HEAVEN
#2813 You Will Become Graceful
BEGIN TO STAY AWAY from the idea that something is
wrong. Even when your computer is down, have the idea that it is right.
At the very least, you are getting a break from your computer. Maybe
you and your computer both need a rest. Is that really so bad?
When your car breaks down, instead of thinking, "What is wrong?",
have the idea that it is a good thing your car broke down.
Odds are, it is a good thing. What has your car done? It has communicated
to you that it needs some attention, and now you will give it the
attention it asks for. How else can a car communicate with you? Would
you fault it for speaking in the only way it knows?
When you have even what is called a terrible accident, as best you
can, consider wherein treasure lies. You cannot know what even this
accident may have spared you from.
This is My attempt to help you change your thinking, or at least to
open you to the possibility of changing your thinking, having some
say over what you think.
Heretofore, you have automatic responses to equipment breaking down
and to any varying response from your body. Your body is also equipment.
Equipment can only speak in the language it is equipped with. Your
body has long been waiting for you to listen to it. Perhaps your car
and your body both have requested that you slow down, or perhaps it
could be the opposite, and they are requesting that you get a move
on.
In any case, whatever may break down, you do not have to think of
it as tragic.
In all cases, boundaries are slipping away. Attachments are slipping
away. Is that not a good thing? You don't want attachment to stick
its claws into you.
See if you can be free from attaching in the first place. If you did
not become acquainted with attachment, if you did not adopt it and
bring it into your life, you would not have to let go of it. Perhaps
from now on, you can be free of attachment in the first place.
Something wonderful happens when you are free from attachment. When
you are free, nothing has to be the way you think it has to be, and
so you bring great freedom into the world. It can snow in summer,
and you won't be horrified. You can be without electricity
and anxiety at the same time. You can simply light a candle as though
being without electricity were a fine thing. Instead of giving your
power away to the utilities, you will light a candle and enjoy its
flickering light. With or without this or that, you can enjoy life
as it is meant to be enjoyed.
When you have attachment, you are stubborn and you balk at the unexpected
that you did not invite. You stamp your foot, as it were, and say
that life is amiss. You resist the uninvited changes. You push against
them. You use your God-given energy to brace yourself in opposition.
Better to embrace, beloveds, do you not agree?
Adhere to the school of thought that says that everything can be the
way it wants. The sun can shine or it can rain, and you are fine with
it either way. How beautiful it will be when you do not object, complain,
fret, or mind at all. You will be as flexible as life itself. You
will meet life fully but not head-on. You will greet life as a friend
no matter what guise it appears in, and so you will accommodate this
good friend of yours. You will know that life does not have to accommodate
you. You will love life in all its array. You will not tell it how
it must dress. You will not order it around. You will become graceful.
You will no longer argue the unarguable. You will be easy-going. You
will become peace incarnate.

HEAVEN
#2836 Breathe
WHAT IS IS that There is not a moment wasted. All
the moments you think you waste are okay. They provide ballast for
you. They are spacers. They are called for. You cannot be going full-steam
every moment. You are entitled to some idle time. You are entitled
to time in between. You are entitled to breathe. Perhaps no one ever
told you that before. Breathe, My children, breathe.
When
you consider that, in the true arena of life, time does not exist,
how then can time be wasted? How can what is not and never was be
wasted? Is it not a fact in the world that energy can never be wasted?
Of course, both activity and rest can be overdone. The thing is to
let any complexes you have about time go by the wayside. Nonexistent
time is not urgent. Substitute joy for urgency. Joy matters. This
and that do not matter. Urgency is a poor substitute for joy. Of course,
it's possible you do take joy in urgency. Urgency is a good pusher,
that's for sure. Perhaps you favor the word "motivator"
instead. Perceived urgency does give you a good kick.
Beloveds, there is no door you have to break down. There is no mountain
you have to climb.
Maybe you are just wonderful right now. With all your perceived faults,
maybe you are. Maybe many of the things that you think matter don't
matter. Perhaps they don't matter at all. When you say they matter,
they matter. If you agree they don't matter, then what is the difference
if you meet a deadline or not? If you saw many things in another light,
if you took them for no more than pennies in your pocket, if they
were not prime, then you would be free of them. Naturally, you are
the decider of how free you are.
Of course, the world will impose upon you. It likes to make it so
you have no time to think or to question. The world would like to
confine you, for the world itself has been confined. At any moment
of perceived time, you are free to choose. I suppose you would say
you are free to argue. I would say not. I would say you are free to
simply choose at any moment. Do you see the difference?
You don't need to win an argument. You don't need permission to be
free. You are the source of your own freedom. What the outside world
gives to you is irrelevant next to what you give yourself. Be your
own Daddy, and say Yes to yourself. Pour the boon of freedom upon
you. Give yourself a generous allowance.
This freedom does not make you less responsible. It makes you more
responsible. It leaves you free to be responsible.
Even
if you are a prison inmate and every moment of your life is directed
by those outside you, you are still free to choose your life. If you
are one who is imprisoned, perhaps you say, "Sure, God, sure.
I'm free. Which minute is that?"
You are free, beloveds, to choose who you are. Prisoner is not who
you are. Guard or warden is not who someone else is either. You are
consciousness, beloveds. You can be an angry heart and soul restricted
to a building and a routine whether you are a prisoner or a guard.
You can also be restricted to a building and a routine and be good-hearted.
You can be of benefit or detriment as you choose. I know that sometimes
it feels like you have no choice, yet even in a traffic jam you have
choice. Wherever you are, you have choice. You can be who or what
you want to be regardless of circumstance. You can do it.
You may envy the people who can walk in a meadow any time they want,
and yet they are not necessarily more free than one confined to bed
or to a classroom. It is you who has to free yourself, beloveds. Do
it. You can do it. You can do it now.
