(Prelude to Fragments of Truth, by Judith Arianne) EDITOR'S NOTE: On May 9, 2001, more than 20 military, government and corporate witnesses to unambiguous UFO and extraterrestrial events stated their testimony before millions at one of the largest and most successful press conferences in the recent history of the National Press Club. This kickoff event for the Campaign for Disclosure was spearheaded by Dr. Steven M. Greer, M.D. For readers who are unfamiliar with the Disclosure Project we are re-printing below a brief excerpt from a document released by Dr. Greer on 5th April, 2001 as a short introduction to the article that follows. [For more in-depth information, you can access the Disclosure Project website by clicking on the link above.] Everyone has their own opinion about ETs and the issues raised by Dr. Greer. As a follow up to her article, Scattered Links, published in last month's issue, we invited regular contributor, Judith Arianne, to offer her own personal perspective on the issues raised by the Disclosure Project. If you would like to continue this debate, please feel free to contact us with your own personal stories, opinions, letters and articles for consideration for publication in a later edition of PlanetLightworker.com. Steven M. Greer, M.D. Disclosure: Implications for the Environment, World Peace, World Poverty and the Human Future A Brief Summary Copyright Steven M. Greer, M.D. - March 2001 For most people, the question of whether or not we are alone in the universe is a mere philosophical musing - something of academic interest but of no practical importance. Even evidence that we are currently being visited by non-human advanced life forms seems to many to be an irrelevancy in a world of global warming, crushing poverty and the threat of war. In the face of real challenges to the long-term human future, the question of UFOs, extraterrestrials and secret government projects is a mere sideshow, right? Wrong - catastrophically wrong. The evidence and testimony presented in the following pages establishes the following:
Those who doubt these assertions should carefully read the testimony of dozens of military and government witnesses whose testimony clearly establishes these facts. Given the vast and profound implications of these statements, whether one accepts or seriously doubts these assertions, all must demand that Congressional hearings be convened to get to the truth of this matter. For nothing less that the human future hangs in the balance. Fragments of Truth By Judith Arianne I am not a scientist, though there are members of my family who are. They are more informed than I am on the subject of what could be out there. But as far as I am concerned, it is WE who are out there. After all, we want to go to other worlds and explore, so why should there not be other galaxies exploring us?
NASA sends humans into space to see if anyone else is about. If the astronauts happen to spot something that does not look or act like us, or what we seem to know, then it is all hushed up. Why the big secret? Why do all the mouths that have witnessed a UFO or anything else like it have to be forced shut? Do they think it is some plague that will kill us all? We can do that to ourselves without any outside influence. And why all the sudden urgency to get the government to come clean? They don't have to. This has been going on for more than fifty years (how about a thousand?) years. There are so many pieces of the puzzle just lying around, waiting to be discovered. Wall and cave drawings, etchings on large pieces of land, and, of course, all the landings, crashes, and capturings of little gray people. Did anyone ever stop to think that if we are to be made privy to all that other dimensions know, then they would be the first to inform us? No government could stop a few alien ships from landing here. No government without the technology the visitors seem to have could stop them from doing anything if they really wanted to be a part of who we are. Besides which, who says that beings from other places are not here already? Do we know for sure? Why all the drama about these beings hurting us? So far, no one has been hurt. Why bother with the government and what they don't want us to know, when we already know it? I feel that concealing information from us is a great excuse for the government to demonstrate the power they have. What better way to fire up the public by denying access to records we think we need to see? It is all about facts, and truth. We already know the truth. The government is not going to settle for truth, especially about UFO's. From my perspetive, there are so many projects we could get fired up about other than the UFO phenomena. I can see why Dr. Greer wants us to forge ahead. After all, why should the public only have access to a few bits and pieces of information about what seems to be a worldwide phenomenon? There have been many others who have gone out on a limb to find the truth. While I feel that whoever is really interested in finding out facts from the government should do what feels right, until I actually shake hands across the dinner table with a gray, or some other intelligent being from another world, I am not really interested in what the government does with their secrets. We know as much, or maybe even more, than the government does. Not everyone runs to the government each time they have a sighting, or when someone they know is abducted, or when some child tells of the little people they laughed and played with.
