Numbers By Design

Overview for Your Personal Year and September 2001

1 - The purpose of the year comes looming into focus. How do you want to proceed? What direction is your life taking? Are you moving forward aligned to Divine Will, or are you bumping up against your own? Develop the courage, stamina, and willingness to initiate new concepts or connections, and then be steadfast in your pursuit of what is for your greatest good. As you focus on your own wants, remember to extend dignity to others. A new cycle has begun, and the decisions you are making now will set the tone for the coming nine years…so be mindful of what you are putting into motion. Long-range thinking is necessary, not just momentary whim. That being said, gather your sword of inquiry, and cut away the underbrush that keeps you from your best self.

2 - The focus of the year is about you being a vessel of life. What is the quality of your contents? Are you filled with faith or fear? The object of this year is to dissolve all that interferes with the light that seeks to move to and through you. The caliber of your connections is essential to the quality of your thoughts, health, and relationships. Whatever dims the inner vision of unity needs to be relinquished. Worry and doubt come about when you are focused on the wrong channel. Fear is the great pretender. Love is the only true worthy companion. Strengthen yourself with an alliance to That Which loves you unconditionally, and then you will feel the seamless stream that unblocks your creative insights so that your cup indeed can overflow.

3 - This year has been about creation for you, whether biological, emotional, or through works of self-expression. The focus is on bringing your gifts to the fore, and releasing the emotional hurts or entanglements that cause you to lose your light. This year gifts the divine child in you, and as long as you recognize that precious link to your eternal nature, you can choose those things that nourish and strengthen your soul expression. The statement that "A child shall lead them" refers to the quality of joyous anticipation in the good and miraculous. It relates to our ability to call upon that uncontaminated part of our own nature to be the guiding light, clearly aligned to Divinity. As you believe in your abilities, your level of contribution enriches all life. When you withhold or lose sight of your true nature, major opportunities are missed, so open your arms and expand the light.

4 - The purpose of the year comes into focus now as you are asked to look at all areas within your life. Where are your foundations sturdy, and where do they need shoring up or rebuilding? At a larger level, this year is about transformation, and requires willingness to "die" to the old to be reborn in the new. Have you done that? As you collapse the patterns from the past that no longer serve you, or were based on illusion, you open yourself to a much bigger possibility. This process requires willingness to risk to the unknown, and it may not feel safe. But what is safety? As you open your arms to embrace life and are willing to expand your horizons, all sorts of possibilities present themselves. Grasp the meaning behind this, and you will have a major clue to add to the blueprint of your life.

5 - The purpose of the year is to help you expand or change direction if there is need for adjustment. As you open yourself to new possibilities, life becomes a moveable feast. When you over-extend, your focus is compromised, and you feel the disruption of too many distractions. However, when you put commitment behind a "Can Do!" attitude, you are able to achieve great things. Travel, either mental or physical, is broadening. Flexibility is essential now as plans may be altered. Life is the great adventure, and you are on a quest to gather the clues. As you do…a larger purpose begins to unfold, and what would otherwise be irritating becomes a tremendous opportunity for growth.

6 - The focus of this year has been on family, health, and service. The traditions that bind you or that you hold dear are important this month. You have an opportunity to look at all areas within your life to reflect on the gifts they are, or to feel the resentment they cause. Are you focusing on the shortcomings of others or on the blessing of connections? Is your body asking for more kindness from you, and are you doing things that are healing to your whole being, or neglecting the signals that are warning of dis-ease? It's a wonderful month in which to be aware of what lens you view life through. Is it self-righteousness, expectation, and obligation, or is it the lens that only sees love? As you view it, so life follows. Your choice. Your perception

7 - What an opportunity you have this year! This month reflects the purpose, and as you take time to deepen your connection to your Creator…to move away from the external stimulus and go on retreat, or be with nature…you can sense the presence of something much greater than all the world's promises. It isn't that you have to relinquish your connections; it's just putting things in perspective, and noting the miracles that can only be accessed through a quiet mind and open heart. Face any tests that come with willingness to drop pretenses or defensiveness. As you are willing to hear what others have to say, you can reformat areas of misconception and become the clear instrument your Creator has intended!

8 - Life is a system of energy, and you are asked to direct it this year. Where are the demands overwhelming, and where are you trying too hard? Is there balance in your life, or are you running after the brass ring without thought of other things that need attention? Your opportunity now is to find methods for living in harmony with yourself and with others. You may experience rewards for your efforts, or be given assistance by others in positions to do you good. You can also see where you've let something slip, and now need to make up for lost time. However life gifts you this month…it is an opportunity to recognize the dance of opposites, and bring yourself closer and closer to the center so that you don't have to rush to the ends of extreme.

9 - An ending to a nine year cycle, and a month that brings something to conclusion…that's September. You may not be able to implement a new focus yet, but you are clearer about what isn't working and what you don't want. As you make your way to the top of the metaphorical mountain to see the overview and commune without interruption, many insights come, and questions are answered. When you truly have a feeling of gratitude for your life, things have a way of coming to you to support your faith. When you see everything as a trial and loss, life affirms that, too. So…go up to the mountain. Share your insights with others and lend a helping hand. When you do, life offers you the same, and then…how sweet it can be!
