That is an interesting question. When I was in grade three walking home from school, I knew that one day I would walk down the streets and folks I did not know would know me. It is hard to describe how I knew this, but it was so clear. The mystery over the years was held in wondering how it would unfold.

The success that the Angels and Miracles Good-Newsletter has had around the world has taken me by as much surprise as everyone else. And my book, Expect Miracles,is a progression of the work of inspiring and uplifting hearts.

In grade three, my Grandmother, Anne Woods, came for a visit. It was shortly after her visit that I had this knowing. I remember my grandmother saying to me, "I wonder if you are the grandchild who will be the author?" My grandmother died twenty years ago and her question has remained with me.

My grandmother only had three grandchildren, and the responsibility of being "famous" scared me so much that in grade three I quit writing; "inventing stories" as I called it back then. But as life evolves this becomes such an important lesson for all of us. None of us are prepared instantly for our life's purpose. All must work one day at a time as our purpose is revealed gently to us. Much as a child in grade three is not equipped to write and publish a book, for many of us our path evolves over a lifetime, so we may recognize our true purpose one day at a time.

When you look back over your life you see that everyone, every moment, every experience, every single thing you went through created you and readied you for your purpose. Nothing is by chance. All moments are the steps on the ladder that elevate us to where we are going. And it is not the arriving at the top, but the steps of the journey that hold the pages to our story of life.

What have you learned from childhood that helps you be the messenger you are today?

The book The Celestine Prophesy, by James Redfield reveals this to many of us. In the book, we are shown that each parent is part of who we are. It is suggested we look at our best traits and see how these traits are extensions of what we learned from our parents. I learned: to be a hard worker from my father; kindness from my mother; and from my grandmother, I learned that one person with a grade 8 education can affect the lives of others for good.

My grandmother died at age 74 as an editor of a newspaper for 50,000 seniors in British Columbia. Her actions and commitment to helping others changed legislation to make life more pleasant for the elderly. My grandmother demonstrated through her life that you take a matter to heart and you hold it there until you bring about the results you feel are right and good for everyone. She was my hero and respected by thousands for her dedication.

The other thing that motivates and pulls me daily goes back to age 4-5. My mother had tuberculosis. I was put into two foster homes when my mother had to enter a sanitorium. To reach her would take a one-hour ferry trip and a two-hour drive.

I remember as a tiny child in the foster home thinking, "I want to talk to my mother." Every time the phone rang at the foster home, I ran to the phone and begged to know who it was. I yearned to communicate to loved ones long distance. My mother only called three times that I can remember in a year. We were not allowed to visit her, as children were not welcome at the TB sanitarium.

This time to myself made me think. Other kids were playing and I would be thinking. I knew life was not the same for everyone. At this very early age I started to watch others as a way to understand life. This experience planted the seed in my soul to communicate LOVE long distance to anyone who would listen. It is plain to see how a childhood experience can become an asset when you direct the energies for the betterment of all.

One of my relatives is Lucy Maud Montgomery, author of the Anne of Green Gables books. With Lucy and my grandmotherin my gene pool, I may have been destined to write. In the first of the series of books, Anne was told by her teacher that to be a really great writer she must write about what she knew. It would not be her "invented" stories of creativity, but writing about what she knew that would make her stand out on her own.

In my twenties I read Acres of Diamonds, by Russell Conwell. It said that if we could discover what gift we had that we could share with others, we would be a success. Then I read a book that said, "do what you love to do and the money will follow." I translated money to mean "success," for success comes in many forms. I just had no idea what I was meant to do.

I knew that we are all unique and special in the eyes of God. I knew I had a gift to share. Discovering it was the trick. It is the same for all of us. To maintain who we are, who our spirit is, and share this with others is what will make our life a joy and bring joy to others. It is not about conforming and jumping through other's hoops but designing a path of comfort and uniqueness to create who we truly are.

I often think of the musicians, Bach and Yanni. Wonderfully creative musicians. Imagine if they spent their life playing other people's music. What would our lives have been like if they had not stepped out and shown the world who they were in their hearts? Their creative genius came about by being who they were, not who someone else wanted them to be.

So many are becoming open to being divine messengers of late; seeking to push through those barriers of insecurity that keep us from giving from the heart. Have you ever felt nervous about sharing your work, and if so, how did you work through this?

In my early forties I felt that I was hiding who I truly was. We had many fundamentalist Christian neighbors, and I always left their presence feeling defensive and on a wrong track of religion.

I knew that the love in my heart was pure. I knew that I was kind to animals and people and that this was the same foundation Jesus had in his life. At this point, I decided to come out of the metaphysical closet. I bought a HUGE crystal pendant that looks like an Angel in a long gown with her hand extended in love. I felt that this was my "sign" to other people of the same belief.

I also decided to come straight out and talk about my spiritual beliefs and not sit quietly. It was time to share my "peace." If I did not start now, when would I? It was time to live my life my way and not in fear of the fundamentalist attacks.

