My life is so full and I am so blessed. I am the richest woman alive. Once I dreamed that I would win the lottery and, upon awakening, it came to mind that it is not just money that is a lottery. To have a full life is the greatest lottery there is. To know that you are making a difference in the world expands you in a way that cannot be described. And this is true wealth.

Many could not believe that I would work 13 hours a day for about two cents with occasional donations coming in to help with website and Internet costs. If you find a hobby, something you love, then you want to do it whether you generate an income from it or not. You awake each day with joy and want to share. No amount of money could inspire me as much as the people that respond to me as you just have.

A while ago I realized I needed a laptop computer to help with the work, because I couldn't go away for a weekend without coming home to 13 hours of e-mail to answer - so a laptop would make my life easier. Deep within me I knew that one would eventually come. Many thought I was nuts to have such faith - after all, who would just hand someone a laptop? Well it wasn't literally handed to me by its giver, it was instead delivered by Federal Express from an anonymous newsletter readers family! A family which has indeed blessed the world, as the work that will come through it will touch many hearts in many families around the world.

Here's what the note said that came with the computer:

Dear Mary Ellen "Angel Scribe", You are doing some very important work in the world and we are thrilled to be able to support you in this way. In the end it's God's little movie. He puts certain actors together to create His dream-drama and it's fun to play the parts (well, at least this part of it is fun). The trick is to not get caught up in it to the point that we forget who we are and what we are supposed to be doing. I wish it were all as easy as supporting your work. Remember your promise not to tell anyone who gave this gift to you. Truth is, God gave it to you anyway. God Bless You.

IS THERE A MR. ANGEL SCRIBE?

Well, like Monica on Touched by an Angel I can't cook. Mr. Angel Scribe works full time in the "real" world and then stops by the grocery store and buys all the groceries, too. His hobby is cooking, and he does it all. Told you I was blessed! This is one of the main reasons I can spend 13 hours a day doing the newsletters. He supports my "hobby" and he knows how to load up the computer.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MOVIE?

Pollyanna is my all time favorite movie. It may be one of the most spiritual shows of the century. It has kind and loving family morales in it. Haley Mills plays an orphan that comes to a town filled with powerful people, a damning minister, and much negativity and depression. Through her positive outlook she shows them another side of life. We all need to see more positivity in our lives - to look on the brighter side. The people of the world are ready for good news - and goodness knows there is plenty of it!

Oprah Winfrey is a modern day Pollyana, teaching as she did in the movie. They are both teachers of attitude and gratitude and this makes for a happier and more joy filled life. Oprah is doing more today to uplift, improve and to educate families into healing. I believe she is a true healer. Through the media she is showing people alternative ways to live a more positive life. She gives people tools to use to work on improving their families. America can only grow and heal if our families become loving again. I admire the work Oprah is doing and it is not surprising that she has an Angel Network. This is a direct hint about the energy she is working with.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SONG?

"Earth angel, Earth angel"...... someone sent me a link once with those words and I play it to pump me up when the e-mail gets too much. I also admire the music of Mike Rowland, Herb Ernst and Gary Jess. Their music truly touches the soul and opens the heart.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE FORM OF RELAXATION?

Holding a sleeping cat is one of the most peaceful moments I can imagine.Walking barefoot in the woods exhilarates the spirit and makes my heart sing - I rarely wear shoes. Having a barefoot woman on the cover of Expect Miracles is so appropriate. The publishers had never met me and didn't know that I go barefoot from March to October. So when the cover appeared it made me chuckle.

YOU SPEAK OFTEN OF YOUR DAUGHTER ARIEL AND HER SPECIAL TALENTS. WHAT DOES SHE WANT TO SHARE IN THIS WORLD AND HOW IS SHE USING THESE SPECIAL GIFTS NOW?

My 17 year old daughter was born with wisdom. She has gifts of prophecy, sees auras, and can see the energy of the animals and hears them, too.. She just ' knows' what herb, food or homeopathic medicine will help them if they are unwell. She was born 'remembering' and hasn't forgotten. I think all children are born remembering, but most forget by the time they go to school. As parents we can nourish their gentle spirit and it will grow rather than wither. Ariel is the kindest person I know. It is an honor to have a friend with Ariel's gifts, but to be her mother is a blessing. Ariel works well with children - she actually saved the lives of seven children as a life guard at the tender age of 15. She says the angels alert her when a child is in danger. She is an every day earth angel to everyone - gentleness and humor are just two of her gifts that she shares with so many.

