As we come to the close of this thousand year phase we move towards a time when Reasoning overtakes Will, not in a sense of replacing it, but as an exploration of the next great principle to be integrated into life expression. #2 is the anchor number throughout the next thousand years, and as we enter its vibration we become aware of consequences of action. We see what our previous choices have yielded, and we are aware that there is more to consider than our impulses or ourselves.

This thousand years belongs to the feminine aspect of Creation. Within its fold, compassion and stewardship reside. No longer needing dominion, because we see its limitation, we unfold our own capacities as stewards of our environment. We recognize the benefits of our differences rather than the liabilities. We are much more attuned to perceptual and vibrational subtleties. Things are not always obvious and straightforward, and we recognize the need for more complex answers. We are willing to be the detectives, to find the clues that are given, and to take the time to put things together. Therefore, this will be the age of incredible insights.

We will learn about ourselves, our true nature, the workings of our bodies, the workings of the celestial bodies, and we will venture into vistas as yet uncharted that can only be comprehended through internal vision. During this thousand years, we will see the unfoldment of our understanding, maturing of purpose, and recognition that there is no one predominant group or force in life. We are all parts of the whole, each having a precious portion to play. And the underlying reality is what sustains us, for we are now aware of the power of faith, the power in alliances, and the need to look within rather than outside for all our answers. Prayer becomes a vehicle that connects us as never before, and as inner vision is developed, we gather together with newfound understanding that when two or more are gathered in "my" name....there I AM.

Given this, we look at our own position in this new era of unfoldment. From January to December of 2000 we are celebrating a cycle of life. We, as humans, go through in 9 years what nature experiences in 12 months. Depending upon our birth month and day, we are somewhere within the nine year cycle that number reflects. So, we find where we are in the cycle by adding the month of our birth to the day of our birth and adding the number 2 to reflect the universal year 2000. Then we add the total together until we have a single digit number. For instance, if your birthday is April 19, you would add 4 + 19 + 2. The sub total would be 25. Then add 2 + 5 and your total is 7. Thus, 7 would be the number that reflects 2000 for you personally, and in this column you would look for this number every month. Should you be born on November 26, you would add 11 + 26 + 2, which equals 39. You would then add 3 + 9 = 12. Repeat this process with the subtotal until you have a single digit. In this case, 1 + 2 = 3. Your number for 2000 is 3. Look for the forecast that applies to 3 every month in this column.

1 - The focus for you throughout this year is your individuality within the context of the larger sphere. Where and how do you fit? Are you in need of making changes that better reflect your abilities and aspirations? Until the fall, much of the year is a combination of past and future tugging at you in the present. After September, doors open, decisions are finalized, and movement takes place (even if it is only in your mind) ushering you into some form of a new life. Make the most of this time and ask yourself where you want to be in the next few years. This is the year of planting seeds for future harvest. Do so with alliance to Divine Will, and you will feel yourself guided to that which is a blessing to everyone. Otherwise, you may feel yourself stubbornly refusing assistance, defying convention, or demanding your own way. That's called willfulness, and is an indicator that it's time to stop and take stock of yourself. You belong to a bigger reality, and the key is to find your unique niche within that larger sphere, contributing your gifts and abilities in meaningful ways.

January requires choices. Choose uplifting thoughts, friends, and habits. Nourish your spirit and your body. Take time for yourself. Faith is your ally. Prayer is a conduit to greater resources. Issues within partnerships require a deeper look. Pay attention to subtle clues. Gather your resources. Through belief in yourself, everything is possible. Through compassion towards others, issues can be resolved as you reflect insights that benefit everyone.