I noticed that many of these folks were not happy. They seemed angry and controlling and shaming and filled with guilt. By contrast my heart was full. I felt deep inner peace and Divine contentment. By becoming myself the most amazing thing happened. I knew right away who was a kind person, and who was open to spirituality. The folks that were closed-minded looked shocked, and I knew that any kind of a close friendship with us wearing masks could now be avoided.

Coming out of the closet, sharing our beliefs of kindness, angels and miracles has a powerful and positive effect not only on us, but on others as well. Your energy feels lighter and you are happier. You also attract like minded/hearted folks into your life.

Please open your heart and become all that you are meant to be. You truly do not want to look back on your life "wishing" you had the courage to come out of the closet into THE LIGHT.

In a recent newsletter you mentioned the 'Ladies of the Light' with whom you have been speaking for years. Those words alone brought such tones of love to my ears, and images of divine angels. What can you tell us about them?

The Ladies of the Light are a group of Angels that I cannot see. When I put on the music 'The Fairy Ring' by Mike Rowland and sit quietly, I "hear" them in my heart.

I was not too surprised to discover this talent. I was tickled with excitement but not altogether surprised. Their presence explained why whatever transpired in my life worked out in a positive way. It was like an invisible force was saving me from myself and my decision. I truly believe they are the reason that I never took drugs. They were protecting me with such love that the opportunities that could have placed me in the presence of hash, marijuana, black tar.... all resolved and I was miraculously saved from walking down that lonely road.

Have you ever heard Angels singing to you in your dreams? Have you ever flown with Angels in your dreams? That is how this chorus of Angels first presented itself to me. The Ladies of the LIGHT spoke words of wisdom. I wrote down what they placed in my heart, and the result is a gift of their love to the world.

Tell us about your self-published book, Words of Wisdom, from The Light.

This booklet is a compilation of "Angel Writings." When I pick up a pen in the morning, I "hear" vibrationally a gentle loving voice in my heart center. When I put pen to paper, the messages that are scribed are inspirational and uplifting. This is how the name Angel Scribe came into existence when the Internet entered our home.

I would keep printed copies of the Angel's writings in my purse and hand These out to anyone I met during the day. The writings had an amazing power to uplift person after person, no matter what their belief. Currently, the growing number of writings amounts to over 700. Words of Wisdom, from the Light contains a sample of 30 of these inspirational messages.

The booklet was created as a means to uplift people. My friend, Atira, one of the Angel readers for The Messengers and In God's Truth books said that we could not wait for a publisher. Atira said the Angels' messages need to be in the hands and hearts of people now. She said the healing words of the Angels could do so much. With Atira's help and enthusiasm we self-published the book.

The book is a gift from the Angels' hearts to ours. Its message is that we are lovable, we are unique, we are a gift and to appreciate the gift of life. Words of Wisdom, from the Light is a gift to us to give us permission to hear and to talk and to listen to the angels around us.

The writings are written in a poetic nature that resonate in your heart when you read them. People write and say they cry and feel LOVED when they read the gentle words in the booklet. The books sell out in health stores.

How did The Good Newsletter come into manifestation?

When the Internet came into our home, I began to share the Angel writings electronically. Many people cautioned me and said, "How can you expect to sell a book if you are giving it all away for free?"

But, I knew deep, deep within myself that when an Angel givesus a message it is not up to us to sit on it. These messages were not to be hoarded and controlled...they needed their wings. People today needed the messages, and I was not about to be controlled by the popular vision of making money and not sharing in my Pollyanna ways.

A few friends I met in chat rooms became the first members of the "mailing List," which continued to grow at a rapid pace. The first year it was over 1,000 with no website and no advertising. It was growing with the computer phenomonon of email, friend to friend, around the world.

After a year, folks started to write me and ask to be 'put onto the newsletter.' I had no idea what they were talking about! I did not have a newsletter just "sharings of inspiration." Never in my wildest dreams had the idea of an electronic newsletter developed. Then, all of a sudden it was clear. My Grandmother was obviously helping from the other side. Her editor skills and her desire to uplift and improve lives of others made us a great team.

That is when the online newsletter became a reality and it needed a name. The newsletter consisted only of Good News, so it became the Angels and Miracles Good Newsletter, as all the stories, in one way or another, were related to angels and miracles. It is now read in over 39 countries by a low estimate of 50,000 folks of all beliefs.

Tell us about your latest book, Expect Miracles.

Do you believe in miracles? Did you know that the more you believe in miracles the more they happen to you? Did you know that small miracles happen to all of us each day? And did you know that if you ask to be a Divine Vehicle in others' lives more and more miracles will come to you? I have the heart of "Pollyanna." I truly believe the answer to these questions is "YES." Miracles happen to me all the time, and by sharing the miracles others learn that miracles can happen to them.

When I would share my latest miracle, the newsletter readers would email back with their miracles. Amazing miracles. And it became clear that the more miracles we shared, the more people realized they, too, had miracles happening to them.

