WELCOME BACK EVERYONE! My name is Barry Goldstein and I will be your vibrational guide in this re-occurring column and I am so happy to share "Sound Advice" that can assist you in empowering your self and creating energetic balance in your life!

Each month we will give our readers tools to move through existing blocks by using sound, vibration and music. In this segment we focus on how we can use sound and vibration to relieve stress, move back into rhythm and clear negative energy and empower ourselves.

The Power Of Love
Although we hear and use the word love so frequently are we actually connecting to the energy of love? Love is a perhaps the most powerful energy we have to work with in the healing process!

Today we will connect to this energy by chanting the word LOVE. Take a deep breath in and bring in a memory or experience that brings this essence in, It could be a beautiful butterfly or a picture of a child playing with a puppy. As you bring this vision in bring your hands to your heart. This allows you to move out of the mental process and connect with the love within you. As you connect with this energy, allow yourself to chant the word love. The same way you would chant OHM. As you bring your breath in visualize that you are bringing the word love in through the top of your head (Crown Chakra). As you continue the tone of Love, let it move throughout your body. Become cognizant of what areas it moves through with grace and ease and what areas feel blocked. Create the intention of LOVE moving through these blocked areas. Continue this process and use the original visual to keep in connection with the energy of love. As you chant the word you are becoming your own Sound Healer allowing the sound of the word love to scan blocked areas and release energy that no longer serves you. As you release you can now attune to a higher frequency: LOVE!

Envision

International GrandMother Drum Peace Project

The GrandMother Drum is a living, beating symbol from the hearts of the grandmothers that we are all one people, that Mother Earth is our one country, that love is stronger than fear and that peace and freedom are the birthrights of all humanity. The drum is the centerpiece of creating celebrations that honor the unique gifts and spiritual traditions of the diverse cultures of the human family with the theme: The Heartbeat of One Family, One Earth.

The dynamic multicultural performances share an explosive mix of thundering primal rhythms, irresistible music and dance. The largest drum of its kind in the world, the GrandMother Drum took over a year to construct, and has over 1300 strips of wood, two hundred crystals inlaid in its kettle base and is covered by one giant buffalo hide. The Grandmother Drum has traveled worldwide sharing culture, promoting cross-cultural awareness, healing and reconciliation.

White Eagle Medicine Woman (Suraj Holzwarth) is the director of the International GrandMother Drum Peace Project and the Drum Keeper of the seven foot Grandmother Drum, the largest crystal inlaid medicine drum in the world. She is an international performance artist of Seneca and Celtic descent. Her CDs include Journey of the Heart and Songlines of the Soul.
