For example, when my former husband and I hold the same vision of a beautiful beach we Loved, the Love energy becomes stronger. An image comes into Mind of him and I. Through the soul Heart communication takes on new forms. Visualizing meeting your Loved one in a place you both know deepens the connection.

One important factor for communication through the veils, whether it is with a spirit guide or a family member, is emotional clarity. It is very important to maintain the intent of healing the emotional issues between you. Our emotional body transcends the physical body, and anger, resentments and bitterness all carry through and must be healed. My husband has shown me that if the emotional work, and the traumas and issues are not healed on this plane, they will be addressed on the other side. They must, for harboring discordant energy prevents the soul from experiencing the freedom of formlessness. Emotional healing clears the path to enlightenment.

It is sometimes painful work, healing through the veils. Love energy is amplified to those of us on Earth suffering the loss of a Loved one. The goal is Forgiveness. The prize is Unconditional Love and Oneness.

According to studies done by Bill and Judy Guggenheim from www.after-death.com, an estimated 20% of Americans have some type of contact with loved ones after they have passed over. Americans are beginning to bridge the gap and speak openly of their experiences, while in many countries this is not only considered fairly normal and is openly accepted. The old energy that used to make folks feel odd or shunned is simply vanishing in the Light of Truth now that so many are coming forth. From both sides now, the goal is to bring Heaven on Earth. To reveal the non-sense of death. To reveal that life IS eternal.

Sometimes, people get scared or nervous at the idea of being contacted by a loved one who has passed over. After my mom passed on, my father was often upset to feel her nearby. He would feel her presence most often when he was cooking, for this was something they often enjoyed doing together. Or sometimes, he told me confidentially, he would find himself immersed in a conversation as if she were really there, only to later feel stupid that he was talking to himself. In fact, he HAD been talking to her! He was so worried that if he spoke to her or encouraged this communication he would somehow be holding her back. What he did not understand was that she simply loved him and only desired to be with him.

Imagine yourself, you have taken off the cloak of your physical body and now are in a formless state, seeking only to touch the one you love. The only thing that has changed about you is the removal of your body. The essence of Who You Really Are remains. Your feelings are enhanced; the power of Love that flows through you is as total and complete as your emotional body can handle. You make your presence known to someone, but they are scared of you. You are helpless to try and contact them, really, because they are a part of your soul family.

No matter. You will continue connecting with your Loved one in a different manner. You will connect with their Higher Self. That part of Self that seeks only to Love, Comfort, Heal, and Transcend. That part of Self which lives on the realms of Imag-I-Nation, the Lands of the Higher Self. You see, angels are simply angles of our selves. Often, when our Higher Self is contacted, we feel the connection too.

There actually is an energy of Fear to work through, for you see, something strong has been needed to keep the veils of Heaven separate from Earth. In-between both worlds is a separation layer. Because Earth is so polarity- based between Love and Fear, Fear is the filmy barrier separating us from enlightenment, Heaven, and spirit guides. Those that work with spirit, such as myself, have had to work through false illusions of Fear in order to perceive the Truth from the other side. This is a natural process in working with spirit. In the end, it is only the Fear of impending Joy.

My life has changed in so many ways since I have been working with my family through the veils. I learned to Love myself absolutely. How could I not? I had a family that is very aware of EVERYTHING I do now, and loves me no matter what. (Thank goodness they have a sense of humor!)

And speaking of humor, did you know that humor passes through the veils unchanged? While Love can be misinterpreted sometimes as longing, or melancholy, depending on your present frame of mind, humor passes through complete and whole. My mom has a trademark laugh, and when she tells me a joke and begins to laugh, well... I am helpless but to laugh right along with her. She and I often connect when I am in nature, for we have developed a new bond since her passing. Our bond is the Mother Earth. Or sometimes we will hold an image of sitting in a cafe together and let the conversation flow from there.

Whatever form, image, ideas you have of your loved ones on the other side can be used as a tool for communication. Do you visualize them in a certain setting? Are there smells or colors associated with them? Do certain activities bring them to mind? Are you being contacted in your dreams? This is a very powerful and clean way of communicating, and happens often. Do you suddenly feel a brush against your skin? Or perhaps a song wafts into your mind, bringing you a new message? Songs are excellent ways spirit speaks to us, for the messages also bring forth a feeling tone that bridges the gap into the Heart.

Songs go both ways, too. You can sing a song to your unseen beloved, telepathically and/or out loud. Believe me, they will hear it. Songs are amplified message carriers, carrying feeling tones along with the message.

