This season of the solstice is a signal of
your own process of renewal. It is time for deconstruction or
reconstruction as you look at your finances, circumstances,
and the foundation upon which you have built your sense of reality.
What needs to be altered? What requires strengthening, better
planning, or complete rebuilding? Where have you been afraid
to move forward although a larger reality is beckoning you to
enter? The opportunity in December is to look directly at your
sense of limitation and to push beyond the barriers you have
constructed or that appear to be holding you back. As you make
up your mind to move forward, you are able to make unprecedented
gains and to remove a burden as you are willing to risk to the
unknown. The potential is transformational, so be willing to
go beyond what you think you can do, and once done, don't
be surprised if you ask yourself, "Why in the world did
I wait so long?!"

You may have a momentary desire to spend freely
and throw caution to the wind. Think again! There is an adolescent
influence nipping at your heels, making you want to trip the
light fantastic and do things that may seem out of character.
It's a great idea to expand your horizons and to explore
possibilities, but consider consequences of actions before you
spend money you don't have or get involved in things you
have not thoroughly researched. Read the fine print in all contractual
arrangements, making sure you are not the pawn of someone else's
power play. Be aware of your own motives, too. This month provides
a sense of adventure, desire to travel, and you might find it
difficult to focus on one thing when there is so much to see
and do. If you are able to harness your restless energy into
achieving a goal, you are able to accomplish something in much
less time than it would normally take. However you find this
month presenting itself, enjoy, and take the opportunity to
express yourself in ways that make you feel good!

All things hearth and family come up to be
dealt with. Depending on your emotional state, this can be a
wonderful, warm, and loving time - filled with appreciation
and goodwill, or it can be an agonizing time of duty, obligation,
or of feelings of loss for what once was or what you wish had
been. If you are disappointed with the details of life right
now, volunteer your time to help those who are in need. Giving
and sharing your gifts with others who are forgotten will not
only help them, but open your heart to seeing the blessing you
can be in the lives of others. Where you sow love, you will
feel the bountiful return of appreciation, and where you languish
in self-pity or resentment, you will feel the emptiness that
you are projecting. December requires compassion, love, giving,
and recognizing that there are many paths to the top of the
mountain. Letting others be who they are, while you retain the
right to be yourself, is one of the greatest gifts you can give,
and the returns can be immeasurable.

Turn your attention inward as the month asks
you to be more focused on your spiritual life. As you take time
for yourself to ask deeper question, such as "Who am I,
Why am I here, and what is the purpose of my life?" you'll
have opportunities for insights that might otherwise not be available.
Even though this is a big month for holidays, your body may want
to forego over activity and require more time for rest, meditation,
or sleep. The batteries are low and need recharging, and this
month can be a wonderful time for retreat. If you can be in nature
with quiet and a fire in the hearth, you will feel the blessings
of soulful reunion. Otherwise, envision a scene that would be
most nourishing to you, and project that into your quiet time
regardless of where you are.

You are acknowledged for things done well in
the past, or you are aware of what you avoided - like balancing
check books or paying bills on time. This month calls for an accounting,
giving you what you have earned, and requiring from you what you
have avoided. The key to December is finding a point of balance
and a way to bring more harmony into your life. Look at all of
the things that are required of you: work, family, study, worship,
and everything else that calls for attention. Are you flowing
with the river or fighting upstream? Do you give adequate time
to all the pulls that present themselves, or do you feel that
you have paid too much attention to one area of your life at the
expense of others? This month calls for re-establishing harmony.
In relation to your own physical well-being, if you are stressed,
choose hydrotherapy or music to bring you back to balance. Recognize
the power of "vibration" and do those things that
bring about poise and a sense of equilibrium and well-being. |

Move to higher ground this month in your sense
of what is right and wrong, and where you feel self-righteous.
You are being asked by Providence to see the bigger picture and
to recognize the importance of compassion and giving with a loving
heart. Doing without thought of what comes in return sets you
up for a profound sense of gratitude and appreciation for what
you have and who you are. When you are able to shine a light for
others that has no agenda, and accepts them as they are without
judgment, you are doing the work of your Creator, and you are
demonstrating unconditional love. As you give this form of acceptance
to others, you feel the same acceptance from your Creator, and
a sense of communion with the Divine is possible. All things small
and petty must be released, and in this month of rebirth of hope,
that which you do to lift yourself to a higher level of awareness
and kindness is repaid tenfold at least. |

Forge new relationships and stand up for what
you believe. In this year of going deeper, this month asks you
to plant seeds for your future. Regardless of the fact that it
is winter in nature, this month is your time to make connections
and bring your voice forward. Leadership roles may be thrust upon
you, or you can be asked to take charge of a project. Self-reliance,
courage and stamina are important attributes, and you are able
to observe how you react to circumstances. Enlightened leadership
listens, ponders, and acts upon knowledge. Youthful impulsiveness
is defensive, impetuous, and jumps in where angels fear to tread.
By determining how you respond and making a mental note to refine
your reactions, you can deepen your understanding of how to proceed
successfully into the world in a way that makes a positive difference
and that gives you a sense of pride and fulfillment. |