There are very many children here today who share the gifts my child has and these children are going to make a loving difference to the world - they should be honored and respected for their wisdom. Whatever their age, a child's perspective can hold much truth and we should listen. Children are small people - or short adults. Many of the things you knew and loved as a small child are still within you today - we 'grown-ups' are just children in big bodies.

One of the books I had to read in school shaped my beliefs and I still find it good reading even now. 'The Chrysalides' by John Wyndham teaches us why the children born today have spiritual gifts. This is a little book with a powerful message. If you have a child with gifts, please gift them with this book and they can better understand who they are, too.

TELL US ABOUT THE ANGELSCRIBE PRAYER TEAM. YOUR STORIES ABOUT PRAYER ON THE WEB SITE ARE VERY EMPOWERING. HOW DID THIS TEAM COME ABOUT?

The team's name is the Angels and Miracles Prayer Team and that is exactly what they do. I have never read as many miracles in such a short time as their prayers have produced. I purposely don't mention them too often on the newsletter as many may find it difficult to believe how they work. They work in the world of miracles. There are over 150 members, from all around the world and from every belief. They e-mail messages and prayers, quietly pray in their homes, light candles and send loving prayers.

It is a wonderful thing to know that people are united in the LOVE of God and spirit and are volunteering to help others by sharing this love. This prayer team is truly a vehicle where God's energy is active.They sprang up as naturally as the newsletter did - it wasn't planned. Folks kept asking me to pray for them - I guess they thought I had a direct link to God and the angels as miracles continually happen to me? At the time we had many ministers on-line, so I asked them if they would like to pray for the requesters. They said yes and a small team developed. Then the most amazing thing happened. As people were prayed for, they saw and felt the love from the team and would then ask to become a part of this loving group, to volunteer their time praying and helping others.

One day a woman wrote to me and said that when she received the newsletters they made her skin feel too tight to hold in her spirit....and I just suddenly thought 'this woman is such a kind and gentle spirit, she would be perfect as our prayer team leader'. So I asked her and she said 'Yes'. All the prayer team members love and respect Judy, and I appreciate all the work she is doing. One of our recent miracles actually involved Judy and the team. Judy had been in hospital for an extended stay and I had taken over her e-mail - it was overwhelming! She gets nearly as much as I do. So, I asked Judy's husband to please ask Judy who she trusted to do a good job of looking after the prayer team while she was in hospital, because I really needed some help to honor the huge list of volunteers.

Then, when I was finishing up the e-mail late on a Friday night, I suddenly decided to phone someone from the mailing list - something I rarely do! As I chatted to Cynthia it came to me very strongly and spontaneously to ask her if she would like to look after the prayer team while Judy was resting. She said 'Yes' just as spontaneously. Now here is the Divine Connection, because Cynthia was truly appointed by Divine order. Angels must have been whispering. I called Judy the next morning to let her know she could rest and heal without worrying because I had found the perfect person in her absence. Judy nearly leaped through the phone. Excitedly she told me how she had been lying in bed late Friday evening thinking who she could suggest to take over her e-mail duties and Cynthia had sprung to her mind. What a miracle! For us to both think of the same person out of the 50,000+ readers on the mailing list!

WHAT FUTURE PROJECTS ARE YOU CURRENTLY WEAVING?

The first answer to this question may startle you: I do not plan anything. I let God/Spirit know that I am available to be a vehicle in other's lives, then the projects and people just miraculously appear. Our lives can be so guided if we just 'let go' and 'let God'. Sharing the book Expect Miracles with the world is my current focus. This book has the power to educate people in their homes about miracles. It is 180 pages of everyday miracle stories. Many already read the miracles on the Internet, but the book will allow people without computers to be exposed to some 'good' 'God' News. This book is intended to bring hope and inspire others. It's magic is that it will heal hearts and let people know God/Spirit is still active in our lives today.

