On Salt Spring Island, BC, where
I live, there are nine labyrinths in the etheric; some are marked,
others are not. I have memorized the one in my garden because
I was told it was not to be marked. There are several labyrinths
- seven that turn to the left, seven that turn to the right, one
that has 15 turns, where the Mary, the Michael, the Lion and one
other subsidiary line all cross, and a Chartres labyrinth. The
different shapes have different functions.
|
Let's begin with the seven-turn labyrinth.
These are easy to draw. First you begin with a cross.
|
|
Next, place a dot in each corner. |
|
Then draw an 'L' between each dot and the
center of the cross (see diagram C). The more 'L's' there
are, the more turns you will find in the labyrinth. |
|
To make a labyrinth that opens to the left,
you must connect things by moving to the right. With a
slightly arching line, connect the top of the cross with
the top of the 'L' to the right. |
|
Now, move to the left of the central cross
and with a slightly arching line, connect the top of the
'L' to the dot in the right hand corner. |
|
Moving once again to the left, pick up the
dot in the left top corner and, with an arching line going
over the top and around the corner, connect it to the
other end of the 'L' in the right hand corner. |
| Continue in this way until all the
dots and lines are connected. |
|
The seven-turn labyrinth is the pattern of creation. The nature
spirits use this pattern to change ether into matter, and so do
we.
The seven-turn labyrinth exists within each of us. If you
were to point your finger into the crown chakra of a willing
male participant while holding an 'L' rod in your other hand,
you would observe the dowsing rod move to the right. If you
moved your pointing finger into the space in front of the third
eye, your rod would turn to the left. This pattern would continue
down through the chakras. The polarity of our chakras alternates,
turning through each chakra - four Yang and three Yin centers
for men, and four Yin and three Yang for women.
The first four chakras are thought to represent the four elements,
with the fifth chakra, the throat, representing ether. All things
are four elements activated by the fifth element, ether.
The turns of the labyrinth within are as follows:
Fire - 3rd chakra - Will
Water - 2nd chakra - Emotion
Earth - 1st chakra - Connection to the earth
Air - 4th chakra - Love
7th chakra - Connection to spirit
6th chakra - Visualizing
Ether - 5th chakra - KNOWING
Here is an example of how you would walk your inner labyrinth
to create balance:
Sit where you will be undisturbed and bring your mind into
the stillness. Send a grounding cord down to the center of
the earth and attach it. With your in-breath, breathe up the
gentle, healing earth energy. Breathe the earth energy up
through your chakras and out the top of your head, letting
it cascade through your energy field. With your out-breath
FEEL acceptance. Repeat this transformation of energy to feeling
a few times.
Then, with your imagination and your intent, send tendrils
from the top of your head out through space to Sirius, and
attach them. Breathing in, draw the stellar energy down through
your chakras and into the earth, breathing out the FEELING
of love. Repeat this transformation of energy to feeling a
few times.
Next, breathe in the earth and stellar energies together,
let them meet in your heart chakra and breathe out, FEELING
love and acceptance at the same time.
Now that you have the pattern of light from below and above
meeting in a chakra, transforming the light into the FEELING
of love and acceptance, begin to move through your inner labyrinth
by:
- Breathing the light into your third chakra and feeling
love and acceptance as you breathe out
- Breathe the light into your second chakra and with your
out-breath feel love and acceptance move through your emotional
field, bringing it into balance
- Breathe the stellar and earth energies into your root
chakra, breathing out the feeling of love and acceptance
in your connection to the earth
- Breathe the light in and let it meet in your heart chakra,
breathing out the feeling of love and acceptance
- Breathe in the light and allow it to focus in your crown
chakra, exhaling with the feeling of love and acceptance
within your connection to spirit
- Breathe in the earth and stellar energies and let them
meet in your third eye, breathing out the feeling of love
and acceptance
- Finally, breathe in the light and focus it in your throat
chakra, feeling love and acceptance as you breathe out.
Now move your consciousness to the outside, to your periphery,
wherever you perceive it to be, and feel the balance within.
Now that you have the cellular memory of how the balance of
the chakras, individually and as a whole, is experienced, you
can return to this place anytime. Whatever is happening in your
life, breathe in the light, let it meet in your heart, and FEEL
love and acceptance.
Here is an example of walking your inner labyrinth to create
your reality:
I want to create a garden: 3rd chakra - Will - FIRE
I get excited about it - the more excited the better: 2nd
chakra - Emotion - WATER
I connect with the earth: 1st chakra - Root - EARTH
I love the plan for the garden, the earth I mean to transform
and the person with whom I am sharing this dream: 4th chakra
- The heart - AIR
I connect with spirit: Crown chakra
I visualize the garden, finished, in all its beauty: 6th
chakra - Third eye
I KNOW this garden will come to be: 5th chakra - Throat
chakra - ETHER
The seven-turn labyrinth is a creation pattern and can be
transposed to our seven chakras. The Chartres labyrinth is
a journey to experience and can be transposed to our twelve
chakras.
LABYRINTHS AND PORTALS
The seven-turn labyrinths are TIME portals. The ones
that turn to the left direct you to the past. The ones that
turn to the right direct you forward in time. NOTE: Not to the
future, but FORWARD in time.
The Chartres labyrinth is a portal as well. It is a portal
of PLACE or LOCATION.
The 15-turn labyrinth is an ENERGY portal.
Labyrinths were called windows by some of the indigenous
peoples, and were approached, if at all, with extreme caution.
All of the labyrinths on Salt Spring Island have protection
on them, so that people cannot get lost in them. In the future,
we will use the labyrinths as portals, but for now, we will
have to content ourselves with the gifts of balance, discovery
and creation.

Lynne Logan is a teacher of metaphysics, and a healer of
healers. She lives on Salt Spring Island, B.C., Canada, where
she and her husband have co-created a beautiful garden in
cooperation with the nature spirits. A labyrinth has formed
in the etheric where the two subsidiary energy lines go through
the property, as well as the Michael line and, as of the past
Solstice, the Mary line.