2 - In step with universal timing, you are asked to be aware of the bigger circle of life to which you belong. Throughout this year you will be asked to clarify your thoughts, be aware of your reaction to situations, and take the higher road. Choices are important, and in all cases, choose consciously. That means tending your thoughts, being discerning about your words, your intake of foods, the people with whom you are partnered. Quality choices create conscious bridges between yourself and your desires. Some things take more time than anticipated, while other things may come together as though by miracle. Faith is a major player throughout this year. Subtleties are important. Prayer is a conduit that will assist you in gaining the insights needed. You are gathering this year, so do it with the knowledge that Life and the Divine are your partners. You don't have to do anything alone.

January asks you to be expressive and also is a month in which to enjoy others. Celebrate and find opportunities for gathering with people who you appreciate and with whom you can have fun. This is time to let the creative part of you run wild in a positive way. Be a little kid again. There may be emotional issues that crop up around children or family, but life also presents opportunities to be "on stage". You can inspire and motivate others, and attract beneficial situations to you. It's a special time for shining your light, so glow away!

3 - The focus of this year is imagination, creativity, and self-expression. It is a wonderful time for birthing a project. Avenues of expression may include writing, speaking, dancing, painting, singing, selling, inspiring others, shining your light, and letting the child part of you come out to play. It is also a year in which there can be emotional issues around the child part of you or children in general. Issues related to your over-doing or giving too much where it is unappreciated or taken for granted may crop up. Whatever occurs, life is asking you to be more detached and more aware of your own gifts and need to project them. You can be loving and compassionate to those who share your life, but you don't need to take on conflicts that are not yours. During the year you may find that you have the power of attraction. There can be fairy-tale situations that play out now. It is a year to take center stage and make the most of it!

January offers opportunities to see where patterns from the past constrict you. You may feel that you don't know enough in the face of an offer that calls upon you to stretch the limit of your capacity. How much do you value yourself and your abilities? Now is the time to push beyond barriers that restrict your potential. As you are willing to risk the unknown, there is a feeling of elation as you break through old barriers. This month signals death of the old and birth of the new. Transformation is possible with new guidelines being established.

4 - The focus this year is on building new foundations or restructuring old ones. You are asked to look at where you have been too narrow in your focus or where you have behaved too frivolously. This is a year of practical considerations, and some of them involve taking stock. Are there limiting patterns from the past that re-emerge, requiring your attention and release? If you are trapped by beliefs or ideas that no longer fit who you are it's time to uproot them and let them go. This is a building year. You now have the ability to take an idea and make it real. You may find your best efforts within organizations or through an orderly approach to your projects. The opportunities can bring great fulfillment. When you are willing to die to the old and be born to the new, nothing short of transformation is possible!

January brings changing circumstances. Either you have to adjust your plans in the face of unforeseen situations, or it is a time when there is a lot going on. You may feel as though you are in the midst of the information highway as there are many interesting things beckoning to you. The need for discernment is present, and the realization that you only have 24 hours in a day. When you do direct your efforts towards achieving a goal, you will feel magnificent and have loads of energy left.

5 - The focus of this year is Change. There may be moves, shifts in careers, attitude adjustments, different lifestyle choices... whatever is needed to move you forward in life and expand your horizons. The year offers many opportunities and requires that you use discernment. Be aware of how much time is actually available within a day. If you choose several rather than many projects, you will have the joy of completing them all with energy to spare. Otherwise, you might find yourself feeling moody and receiving the Critic of the Year award. There is a certain adolescent quality to the fifth year, and often we are tempted to jump into situations because they sound good in the moment. Generally, if something looks to good to be true, it is. Also, if something is truly out of character, it's good to put off buying until the Fall when tastes revert back to normal. That being said, the year offers many possibilities for adventure, travel, expansion, and enjoyment with the guidelines mentioned for getting the most out of it.

January focuses on relationships, service, and responsibility. Where is there conflict between what others expect and what you want to do? You may be called upon to lend your expertise to others in need, and when you extend yourself with a loving heart, you gain tremendous rewards in response. Ideals can be high, and there may be need for compromise or yielding on small points in negotiations, so figure out where stating demands is appropriate, and where not. You can feel lovingly connected or borderline imprisoned based on the quality of your relationships.