Explosive elements come together now to bring
about opportunities for awakening. These can occur through disruption
or through sudden insight and awareness of new ways of being.
You may have dreams or visions that are profound, requiring immediate
translation before you forget. You can be psychically attuned
and aware more so than usual, and you view relationships that
are mutually beneficial and nurturing as well as those that are
deeply dysfunctional. It's important for you to be aware
of boundaries and to weed out all things (thinking, eating, and
relationships) that are not nourishing to your body, mind, and
spirit. Choose excellence in all things. Make sure you are giving
and receiving that which supports and uplifts you and those you
interact with, and choose partnerships that reflect light and
good health in all ways. You can merge with something or someone
wonderful and magical, or you may end a relationship that has
been a major depressant in your life. This is the universe's
time to awaken you, either with a vibrant insight, or an unnerving
jolt. |

Your creativity and love of expression is important.
It can be channeled into music, children, works of art, theater,
playfulness, or any other realm where you can bring forth a childlike
sense of wonder and joy in participating in life's magical
moments. Life is a stage, and this month beckons you to stand
in the spotlight and express yourself in ways that bring more
of your vibrancy and colorful qualities to the fore. Issues that
come up may deal with emotional issues related to children or
the child within you. Life asks that you detach from expectations
or an old script that colors you in any way other than lovely.
Bring your gifts to the fore. You can motivate, inspire, and persuade
- selling ice cubes to Eskimos if need be. Don't let
anything or anyone dissuade you from your God given talents and
gifts, and find more and more outlets for the flow of those gifts
that makes life a more beautiful and worthwhile place to be. And
while you are at it, remember to ENJOY yourself!

WHAT ARE YOUR GIFTS IN THE YEAR

1 |
You are beginning a new cycle that will allow
you to open new doors, make new connections, and define your ideas
and inspiration in a way that may significantly alter your life
view or the way you move forward in the future. Bring steadfast
determination and willingness to be open to new opportunities.
Last year was the completion of a nine year cycle for you, and
during that time, you reviewed what works and what doesn't
work in your life. It's time now to re-invent yourself in
ways that are more appropriate to who and what you have become.
This is a new season - and it requires planting the seeds
for your future. Think things through. Don't act on impulse,
but recognize what potential you have and where you want to make
your mark. Right use of Will is important. The more stubborn and
impatient you are, the more chance there is to embark on a path
that is not optimum, so take your time, listen to advice, and
then pay attention to your own higher guidance for confirmation.
This year is all about a new adventure, and you can write the
script for how you want to see it unfold. |

2008 is all about partnerships and the quality
of your connection to everything in your life. That means your
connection to your thoughts, your body, people in your life, attitudes
about others - and it requires discernment and determination
to choose only that which supports and nourishes you at the deepest
level. You may find yourself feeling overwhelmed by other people's
wants. This points to your need to create an invisible boundary
surrounding yourself that others do not penetrate. With thoughts,
if you find yourself in a state of depression, it is important
to shift the frequency that you are focusing upon. Surround yourself
with positive guidance, and pay attention to the subtle clues
life presents. Are you eating things that nurture your body, or
are you depleting your reserves through wrong choices? This year
is often about subtlety. Things aren't necessarily in your
face, but call upon you to interpret what is going on beneath
the surface, or sense the undercurrents in interactions with others.
Inner guidance is seeking you, and in this you also need discernment.
The voice you pay attention to needs to be inclusive and loving,
not exclusive and exploitive, so your task is to differentiate
between the voice of the ego, and the voice of Spirit. As you
move through this year gathering the clues, it can be a wonderful
opportunity for impressions that you translate into something
that adds more meaning to your own life and the lives of others.

Create, Create, and Create! Take the gifts that
are innately yours and find outlets that allow you to express
yourself in positive ways. You can inspire, motivate, persuade,
and do all the other things that bring something wonderful to
birth. Emotions are part of this mix, and when you allow yourself
to be victimized by other people's criticism or issues,
you lose the spark that is yours for this year. The idea here
is that you can be loving and supportive, but you are not to take
on the issues that another person has to contend with. This means
parents and children. Recognize how you can be most helpful where
it is called for without compromising the spark of magic and possibility
that is touching you this year. It is a wonderful time to get
in touch with your own inner child, be more playful and light
hearted, and to find things that bring you joy. See the world
through eyes that believe anything is possible, and you will draw
to yourself the things that make that reality. Beauty is important,
so surround yourself with things that make you smile, and be the
sunshine that causes others to be glad you are part of their lives.
It really can be a year where the ability to look at the absurdities
of life through a lens of humor transmutes difficulties into possibilities!

