Sound Advice

WELCOME BACK EVERYONE! My name is Barry Goldstein and I will be your vibrational guide in this re-occurring column and I am so happy to share "Sound Advice" that can assist you in empowering your self and creating energetic balance in your life!

Each month we will give our readers tools to move through existing blocks by using sound, vibration and music. In this segment we focus on how we can use sound and vibration to relieve stress, move back into rhythm and clear negative energy. This week I will give you three basic techniques that will connect you with the power of sound within! Although quite simple they are very powerful:

1. The Sound of Ahh
   Take a deep slow breath in. Feel the air gently filling you and as you exhale envision anything that has been creating stress in your life exiting as you release the word Ahh. Feel the release and a new lightness begin to fill your being. Take another deep breath doing the same thing. This time visualize yourself inhaling love and as you exhale release any negative energy you are holding with an even bigger Ahh. Feel a new clarity come in with each breath. Take one more breath in again, bringing the energy of love in and exhaling a larger release with the word Ahh. This exercise releases a lot of tension held in the Solar Plexus area. It is also telling your body that you are taking an active role in creating harmonic balance by using sound as a catalyst to relieve stress. Call on this exercise when you are feeling the stress of your day.
2. Snapping Your Fingers
   Very often in our day we fall out of sync or rhythm with ourselves. Take a minute to put on a piece of music that you really love. We all have pieces of music that are in our lives that create instantaneous shifts. I call these Musical Pinnacles, Songs that define our life. By listening to these songs they connect us with our joy within. You probably already know what song this is for you. Put this song on and begin to snap you fingers to it. As you do allow yourself to feel the rhythm connecting with your heart. Feel it connecting with the joy within. Feel yourself connecting and synchronizing with your inner joy! Rock on!
3. Clapping Hands
   Clapping hands can be very useful to break up energy. In many cultures people do not applause because the sound of clapping breaks the reverence or energy of the performance. We can use clapping to break up negative energy that has accumulated in areas. Whether in the physical body or a physical room, clapping can create a release of recent negative energy. For example have you ever been in a room where there was an uncomfortable situation. It feels very thick. When the room is clear of the persons involved, clap your hands. Feel the shift of the negative energy releasing. Again take deep breaths in and release love into the room as you exhale. Embrace the sound healer you are!

Born in 1953 to Irish, Danish inheritance, Ms. Clabby grew up in the New England coastal town of Mystic, CT. with seven other siblings. Thanks to a Mother who sometimes referred to GOD as "She", and a Father whose spirit was unmatched (in many ways), Colleen's path was open to explore.

It was during the year of 1987, however, when a most provocative divine thought changed her course of action. It was about the "how to" healing of the human body system, the remembrance that we can heal ourselves, specifically through color, sound & vibration. It was also the year that her Mother had been diagnosed with cancer.

Guided by that divine memory it became the single motivating factor in her life and she traveled all over the world seeking ways to understand just how that worked. She formed a company called Mystical Road Productions. Greatly inspired by heavenly friends, & her own Mother’s call from the beyond, (she died in 1995), the CD, "Windfall of Life" was created. A most exquisite composition, it is a musical love story which speaks to the personal transformation of Colleen's Mother as well as to grieving family & friends.

Colleen's dream of building a unique healing center - and incorporating that divine thought of one's own healing ability - is becoming a reality as she redesigns her home to make ready for people who want to come.

Having come full circle herself, Colleen is back home in Mystic CT., where she is busy putting the center together, keeping in mind that the highest frequency known out to be to mankind is the frequency of Love which turns the greatest natural healer of them all!