6 - The focus this year is on service, ideals, expectations, and health. When you give of yourself lovingly, you are showered with appreciation. When you do what is expected out of a sense of duty and responsibility, you may feel resentful, and those for whom you are doing will respond in kind. It's a wonderful year to look into your heart. Choose heartfelt action. Release the "shoulds" that keep you locked in interactions that are going nowhere and only cause martyrdom. Health issues crop up when your emotional needs are not met. The focus of #6 is to fill form with meaning, so you can establish relationships that have greater depth and value through your willingness to reorient any part of your life that has labored under limiting perspectives.

January requires deeper inquiry. Tests require looking at belief systems. Where are you standing on truth, and where are you bound by misconceptions? Someone from the past may resurface for completing unfinished business, or a new person may appear who feels like someone you've known forever. There is a little bit of destiny at work here, so grasp the opportunities.

7 - 2000 is a year of destiny for you. It is time to reflect on the deeper meaning and purpose of your life. Do you feel you are following your soul purpose, or are you caught up in things that keep you on edge? Now is the time to unravel the real from the misconceived. Health issues may crop up. If so, go back into your history and unravel the thread that leads from here to there. Where have you been harboring an incorrect perception about yourself or your life? This is also a year where you might feel a spiritual calling, or want to spend time in an area of special interest. By looking within, you have a much better lens into the outer world. Time for sleep and doing nothing is important. Nature is healing and restorative. This can be a year in which someone from the past resurfaces so that you can bring resolution to old issues, and where someone new may enter who feels like soul mate material. However the year projects itself for you, get to the truth, and be willing to release inadequacy so that you can embrace your greatness.

January is a powerful start to the year. You can reap rewards for past action, or be singled out for praise and promotion. You may also be required to manage and direct someone's finances, or feel overwhelming responsibility for things previously left undone. Therefore, the best course of action is to take care of everything as it is presented to the best of your present ability. Don't put anything off. Find your point of equilibrium, and flow with life.

8 - This year is one of responsibility and harvest. You have an opportunity to integrate lessons from the past eight years, finding harmony and a point of balance within yourself. You are required to organize and manage your time and energy more efficiently. It is a year when you can be singled out for an award or receive recognition for past efforts. Powerful people may assist you. The key to the year is your willingness to put forth the necessary effort to achieve your goals. You may be asked to handle responsibility for another's business or finances. You have the ability to focus and be very determined in pursuit of your goals. As long as you give equal time to all aspects of life that need attention, you will feel the rewards for your efforts. Otherwise, life can be a struggle.

January focuses on completion. What loose ends need to be taken care of? You are immediately aware of what is no longer working, and where you need to make changes. By focusing on the bigger picture, you can see things that other people miss and reflect a better way by putting your attention on higher mind rather than to appearances of anything less.

9 - This is the final year of a nine year cycle. As the year progresses you will determine what is important to keep with you and what you can now discard. You are making way for a new cycle to begin, but have clearing to do in the process. There can be situations that involve feelings of letting go through moves or other life-changing events. Higher mind is called upon now. You can help others with your insights, and you can involve yourself in activities to help humanity in some way or another. Actions done selflessly will reap high praise. 9 is not always an easy year when we are attached to the form life takes. When we can detach from preconceived ideas of how everything "should" be and allow life to be what it is, there is cause for rejoicing. When we truly understand the gifts given in a 9 year, we develop gratitude for everything that is in our lives, and for everything that is not.

January asks you to stand up and be counted. Your individuality within the context of the group is important. What is your best area of contribution? What singles you out from others? Strong self-discipline is helpful when you find yourself in situations where incompetent leadership is displayed. Bide your time, and find the kernel of truth that is presented to you in the most unlikely places. You have an opportunity to see yourself in a different light this month, and to act accordingly.
