I was born in the United States, but I have lived abroad since
1987 - first in England, and now in the Middle East. I am aware my time
here is winding down without any sense of new direction, and I am
trying not to feel unsettled by this, but instead to trust.

Incoming Soul represents a soul becoming embodied and making its way
to the Earth plane, accompanied by the “significant others” or archetypes in
the sacred contract. I remain perplexed by the turtle-like creature upon whose
back the soul appears to be carried, but I know it belongs.

...
I had to be spontaneous
I begin a painting by choosing the color energies that appeal to me in
the moment. Then I just start splashing them
on the canvas, with no agenda in mind.

I have never really ever been one thing, in terms of a profession or a career;
I have had many strings to my bow: teacher, writer, photographer, secretary,
housewife. Nor have I ever found the place where I belong, my pigeonhole.
So I wander and seek…

Art for me is more about experiencing creativity than art in the legitimate sense.
I am not formally trained, though at times I wish I were; there are moments
when I believe it would assist me in articulating the 'intuitive process' I use.
...
Eventually, I begin to see a picture emerging and once I find this
then it is my task to bring it through, much like a midwife ushers forth
a bright new life into this world, out of the silent darkness of the womb.

...then there was an accident with my brush
I made a stroke, knew it was wrong, then wiped it away with a sponge.
Some of the paint got left behind. And it was the paint that got left behind
that completed the picture. The blob left behind was part of a face elsewhere
in the picture. Instantly I knew the picture was about death/crossing over
and being ushered off the Earth plane. The reassurance of divine love
in this picture makes it a personal favourite.

This kind of world emerges in many of my paintings, where the universe is full
of sprites, devas, angels, etc – invisible to the naked eye but nevertheless
here and clearly perceptible from another dimension.
•
So as you see,
it was quite by accident that my paintings
and intuitive style of work emerged. As a result I've
come to recognize and appreciate the value in trusting
the natural unfolding of my life's processes.
•
My wish for you is held within the hope
that you too will equally trust in
the gift
of your own life's unfolding.
...For each of us is but the paint brush of love incarnate.
Most Affectionately,
~Genevieve~
