The New Paradigm of Leadership By Rene Lebeau A s a spiritual teacher and transitionist, I was asked to facilitate a metaphysical discussion group in February of 1999. By April, a small group began meeting weekly in a coffee house whose owners are committed to creating community. My guidance for directing this group came from both the angelic and guidance planes. The first meeting brought 7 people together to create a foundation from which to proceed. After this meeting, Archangel Michael suggested that I conduct this discussion group for 12 weeks as a series of workshops with chosen topics. The topics ranged from crystals, aromatherapy, angels, ayurvedic teas and the attitudinal correlation between our thoughts and dis-ease. We averaged a group size of 15 to 30 people and the real goal was to create a bridge between the old paradigm and the new. |

You will notice that I have not used the word
"lead" and that is intentional. Over the years, I
chose to remember that we are all our own leaders
and that all the answers reside within. The trick
is knowing and trusting the process to remove the
veils that separate us from our knowingness, our
Higher Self. The process or path you choose can
vary, however, the end result is the same. I call
it transcendence or ascension; others have called
it enlightenment, nirvana, heaven and so on.
The intent of this group of people that came together was to create an understanding from which we could say that we understood the basic premise of metaphysics; "that thought directs energy and energy follows thought". This is the simplest terms that I have found and this weekly group absorbed the information like sponges. When the 12 weeks was complete, I was guided to introduce the concept of learning by doing. The guidance realm found it amazing that humans resisted having their own experiences and chose to rely upon learning from others. I verbalized the intent and brought out a list of field trips and sign up sheets for each one. After all, it was summer and a good time to honor the seeds that had been planted and allow them to sprout and grow deep roots. All 6 trips had sprung from the previous 12 weeks of discussions and the group signed up for the events that interested them. At first the group was hesitant, especially when they realized that the field trips during the summer months would replace the weekly discussion groups. They looked at me like children who had all had their security blankets taken away and sent off to school. The field trips went well beginning in June and continued until September 9. This time frame coincided with some amazing planetary energy shifts which was no accident. By August, I knew it was time for me to exit as facilitator and introduce the new paradigm of leadership. I did this the first time that we reconvened at the coffee house and the group that was present gazed at me as though I was talking Russian or perhaps some unknown language. I attended the Lightworker trip to Cancun in September and I returned to the place I had left dramatically different. Things that I could only explain in terms of energy and intention had been set into motion. I facilitated a discussion group after my return and it was then that I truly appreciated the importance of the new paradigm and I agreed to hold it. In October, I reiterated the concept of everyone stepping into the role of leader, thus creating co-facilitation and leadership from the group's intent. The task would no longer fall on 1 person but be divided up amongst the many. Energetically and spiritually it made sense, however, I have been reminded for over 30 years that I am a pioneer and that no one is ready for these kind of changes. The group was now manifesting resistance to change which told me that my job was done. I exited as facilitator in November via a profound retirement speech which was channelled and it conveyed the thoughts from my heart. I then asked the group of 20 or more people to go around the room verbalizing their intent for this group. They did this and afterwards several people agreed to take a piece of the energy so that the discussion group would continue. I left that night knowing that we had come to a distinctly different place than where we began and I was proud of the work that we had all done. I knew that to continue on as facilitator would be fostering dependency and that was not something I could promote. Whether or not it was understood, I had to pass the torch on. From the planetary perspective, it is extremely important for all of us to honor the jobs we have and give it our best effort. What it takes for each person to travel within, honor their own path, recognize and acknowledge their inner voice varies greatly. I know I was lucky to have found such gifted teachers on my path as they all reinforced this idea. What I am sure of is that we have come too far to vacillate now and I am truly proud of the family of Michael to which I belong. Written by Renee S.
