by a number of individuals. In another analogy,
a universe is like the functioning of a single PC (perceptual
context), while the Multiverse is a whole network of PCs, bound
together by intention... and the Omniverse is so big we don't
even need to consider it here, except to know that it IS and
we are all part of it.
As our Meta-Humans begin awakening and making themselves known,
the first tones they produce just might sound somewhat dissonant
- because some of the key elements they carry within them represent
a divergence away from the 'norm' that everyone has been taught
to revere. A telltale sign this is happening would be 'knee-jerk'
reactions that come when these folks (usually young people,
but not always) open their mouths, or begin expressing their
views about what they'd like to see happening in the world.
When I do intuitive readings for people, I have developed what's
called "the ten second rule" for measuring their clear
receptivity around what I tell them. If I make an observation
about their lives, and they deny the validity of the reading
within the first ten seconds after they've heard it, I consider
that an instant validation we've hit "pay dirt" involving
something really important. Granted, continued interpretation
and adaptation of the insight may be needed - because we've
entered into a dark cavern of the soul, and things found in
caverns are often covered with dust. But it is their knee-jerk
reactivity, before an insight is given careful consideration,
which signals we have entered into important territory.
Even
so, the Meta-Humans who are now appearing among us, will naturally
produce instant, knee-jerk reactions in people with whom they
come in contact. Those initial reactions can be terrifying for
them, driving these Gifted Ones into silence, into hiding, or
other self-censuring behaviors. One of the best stories I've
found to illustrate this is a movie called Powder,
in which a young boy with special 'powers and gifts' is brought
face-to-face
with a society
that is definitely not ready to receive him. Another great story
in this regard is the movie Phenomenon,
starring John Travolta.
An Infection Or An Infusion?
We, in the Twentieth Century, like to think of ourselves as
'advanced.' But are we, really? Our toys cost more,
and there are many more of them - but have we really gone anywhere
in consciousness?
When I present this query, I am purposely omitting from consideration
advances in mystical awareness. As has been mentioned, the past
thirty years have been filled with breakthroughs of knowledge
in the realms of Spirit. And now our society is beginning to
bring forth beings we call 'Meta-Humans.' Will our
emotional and mental acuity be able match the influx of advanced
energies and life forms that is soon to come upon us?
If we compare our general society today with other periods of
history - like, for example, the Middle Ages - we see some
interesting parallels. Peeling back the years between then and
now, we enter the medieval period to see the Priests of the
"Old Religion" being very focused on a certain affliction,
being observed in their parishioners, called being 'filled
with a demon.'
So frightening was this condition, in the minds of the people,
that their ministers formulated certain criteria for telling
whether a person was 'possessed' or not - complete
with a list of practical 'tests.' These verbal examinations
were designed to break through the denial of a person who was
'afflicted,' and prove whether or not he or she was
'of the Devil.' Beginning small, with examinations
being conducted upon only a few, rare cases - this concern about
'demons' grew into the horror we now call "The
Inquisition."
It's not hard to figure out how people might be threatened by
'new' thought possibilities that are being set forth these days.
The New Paradigm Concepts of Universal
Oneness and Multidimensionality
can be incredibly challenging to a 'normal' 3D mind. Some consider
them to be a 'virus,' spreading ruthlessly through modern culture
at an alarming rate. Others view them as an elixir - a wonder
drug with power to solve all the world's ills.
Twentieth Century Inquisitors
We
referred earlier to the High-Priests of the Church of Health
Care as "Guardians of the Status Quo." We saw how
interested people are in making sure that they live within this
very important guideline called the 'norm.' When someone or
something appears within society, which carries an image or
implication that things are going to change - perhaps
in a radical way - it is probable that society will initially
resist that person or idea.
Down through the ages, that which threatens the 'familiar path'
has almost always been labeled evil. Humans don't often
like to change. It hurts us to build new habits, new patterns
of seeing and believing. The word "diagnose" represents a joining
together of two ideas. Dia which means "something
apart" or "other" and gnosis means "to
know" or to "identify." When a physician is running
through his various formats of examination, he is looking for
something. He's looking for an 'other' to identify.
After all, you came into his office and said: "something's
wrong!" Therefore, he is trying to find out what evil has
come upon you - so he can cast it out and help you become 'normal'
again.