2008 is a great time to structure or restructure
things in your life that require more attention. You have the
wherewithal now to focus on what needs to be accomplished, and
your view is practical. It's time to make order out of chaos,
and to strengthen foundations in all areas of living. By keeping
your eye on the prize, and deferring frivolity in the moment,
you will come to the conclusion of the year with a strong sense
of pride and accomplishment. Otherwise, you may find yourself
trying to sidestep what needs to be done and having to take care
of bigger issues later. Be methodical, follow a blueprint, and
be willing to take risks needed to move you into a larger arena.
By believing more in what you have to offer, you can make headway
that overcomes inertia or feelings of not being good enough. You
are enough, and your efforts can bring the achievement you seek.
Fear is based on not knowing outcomes, but when you push a little
harder and do not give up in the face of obstacles, you will make
breakthroughs that allow for the transformation of your life and
others. |

Full speed ahead! However, watch for curves in
the road, and be discerning about where you are going and with
whom. There may be those who are full of promises and talk a good
story, but be aware that you may come up against someone this
year whose intentions are less than honorable. Insist on seeing
references, pay attention to track records, and be wary if you
are flattered into overlooking warning signs or signing something
without fully reading what you are agreeing to. This year is about
exploring options and expanding your vision and territory. It
is also about communication, information, and travel. There are
many choices, and opportunities to take multiple paths. Just make
sure you are realistic about how long things take, and choose
things that bring results to fruition, because if you just allow
the year to be a wild ride, you will become critical and appear
flaky - and that's not the intent of this otherwise
grand opportunity to widen horizons. Beyond the warnings, open
your arms and embrace possibility. This can be life changing!

The more gratitude you can find in your heart
this year, the more you will have to be grateful for. 2008 provides
an unusual mixture of duty and joy. The key is your attitude.
As you see all obligations as blessings, they become so. As you
feel resentful and unappreciated, you will draw more of that to
yourself. The focus is either on the letter of the law or the
spirit of the law. Are you getting back exactly what you put out,
or are others not giving you the respect you think you are due?
Truth is, you will receive exactly what you perceive, so if you
adopt an attitude of giving and doing because your heart is full
of gladness that you can do for others, you will be overwhelmed
by gratitude... even if it's only your own. Your opportunities
to express love are endless. Some of what appears unlovable is
most in need of love. So, recognize your gifts, give because you
can, and realize that your efforts become an agent for healing
and wellbeing of many. What an opportunity! |

You can achieve new levels of understanding this
year about yourself, your special areas of interest, and your
spiritual life. It's a wonderful time to put attention on
things that bring greater perspective and knowledge. Look beyond
the surface and find the clues that will tie loose ends together.
This can be a year of deep connections, with someone coming into
your life who is very special, or someone from the past returning
to complete unfinished business. All connections take on greater
meaning, and require that you determine what has value in your
life and what is merely superficial. In the seventh year, the
opportunity to deepen your spiritual understanding is marked,
so be sure that you do those things that bring you closer to the
inner wellspring of truth. In addition, take care of health concerns.
Listen to your body, and do those things that nourish and honor
yourself. Time spent in solitude is restorative, and there is
great healing through connection to nature in her many forms.
Appreciate quiet and beauty, and do those things that replenish
your soul. You will be glad you did! |

You may feel that you are "on call"
this year. You are in a sense. Life is a system of energy, and
you are asked to stand in the center of your life and bring things
into flowing balance and harmony. Where are you off in one area
of focus at the expense of everything else in your life, and where
have you forgotten to take time to smell the flowers, or to manage
and coordinate things in such a way that you are on top of what
needs doing? Life is not asking for perfection, but it is requiring
that you take a practical, no-nonsense approach to what is needed,
and then take the steps to bring things into balance. Too much
stress? Make time for massage, listen to music, sit in a hot tub.
The idea throughout the year is that you may be called upon to
be responsible... to direct and manage things. But you are
also asked to orchestrate your life in such a way that it becomes
a symphony rather than cacophony. This is a grand opportunity,
and you are up to the challenge. The rewards can be great, but
before they come, action steps are required. So, roll up your
sleeves, embrace the opportunity, and grab the baton. Conduct
away, and feel the empowerment that comes as a result!

This is a major point of completion, calling
upon you to determine what is important for the future, and what
is no longer necessary. This year offers opportunities to revisit
the past nine years and to see where you have grown beyond certain
ideas, people, and situations that no longer reflect who you have
become. You might say this year is about graduation. You are finishing
a major cycle, and the more you assess and digest, the more room
you make for new opportunities in 2009. Throughout 2008, you will
have the chance to see yourself from a larger perspective. Make
a point of taking the high ground in all situations, and be honest
with yourself about your role in what is happening. Where have
you outgrown the way you do things? Where are you clutching things
from the past that are no longer relevant? What needs to be purged?
As you reach out to Source for your supply, you feel grateful
and appreciative for what is. Everything becomes an opportunity
to grow. When you forget, and rely only on yourself, things may
feel stuck. You aren't alone, and by recognizing your need
for Divine assistance and ASKING for it, you will be given the
tools to make wise choices and release limitations from your life.
This is a big year. The implications go way beyond just now, so
make the most of it and let go of everything that is in the way
of you achieving your full potential.
