I'll set you a task
I can think this and that
I can split my thoughts
In two
Happy and sad
Take my intuition
try if you can
Split it in half
for you and me
If it is true
You will find
It's only one and does not split
Try this and that
try to saw in half
If you do
Inside each half
you find only me
One in all
Not the two
you thought

BLISS

One day
I was at last
a happy person
I thought just
for a little more
To really be
To get there
Happy and joyful
Just a little more
I did not know
I would never arrive
In this world
Happiness the carrot
On a stick
Attached to my mind
Ever distant destination
When I was
Happy and sad
At the same time
I had it all
And blissful
Contentment descended
So where was I
Happy and sad
A mythical destination
A fabled city
Of tales long ago
The long trail
Where the destination
Of happy or sad
Never arrives
To a point in between
Bliss to find it.

F R E E D O M

LIFE

Life is a dream
But not as we know it
Each particle makes
A different one
Each views a different part
Each mind interprets a different answer
The sum of each
Is left and right
Up and down
Basis of attraction
The root of conflict
Magnetic attraction
Conflicting repulsion
All adds together
To form zero
Everything and nothing
No opt out or secret passage
Only to pass through it
With the Love of knowledge
Of one and all
Toe the line within
To reach the
End and the beginning
The true and the real
Only God knows

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Peter Caswell is an international artist. His work is displayed in collections in the U.S., India and Australia. As an habitual traveler his work is heavily influenced by adventurous trips around the globe to fuel his inspiration and to refresh and diversify his work. Since the 1980's he has built up an extensive collection of photographs, previously sold at his gallery in the ancient city of York England together with a series of sculptures.

Following an extensive period of contemplation and travels in India, Peter has moved to reproduce his experiences and feelings in the media of Oil painted on canvas combined with a series of poems and writings. These works explore life through the concepts of God, Infinity and the everything and the nothing.
