WITH THE TIME of Hawk, and the celebration of our vision, we enter a new time for Spiral Dancing and humanity. I am in transition into the next stage of my Dsilyidje qacal. The songs of the Atsalei Bigin commence.

In the Third Dragon Quirriguha - Bright Spirit - we balance giving and receiving. Quirriguha brings serenity, the essence of truth and the lessons of being true to ourselves. We become peacemakers, see through illusions, create Sacred Space, and learn techniques of manifestation, clarity and focus. Our bodies heal and become strong, as does our character... a state of integrity begins to settle in. Love, flexibility and giveaway clear the pain from the heart, and we find peace in compassion. We ensure a future for all. Boundaries become community guidelines of health. We look for the blessings, acknowledge the truth in them, and use those blessings for the highest good of all.

This initation will transition to the next on June 30, 2007.

Through this time we will visit the thirteen initiations of Healing Complete (Chajala Naaisha) and claim personal power (Haquni) with humility and confidence. We work through our foundations - making them solid and known, fixing each crack and replacing stones that no longer stand strong. We tap healing complete as we strengthen the bonds that tie us to unconditional love and the source of All That Is. Finally, we find peace in dreaming the world reality that is and will be.

These are gigantic steps for humanity. Look around you... the world awakens even as we speak, as we pray. Look at the power of the united heart in spirit mind, and the reality of being who we really are... we have evolved, and continue to do so. Release all fear and allow your Guides and Ancestors to chart your course. Listen to your gut, work diligently to live according to earth cycle, and celebrate life with joy and excitement.

The Hawk Ceremony is presented here, below. We will be observing the naa'din di'i'i ceremonies - cyclic planetary alignment ceremonies - throughout this year. If you can do nothing else, read the ceremony on the day specified. If you can do more, you will find yourself in cyclic alignment, more balanced, calm and with exceptional clarity.

Dimensional Thinking
Please invite your community to participate. Those of you that do these with others will find the experience more CONNECTING. When we do ritual in isolation, we experience a one-on-one connection with our guides, much like we experience a one-on-one connection in relationship to other humans, pets, etc.

Humans have been taught to communicate one-dimensionally. When you engage with spirit in your personal time you engage in two-dimensional or circular thinking; it's a vibrational notch up. Now, in your community work you take it to spiral thinking - third-dimensional communication. Finally, with the group ceremony you have reached fourth-dimensional communication or "web" thinking. What we arrive at by 2012 is 13:20 illumination, fifth-dimensional manifestation... something that far surpasses thinking.

So, take a deep breath... and jump. Fly with the feathered rainbow serpent of prophecy. Allow yourself to believe in what might be possible. Stretch and grow and watch the illusion fall away. Trust your connection; trust the truth of love and relax into the Sacred Parents' embrace. Responsibility means listening, observing, celebrating, and sitting in awe of what we create with All That Is.

Ashne ate... always love, Maria

Deelicho nyol'ni - Hawk Wind Way
Atsalei Bigin - Songs of the First Dancers

DAY ONE

Pray at Sunset
Establish intent with this prayer:

Upon a little cloud we ascend; thus we journey. To a holy place we go, changing as we pass through air. Kelei, Hawk Messenger, may the many faiths that humanity profess find within their meaning the one commonality known as love. May we always see our path through the valley of beliefs. Freedom is a gift of personal truth. May we always recognize ours. Daaiina, and so it is.

DAY TWO

Blessing Ceremony
In the morning you will create 13 tobacco prayer ties. Create 13 to a string. In addition to these thirteen add one with the ending prayer below. Into each of yours blow clear intent as to things you would like to see happen over the next nine months. Be positive. You may pray for yourself, your community, anyone, anything...

Chajala Nakia, healing snake of the south, beauty is our religion. We worship her as our Spirit; we have opportunities every day to pray that we may fulfill our purpose in life. We pray that we may be used as conduits of unconditional love in the world. Aho.

