Making Love
(In the Spiritual Sense
)
B Y   J I M   Y O U N G

MAKING LOVE...

...is flashing the twinkle in my eye
when I see the humor
in Life's offerings
as the Truth
it many times is.

MAKING LOVE...

...is viewing Life
from the seat of wisdom
flowing as the Truth
intuition most naturally is.

MAKING LOVE...

...is practicing yoga
as an exercise of mind and spirit
leading to the power of Truth
and the flexibility
of Truth's expression.

MAKING LOVE...

...is finding myself
in the mind of death
focusing on the dark dank house
from which I'll then
be seeing Life
suddenly awaking
to the Truth
that instead
my ashes will be gilded in God
as manna for re-generations.

MAKING LOVE...

...is practicing the wisdom
of solitude
letting matter chatter and endless claptrap
lay fallow in the fields
of self-indulgence
favoring in transformation
the simplicity
of the here and now:
the Truth only silence speaks.

MAKING LOVE...

...is realizing intuition
is the divine feminine within
releasing me from the perceived need
of having to define my inner Truth
through the feminine without.

MAKING LOVE...

...is looking in Life's mirror
seeing that I'm looking like
a walking unmade bed
with nothing
but layers of lumps
on a field of wrinkles
and understanding that's not
my real identity.

MAKING LOVE...

...is allowing myself to feel the fullness
of separation's paradox:
sitting naked on a desert cactus
with a bowl of chocolate truffles in my lap
knowing instinctively
that on the other side of excruciating pain
lies absolute ecstasy.

MAKING LOVE...

...is never having to say
I make love all day
and just Being it.
