Celebrating The Magic of the Christmas Star

If you've listened to Christmas music, or heard all the talking about the rebirth of Light 2000 years ago, I'm sure that you've heard of the Christmas Star, and the Magi who, being aware of the Astrological event about to take place, came to honor this event.

Yes, there were shepherds in their fields who were very aware of astronomical events, and of course, the ever present Angels and other spirits that surround us daily, but with human awareness being raised by the Light, they were written about at that time.

These are but some of the ingredients for a magical mix of myth and mysticism that have been handed down to today's Christendom and the United States. So at this time, we find it difficult to distinguish between the historical event which has been embellished to create more magic, wonder, and awe - than what actually happened in those days. But even those peoples had multiple realities, some believing this babe to be a King, some believing that the grown man was a great Master Teacher, and many in fear that their own kingdom would topple if his teaching of Love and Everlasting Life should ever take hold.

I recently had the pleasure of reading one man's first-hand account of some of these events. This man was a teacher in the Essene community we know as Qumran, today. As he described the star, he said that it came together out of the four corners of the earth into the sky, being as bright as a full moon and shined like a beam onto Bethlehem.

Is this all magic, or imagination run wild? Well, there was indeed a major conjunction of planets in 7 BC (today's Accounting), and I just heard from a scientist a few days ago that ice crystals in the air can form many different effects in a clear sky, including beams of light. Of course, there are other theories that some of these lights and beams were angelic light, or that they could have been from one or more space ships.

This Essene teacher claimed that, as the four lights came together, three of the four Master Teachers from India, China, and England also came together to honor this new Master Teacher who was a Living Example to humankind of what is possible. Of course, this event also represented the coming together of ideas, cultures, and peoples, uniting in life, learning, light, and love. My feeling is that the fourth ''Wise Man'' was from the unseen energies. Thus Jesus went to study in these other three cultures and also studied some of the unseen energies as taught in ancient Egypt. As this Essene teacher, who taught both Yeshua Ben Joseph and Jochannan Ben Zackariah, said ''We did not teach them so much as we inspired them to pull the knowledge and wisdom from within their own selves''.

Now, WHY did these two cousins, biblical characters, and Master Teachers come to Earth? Was it to save us from our sins? To be King of the Jews, as many have said? Or to establish a New World order? These were two very different individuals, who might be likened to being like a lion (John) and a lamb (Jesus), both living and exemplifying different aspects of the One God. Why? To show us what is possible, so that we might begin to discover more of our own Magic and Majesty, and shine our light like that star from above.

Yes, these events have come about to inspire your imagination, your God- given Imagination, to inspire the magic that lies dormant in you. The magic of crystal and crystal skulls is the magic of you transformed and translated outside of what you believe to be yourself, to reflect back so that you can see this in physical reality. The result is that we are often our own best teachers - as Jesus and John were their best teachers, helped by the world around them.

And what did Jesus say about his ''Miracles''? ''You can do all these things and more, for I shall depart this earth and go elsewhere in heaven. But, you are here.'' For, as these exemplary characters showed us, we are knowledgeable, we are healers, we are Magi, as they were, and we are the light of the world, today. For we are a spark of God-Goddess (not the whole enchilada, but a particle of God-Goddess). We are spirits manifesting in the physical, even as Jesus and John and many before and after them were. Yes, Jesus came from spirit, from God, into the physical, but so did John the Baptist, the Apostle Paul and so did you and I. We are all sons and daughters of God-Goddess, just like all the Master Teachers have been.

And so, at this season of celebrations, know that you are a Creator and your own best teacher and Guru. Then, when you wish upon a star, this very season, know that your very soul reaches beyond earthly limitation. And so you need no longer be alone and downcast.

All-That-IS intended us to be celebrating ... not just to be celibate, but
to be celebrating!

A celebration of you is a celebration of miracles; for all birth, not just Jesus's, is a miracle. So let this season be your ceremony to live life, to celebrate love and not be dead, but alive, alive! Thus, you will be found to be seeking beyond your conscious self, beyond your knowledge and beliefs, reaching for that shining star. Then may your wishes come anew and come alive as Mary's wish did thousands of years ago.

And so, as you wish upon a star, become open to possibility, opportunity and even surprise. And as we respond to the feelings and the pictures that come through our beings, believing in them and practicing them, the results will be miraculous. When you wish upon a star the gates of heaven will be ajar, for now you are the star. Heaven is around you and in you, not only above you. In this Grand Dream, the world cannot help but open to you, as you ask of your guardian angels, spiritual helpers and guides, and allow them to be your living star until you can find your own light within.

As you find that light, live it, love it and celebrate it, then YOU WILL BECOME THE CHRISTMAS STAR - ALL YEAR, EVERY YEAR! And Life will truly be a miraculous event to celebrate all year long. God Bless you, each and every one ... This Holiday Season, this New Millennnium, and always!