Prayer, lighting a candle in the name of another, reading a favorite passage you both loved, walking along a favorite trail you both enjoyed - the methods and means of communication are endless. It takes practice, perseverance, and courage to bridge the gap, especially if there are emotional issues between you. If your feelings are strong and unforgiving, you may have difficulty being able to connect with someone on the other side until you come to terms with your own role in the drama. Keep in mind that free will reigns supreme. There is choice, and there is acceptance of that choice.

I had no issues with either my mom or my dad. My connection with my mother was effortless from the start. My dad seemed to have issues of his own to work through, and it took some time before we began communicating. Yet my husband and I, for all our hardships, struggles and difficulties still had one thing in common: An undeniable Love. The Heart wants what it wants, and because of that we were able to draw forth the strength to heal our wounds and continue to love each other, no matter what.

Before my husband passed on, he had chosen to live on the streets of a very large city. We were separated and I had moved away, having difficulty dealing with an alcoholic who could no longer control the addiction, and who was becoming more violent every day. Believe me, we had years of issues. I moved out, and he chose to live as the homeless, begging for money and subsistence, sleeping in parks and places of safe refuge. I cannot imagine what that was like. A few days after learning of his passing I spied a dime on the floor. Picking it up, the words, "Brother can you spare a dime?" came to mind, and I was flooded with complete and total love. Tears fell from my eyes as I felt his presence next to mine. I had no doubt the dime was from him.

Since then, there have been times when I will find an unexpected dime on the floor. I will pick it up and be swept in a wave of purest Love. I can sweep the floor clean, and then turn around and find one on the floor. Or vacuum my car, and then get in to find a dime on the seat. It always amazes me. I use this tool as a bridge to send him love, wondering all the while just how does he get those dimes to me? He just giggles and says, "It's magic!" And always, that one thin dime brings tears to my eyes, for so powerful is the touch of his love.

Recently, I was going through a lot of personal challenges. I was gifted with another unexpected dime, and I gained much strength knowing he was there, supporting me, thinking of me, and still playing games. I still have that dime on my kitchen table right now, and every time I hold it I feel his Love.

Our thoughts carry onward and are heard and felt, just like I feel and hear Kurt's thoughts at times. Don't get me wrong, it's not as if the channel is always open. Especially knowing what it was like to be here on Earth, privacy is sacred and interference not allowed. But when he is directing his thoughts towards me, if I am open and aware, I feel his love and receive images. When we began healing our woundedness, during the work day sudden images from the past would come to mind. He was reviewing them, re-creating them in a sort of holy-gram way. He was creating images with my Higher Self in order to work through issues and come to a state of forgiveness. Kind of like re-running an old tape in order to clear out the cobwebs. He could even create them differently and have a different outcome.

Sometimes these images struck a chord in me, and I would find myself crying and have to feel my "stuff". Sometimes these images only struck a chord in him, and I could feel his pain. "I Love you," I would say out loud. "Thank you," he would say. Or, "forgive me," he would blurt out, and I would feel him sobbing. Gosh, he worked so very, very hard to accept himself unconditionally.

Via meditation and inner spirit work, Kurt and I often connect in a very real and tangible way. Do you remember the movie 'Contact'? The beach scene where everything was somehow brighter, lighter, clearer? It is like that. And with practice, we are able to hold the vision longer.

Working with a mate through the veils is an honor. You already know and trust this person. They have the advantage of hide and seek. While you are a window for the Earth, they are the windows for Heaven and the realms of Imag-I-Nation. The Earth is deemed quite special. She is the Heart of the Universe. An emerald gem created from supreme Love. Earth IS our paradise. She is the manifestation of what we Love and Fear. If we allow, individually, to amplify Love wherever we go, we can (and do!) uplift this Earth and humanity. This is also one of the reasons our Loved ones seek to contact us. To help amplify Love onto the planet.

Our Loved ones seeking to communicate with us do not force, coerce, or threaten. It is a conscious choice. If you had the opportunity, wouldn't you try? Just as here on Earth you do not have to talk to anyone you don't want to, it is the same with contacting through the veils.

The sorrows we suffer from the loss of a Loved one end up being a tremendous gift. They carve the inner chasms of limit and belief until you are empty, without direction, seemingly lost. Ah, but if you choose to hold the hand of heaven, your emptiness will turn to great joy. There are treasures to be found in your garden sorrows, if you have the courage to talk to the worms.
