Which
sailor was it who, when journeyed far from home met the siren?
Failing
to cover his ears, unbound from mast, moans beckoned sweetly.
Focused
solely on her, he dove deep to unknown places within.
Her lure
was himself, seared, reflected, all he owned, beginning then.
Did he
find himself immersed and breathing great tomes of inner light?
What new
life was conjured from sparkling, moist loam of fertile mind?
She was
only phantom breath to set the tone and lead him well
To ports
of call within his being, sailing home - finally beloved.