The readers began to "see" and understand the miracles in their life. The miracles poured in. The more we shared, the more they shared. Some days it was baffling to wonder why the media spent so much time on negative news. It was evident that the world holds more positive news than negative news.

A reader who volunteers for the Random Acts of Kindness network with Conari Press contacted them and let them know about the newsletter. At this time, I had been sending newsletters a minimum of three times a week for two years, sharing the huge volume of miracles.

Unbeknown to me, Brenda of Conari Press had subscribed to the newsletter. When their spring collection of books was due, they had an unexpected opening and asked me to put together a collection of miracle true stories. Within six weeks, all of the release forms were in, the newsletter readers were enthusiastic, and the book was created. Conari chose the book's title and cover. Unbeknown to them, my licence plate has a frame around it that reads Angel Scribe on the top and EXPECT MIRACLES... on the bottom, which was the name they chose for the book.

I believe this book will be a great and gentle teacher. The miracle stories in the book are not like a woman on a boat in the middle of the Atlantic ocean with 50 ft waves, and her being washed into the ocean as the rescue helicopter gets within 10 feet of her. Most of us will not be in that situation. The stories in my book are ones that each of us could encounter. They open your heart and mind and make you want to be a part of the magic of miracles, and they teach you to recognize the miracles in your own life.

This book spans all beliefs. I believe that it has wings of its own and will be a best seller in bookstores, airports, churches and hospital gift shops, and will appeal to people of all ages.

What words of inspiration and experience do you have to share with new authors about the process of writing a book and getting it published?

My book is the result of a miracle compounding on itself. Not many folks have a publisher contact them. Remember my Grandmother and the power she taught? When you know something is good, when you know you can do something, when you know it is your life's path, hold it in your heart, focus on it, do what ever you need to do to make it a reality, and never ever give up.

Money was not my focus. If it had been the newsletter would not have continued. Sharing and inspiring were and still remain my focus. People said, "if you give it all away it will block your success." In fact, just the opposite happened.

Be unique in your gift... as you are unique in your self. Do what your heart tells you to do. The Chicken Soup for the Soul authors followed their own rules, and not the "normal" rules, to bring their books to the market place. Be creative and believe in yourself.

Do not listen to folks who say, "You can't do it that way." Remember, Bach and Yanni did it their own way, and you will too. Know that all rules are changeable, and create your own path, your own story. Believe in yourself and your message. If you don't, no one else will. Think positive, know that each rejection is one step closer to publication... see a rejection note as a glass of water... and know that you are getting closer to your dream with each one.

How do you handle the challenges of being a divine messenger in these times of flux and change?

We are all Divine Messengers. We do not have to be on stage or TV to be a Messenger of God/Spirit. God works through our hearts and hands to others. If you ask to be a vehicle for Divine Love to work through you... get ready.... because it will.

You will meet people in store lineups, at bus stops, at gas stations, and in one way or another pay attention. They will start to ask a question you have an answer or solution to. You will begin to hear them say, "I was just praying for an answer to that!" "I was just asking for God's help." "You are an angel." Soon it will become commonplace. When you hear people respond to you in this manner, smile and know that you are truly an earth angel working with Divine energy. It is a blessing and enriches your life.

Remember that people have prayed for help and assistance and God may have sent you that day to be the vehicle for their answer.

I received one of your pink Earth Angel cards. I tell you, at that specific moment I had been working through one of the most difficult relationship challenges I have ever encountered. Then I opened the mail, and was literally flooded with love. My heart was on fire. At that moment, I felt your Highest Self, and the power of your love. I felt the many angels that work with you smiling upon me, too, amplifying more love. I shall never forget that moment. Do you have any idea how your messages affect others?

Oh, your words touch my heart deeply. Thank you for opening your heart to receive the energy. Your question can be best answered by mentioning that a person who rushes in and saves lives does not feel like a hero. The "hero" is just doing what they are presented with in life.

I love what I am doing. Imagine a dream job where you can stay at home, be with your favorite music, your cat resting peacefully beside you, the bunny chewing the carrot on the floor at your feet, touching other people in some way, and avoiding all rush hour traffic. This is my dream job.

I know the messages are reaching and touching and changing lives. 400 emails pour in each day, and I was the only one doing the newsletter for 2 years. It is a work of LOVE. I still answer all of the email myself.

Several suicidal people have seen their lives differently by reading the positive stories, and they have written to thank me. The stories in the newsletter inspire, uplift and teach at the same time. They teach that there are good and kind people in the world. And the stories teach people to open their hearts a little wider and embrace others with kindness.

We have wonderful volunteers who translate the newsletter into 8 languages. A volunteer webmaster and a mailing list expert are proofreaders for the newsletters, as I am dyslexic. Dr. Bob can be reached at any time. He is a retired college psychologist who is there when I need help with an email. He has taught me much about human nature. We have a New York Policewoman who will answer questions when we get a suicide letter. Whenever the newsletter has a need, a volunteer steps forward with the skills and a ready heart.
