The brilliance of our experience on this world is life itself. Every human being, despite nationality, socio-political rank, sex, religious orientation or lack thereof, has the potential to achieve enlightenment. We all have the ability to dissolve our ego, to transcend and become one and become whole with the energy, the quiet divinity, within us and abounding around us. We all have the ability to discover the expanding universe within ourselves and to become one with the ultimate light of the absolute. Art is an essential vehicle for transcendence, both in describing this potential and in illuminating the visions and possibilities of the third eye.

I want to reopen our mind’s thirst for beauty and transcendence.

There is something about beauty that transcends and can overcome built up prejudices in this world. Where there is so much to become disappointed in, disheartened, angry and grief stricken about, we need all the beauty we can get.
M E D I T A T I O N t w o I believe that art has a responsibility on many levels. There are too many people who avoid art because they claim they can’t understand it. I believe this is fundamentally wrong. Art shouldn't be so elitist that it scares off the general public. Through imagery and the intricate nature of my work, I want to spark the holy fire that lies dormant in so many of us and to cast open the closed doors of the heart. Art needs to give unselfishly to the viewer opening up an appreciation for life with beauty, truth, goodness and love.
M E D I T A T I O N t h r e e I began making these tapestries in January 2004. You may view more at my website. I have always loved Tibetan Thangkas and they inspired me with the original idea. Thankgas are used as a guide to or record of meditation, generally depicting iconographic images in a pictorial way. Traditionally, it is rare that a master himself may create a thangka based on his own visions. However, that is exactly what I’m using them for (though I am no master). The images on the tapestries are taken from my meditations and visions. These are only a few of many.