Drum the Energy
Drum for 15-45 minutes to raise the energy and project your clear vision into your created prayer ties.

Medicine Walk / Sending Vision to the 4 Directions
If possible, go for a walk in the country, if not this can be done anywhere, you can find an outdoor plant. You will take your prayer ties and hang them from the tree, bush or shrub, so they may freely blow upon the breeze, to be released to the 4 Directions as Spirit determines. Pray:

Chajala Hada'didla, healing ThunderBings of the southwest, beauty is visible, manifest and the bperfect handiwork of co-creation. One step, one moment, the next step and its moment, how simple life can bring freedom! We are one with those who gather together in the name of our extended family. We feel the strength fo the consecrated circle. Aho.

Journal
In a receptive state of mind, trust in your own energy connection to the Universe; see the balanced Universe as unconditional love and its harmony as your own state. Focus intent and vision with rhythmic breathing. Allow intent and focus to bring relaxation, the last element of manifestation.
Manifesting vision involves a combination of breathing, praying and meditating... plus positive verbal affirmations to and of self.

Kachinas Dance
Paint symbols on yourself that represent your power, then dance one song-dance of alignment with your spiritual guide/totem animal. Before beginning the dance, pray:

We come before you, Spirits of Tustuskya, the great wheel of life, to honor you, and celebrate our union in this Time of No-Time. We are seeking a clear and helpful vision of ourselves, that we may move forward on behalf of All Our Relations. Show us what we need to know, as we embrace the power and beauty of Hawk's Wind Way. Daaiina, and so it is.

DAY THREE

Greet the Sunrise
Face Grandfather Sun at dawn (or as close to it as you can get), and state your Apache given name. For those that are not of this tradition, state your secret spirit name. Pray...

Itza, white tailed eagle, great one, bird of authority, hear the hearts of these children. Come, White Tail. Come and share your knowledge, reveal prophecy. Great One, Itza, Giver of All Life's bird of Spirit, see us all. Feel our hearts. Come and share your knowledge, reveal sacred prophecy. Aho.

Drum the Energy
Drum for 15-45 minutes.

Giveaway Ritual
Gather your possessions together... this includes sacred items. If you have not used, or looked at them in a year, give them away. Sacred items that can be cleared give - gift - in a passing of power to someone that needs this type of energy as a boost to get through their current lesson. Those that cannot be cleared by human intent, bury in the good mother, or gift to the ocean or fire. Personal items can go to friends, family and charity. As you begin to go through your things, express this prayer...

Chajala Eo'to'to, healing bear of the west, we believe in the sacredness of beauty that is at once the beginning of our worship of life; we go within if ever we feel dissatisfied. We find our joy there, and our sense of well being, and that Sacred Law is in change. We lift our eyes from their former position of downcast. We set our sights on higher grounds. Aho.

Journal
Awareness and acknowledgement permit you to change your behavior in positive ways. During this ceremony, you may get in touch with how you see yourself seeing yourself. If the form shifts, allow it to do so. You will learn important things about your developing self-portrait that you have kept hidden from yourself, but usually not from others. To enhance your ability to vision, stretch your energy - exercise it. You are training your attention. Focused attention enhances ability to be in the energies that manifest vision, which is already fully in manifestation, just waiting to be accessed. First, don't "try hard." Second, don't figure out in advance what you "ought" to see or hear or feel. Just do. Release the Shadow of Fear.

Blessing and Awakening
Once your vision of self has been acquired, smudge, then pray:

Nakia, son of Katoy'a, great snake of prophecy and vision, you have come - the passing of power is complete - the Fifth World of Peace is prepared. We celebrate the journey we now embrace. Nakia, snake of sky eyes, you give hope and joy. Nakia, son of Kato'ya, we ask you to bless our vision of essence, that we may celebrate all our glorious days! Daaiina, and so it is.