Instead of Demons, our modern day physicians look for Infection
in the body by "Germs" (viruses and bacteria). They
look for "Disorders" in the body's systems or they
seek to identify "Neuroses" and/or "Psychoses"
in the mind. They look for something out of the ordinary, because
we tell them to look for it. After all, something's
happening with us which we don't understand, so we go to
a Doctor to find out what's happening. If we can get a clear
answer, everyone's happy. But if not, it just might mean that
we're evolving into something entirely new, something that hasn't
been categorized yet. In my series Dealing
With Spiritual Emergency, published in Children
of the New Earth last year, I deal at length with the
emergence aspect of the word "emergency."
And the most obvious correlation between the two would be the
imminent labor and delivery of a newborn child.
You can review the articles, it's all there in detail for your
convenience, including the Rosemary's Baby model of
the 1960s, the Exorcist model of the 1970s,
and who could forget that cute little Alien
who jumped out that guy's chest in the 1980s? Then
there were the Sci-Fi novels:
Aliens Among Us, Strangers Among Us, and how
about The
Village of the Damned? In the end, the whole business
inevitabily turns into a war, between the 'Neos' and 'Luke Skywalkers'
of some Rebel Alliance, and the 'Agent Smiths' and 'Darth Vader's'
of the existing Empire: Old Paradigm versus New.
In the final stages of a Medieval Inquisition, the 'penalty'
for not confessing to one's link with the Devil was death. It
was a sentence that was 'passed' upon an accused person,
spoken by a Priest who declared that he or she is 'beyond
redemption.' In modern times, you can be declared 'insane'
or 'severely disordered,' and a Priest of Modern Healthcare
can order you to be incarcerated and medicated, in some cases
against your will. Today's process is far less 'medieval,'
but certainly involves its own brand of heartbreak. The scope
of our beliefs and understandings about the paranormal is still
quite limited. In many cases, the only 'treatment'
for the emergence of Meta-Human Traits and Behaviors is to suppress
them through usage of drugs, or dismissal of the logic behind
the changes. And again, this is not the 'fault' of
the Religious or Medical Communities, per se. It's just the
usual way human society deals with change:
At Reconnections, we have a Team of individuals who work alongside
emerging Meta-Humans as they awaken and seek to find their place
in the world. We call it the Dream Team, because many of the
initial contacts we make have to happen in meditation or on
the dreamscape. That's how cloistered some of them are! When
I get a letter from a concerned parent, and determine within
my own spirit that it has relevance, I pass it onto the Team
for comment.
Usually,
there are common traits presented. The kid's a genius, has been
exercising certain 'powers and gifts' for many years (usually
psychic knowing or telepathy-type gifts), and now he (or she)
has sunken into a deep depression. He doesn't want to be here
anymore, but he loathes the idea of suicide. Though there are
young people who will write on their own behalf, many have completely
lost hope that there is someone who might be able to understand
what they're going through. This is why we introduce ourselves
to them in dreams.
Dream Healing is one of the foundation stones of an
ancient art known as alchemy. One of the host Guides
into the Reconnections
System
is
a mage who goes by the name "Belteshazzar." He was
one of the original Alchemists, and a frequent-user of Dream
Therapy to resolve conflicts in mind or body.
"Make it stop, Mother, make it stop!" These are the
words of little Regan Mac Neill in the 1970s classic The
Exorcist, as her tiny body is rocked and wracked by
what are believed to be demonic forces. What's a mother to do?
The same type of cry is being uttered, again and again, in doctor's
offices across the land. As we said in the first segment: What's
a good doctor to do? Meta-Humans are awakening, but only a few
of them are remembering who they are or why they came here.
All they know is: The lifestyles they seem to require, in order
to be at peace, are wreaking havoc in the lives of their families,
communities, and their school systems.
The avante-garde painter, Salvador
Dali, was once quoted as saying: "The basic difference
between me and an insane man is: I am not insane!" I love
this quote, because it perfectly expresses what I believe to
be a path of deliverance for many a Meta-Humans as they come
'online' these days. With his art, Dali found a medium of expression
to embody what he was seeing, and what lessons he was preparing
to bring to a transitioning world. And with his bravado and
innate self-confidence, he cleared a path of honest expression,
so societal resistance didn't block the clarity of his messages.
Next month, we'll talk about some specific cases of Meta-Humans
as they come online - the joys, the problems, and the adjustments
they must make if they are to survive in this world. In the
meantime, have a great January. That 1-1-1
Energy is fully in motion now, is it not? Enjoy the ride.