I do not know much about promoting a book - I trust the Angels are my agents in this project. I told God that if he/she would present opportunities to me, then I would promise to show up and do my part and try to not be scared ( Ha! ha!). Then one day while at the computer answering e-mail I suddenly had this strong powerful knowing that I would be on radio and TV with the book. It really overpowered me into a huge case of tummy butterflies. I walked into the kitchen, looked out the window and told God how scary that was for me. But, I promised that if he/she presented opportunities to share, inspire, uplift and teach about angels and miracles then I would show up, do my best, and smile.

I walked back to the computer feeling calmer and the next e-mail was from a woman called Jill Lawrence - I had no idea who she was. Jill went on to say she was coming to Seattle to do a two hour radio show , her guest had just canceled and would I be so kind as to take her place LIVE at the National Broadcasters convention?! What immediately came to mind was how God has a sense of humor. Just be careful what you pray for...

WORKING WITH DIVINE LOVE USUALLY CLEANSES OURSELVES AS WELL AS OTHERS. WHAT ARE SOME OF THE CHANGES YOU HAVE UNDERGONE PERSONALLY IN YOUR LIFE BECAUSE OF THIS WORK? (I.E., DID YOU FIND YOU NEEDED TO CHANGE YOUR DIET TO HANDLE A HIGHER VIBRATION, ETC).

Life is a day by day evolvement. One day I was a meat eater and the next I was 100% vegetarian. Dreams can play an important part in our lives and we can learn much by paying attention to them. The dream I refer to here is one I call the Turtle Dream. In the dream someone handed me a sandwich with a turtle in it, shell and all, and said:"Here eat this!" I replied that I was not hungry but they said I should go ahead and eat it anyway. I rotated the sandwich and bit off one leg that was protruding from the bread. Not bad, but my stomach did not feel at ease. They then enticed me to eat another back leg, then the tail. By now I was really not feeling too happy about the sandwich. When I rotated it to the front and looked at the dead face of the turtle, its eyes suddenly opened and it looked right into my soul and said: "I am also soul - why do you eat me?" The next day I woke up a vegetarian. I cannot eat anything with eyes. If it can look into my soul, then we can look into its soul and eating another life with intelligence no longer suits me.

Our life paths are all different. I have no idea why the dream came, but listening to its message made deep inner sense to me. Last month in a dream the angels told me to do eight sit ups a day. Rather an odd dream I thought. However, I tried it when I climbed out of bed. You know what the funny thing was? I could do eight, but no more - at nine my back burned and my stomach ached. So, I did eight sit ups a day for two weeks. Then, I layed there and rested for about 30 seconds and found I could do eight more. Now, nonstop, I manage up to sixteen sit ups a day, then wait a few seconds and do some more. The angels had my best interest at heart, because I have no more back aches and my posture has improved.

WHO ARE YOUR MENTORS?

Shirley MacLaine is one of my mentors, she taught us that it was okay and natural to explore our spirituality. When she went 'out on a limb', risking her career to teach us, my heart was so grateful. She taught many of us that we were not nuts, that we are spiritual beings. For that Shirley MacLaine holds a gold star in my heart. Marianne Williamson is another mentor. She is an intelligent, powerful speaker and a great teacher of the human spirit and spirituality. Marianne teaches common sense in a thought provoking and humorous way, exploding myths and replacing them with heartfelt truths. She is a gift to the world. And then there is Dr. Doreen Virtue- a person who has compromised her complete college training and profession to teach her truth. She does it so well, teaching people to open their hearts to angels.

I would like everyone to know that I am just like you. As you search for your spiritual roots, I too have searched. As your heart yearns to connect to God/Spirit and your angels, so too does my heart.You all have talents and gifts that are uniquely yours. When you stand up and share these from your heart to uplift, touch and change the world for the better, you and I are alike. You do not have to be anyone other than yourself. The people in your world need you. If everyone lived their lives to the best of their abilities and in the kindest way possible, soon we would touch every single person in the world. We cannot all be like Oprah and reach millions daily, but we can all touch at least one person daily, and as they in turn touch others, we soon reach the million mark in our own gentle ways.