DAY FOUR

Ground Preparation
The grounds are being prepared for the community garden. Sacred ground is also being prepared for ceremony. Please join us in prayer as we sanctify this Sacred Space for Deelicho nyol'ni
, Hawk Wind Way...

Chajala Dolee'atee, healing Little Ones of the northwest, beauty is the Source of our nurturing happiness. Today, we take time to smell the flowers. We pray we may have a seeing eye. We pray that with the eye of faith, we may see Spirit's purpose everywhere as we create this Sacred Space. Aho.

Drum the Energy
Drum for 15-45 minutes.

Fire Ceremony
Light a 7 day prayer candle (tall candles found usually with the Mexican food section in the grocery store). This will be the focal point of your altar, and connect everyone to the Central Heart Flame of All That Is. Pray when lighting:

Chajala Tuma, healing buffalo of the north, we stand before beauty, and forgive ourselves for our illusions of fear. We get free. We tackle this small task today; it blesses us in special ways. We are strong in Spirit's strength. We trust Spirit to guide us on the path. Aho.

Journal
Share what is happenng. In being receptive, you can ask a question, state a problem or tap into a recurring theme for consideration and exploration. That's how you learn from guides. You can change things, once you are clear about your purpose. Inner wisdom is tapped.

Natoh Ritual - Holy Smoke
Offer tobacco to the seven directions with this prayer:

Kelei, great hawk messenger who foretells vision, bless our eyes that we may see. Grant us clarity as we witness your messages in this sacred natoh ritual, so that we will be assisted in our quest for manifestation. Our hearts are open to your counsel. Ukehi, we are grateful for your insight and inspiration, your wisdom, and guidance. We honor all mesages you bring to us. Daaiina.

DAY FIVE

Natoh Ritual
Same as above, with this prayer:

Chajala Kachinas, healing All Seeing Ones of the Northeast, beauty brings our hearts closer to true identity today; we pay particular attention to the accomplishments of others - those close to us, and those we read or hear about. We believe their example and feel the forward push. Love embraced fear and transmutes anguish from our lives. We pray that others can know the peace that love brings. Aho.

Calling Energy
Sit with your candle. Have smudge but do not use it until instructed to do so. Pray:

The Spirits are pleased. They are pleased with the Children of the Four Directions. They see us gathering in community circle. We thank the Spirit of the Eternal Flame, and all those that tend the heart fire of these many days of ceremony. Walking this path has been work and it has gone slower that many of us believed, but we have worked well together as it has always been. It has taken effort to come this far, but nothing can be accomplished without effort.

Now smudge - especially the hands - this is known as the hand warming ritual.

We will remember this time always in love, and recall it during those times when we may need reassurance to go on, continuing our journey.

Now call out to your spirit guide, by name if you know it, and ask your guide to join with you for the duration of the ceremony. If they are all ready here, thank them for being with you.

Spirit Meal
Eat something small, place a small bite on a plate, then drink some water, and add water to the bowl. This is taken outside and offered to the land. Pray:

We invite these numerous spirits that touch and share our sacred space to guide us in our quest. Please help us find wisdom. We acknowledge and honor our guides.

Journal
Writing in this nature firms your impressions, makes recall easier, and provides insights for change when referred to at a later time. Today you fashion destiny, your web of fate you spin. And so it is.

Healing Complete
Smudge yourself with cedar if possible. Pray:

Kalei, hawk spirit of the air, bless us with your inspiration and wonder. Bring us clear and open minds, help us hear the birds signing, the children laughing. help us to spread our winds and fly forth into life. Aho.

Release the Working
Breath in 12 times, and out 12 times, slowly, allowing your body to stretch and move the air and energy into any locations of stiffness or pain. Sit in the warmth of Grandfather Sun while you do this and allow your mind to drift upon the breeze, clouds or bird's song. Do this for 30 minutes. There are no prayers, or rituals from this point on.

Yalan intin, good journey.