We can send our love to whoever is out there, but that does not mean they will accept it; they may have had a rotten day. Maybe their egos are out of whack. Maybe they are just like us, trying to discover who they really are. Maybe they are not gray at all; maybe that is just how we see them... Of course, it is up to each individual to decide if he or she wants to pursue the government for answers, but personally, I tend not to jump on all bandwagons, because some of them have only three wheels. It may take another thousand years before any other intelligence wants to live in or visit our solar system. Love or no love, we are not their judges, nor are they ours.
I have had close encounters, so have millions. And sure, I have questions, but if they are not answered here, I am certain that, because of my belief system, I will someday have all the answers. I became testy at the fact that I felt the government had no right to keep from us something that could change how we live. I say again though, if we are meant to have this technology that many people feel the government possesses, then I am willing to wait until the super intelligent race that has it chooses to share it with us. If we are supposed to have it, no government will ever be capable of keeping it from us. Think about it. Of course, maybe the alien nations need "money," and maybe the government is willing to pay them a huge sum to keep quiet about something that is wonderful and will help humanity...NOT! The government told us we went to the moon! Now, there are people disputing that. So, who really knows? Only those who have had up close and personal contact with something that is unknown to us for the moment. No astronaut is ever going to say that all he did was make a movie. No one with any power, reputation, or name, no figurehead, government, or military personnel will ever (unless they do so on their deathbed) let go of secrets that may cause harm or embarrassment to themselves or their family, or cause them to lose their job. The government has no one to be afraid of. They get to do what they want. Yes, everyone wants answers about aliens, but it also would be nice to know who really killed Kennedy, if tobacco really is bad for you, and what happened to all of the real people who disappeared because of anything having to do with sightings and military secrets? And what about our oil utility problems? Let's have answers about those. Have you heard any? So I say, if you think the government is going to give you answers, then get in line. I would rather take it as it comes and learn from the experience. I do not need the government to tell me what I can and can not see, or what I can believe in. Even if the public succeeds in getting answers, they are only answers. Do not think for one moment that the government is going to hand over new technology for nothing, if indeed they have it at all. So every ten or so years someone wants to know what the government doesn't want him or her to know. We have that right to pursue the truth. It is out there. For me, I can only say that I have enjoyed knowing that in some spiritual way I have a connection that no one can ever take away from me. I have the privilege to make choices and pursue happiness, and that is what I am doing. Even if the government were to release all the information they possess, they would just be validating what we already know. What we want in this life IS validation. Validation means someone is paying attention to what we say and think. It calms the senses, and makes us feel justified in believing what we believed all along. I cannot say what another species is thinking or doing, but I can say that, from all accounts, they too are speculating about us. I feel that when they think we are ready for what technology they have, they will see to it that we get it. I do not think they are likely to come here if we are shooting them down and giving them a bad rap. No, I tend to think that they look at us as a sometimes-loving nation, with another part of us that is ready to push the nuclear panic button and wipe out humanity. I think they should take all the time they want to consider us brothers. It is the way of life here, the belief system, the human element, and the choices that we make that contribute to not knowing the whole truth. Will we ever know the whole truth? Even in the courts we have lost the truth. Our doctors do not like to tell us the truth because of the fear we will have. The president, congress, and all of us with each other cannot always tell the truth. The truth is greater than the lie, and so we wait for the truth to come trickling in, finding it is like looking in the dark for a bottle of ink. From all accounts so far, truth seems to be a work of fiction. The government sees no redemption in truth- telling, and one can see clearly that a few thousand people, marching for the secrets of the universe, will not tilt the scales in our favor. I say be gentle and kind, seek what you really need, and the rest will come on its own. Sure, I would love to have friends in high places, Mars, Venus, or some unknown galaxy, writing me E-mail, but I can wait. When it is our turn and when it is in our best and highest interest, then, I believe, we will get what is worth waiting for, and not before. Yes, the truth is out there, we can pursue it together.
