| WE STILL LIVE in a world in which wars, disasters and diseases prevail in spite of the many churches, religions, peace organisations and Nobel prizes for peace. Peace develops there where harmony exists within a human being and, consequently, with his or her surroundings. Since humankind is becoming more alienated from itself the word peace is taking on an ever more bitter undertone. What is wrong with this planet, why are the misery and the threat of war only increasing? When
you think about peace, you automatically associate it with something
good. When you think about war, the word evil immediately springs to
mind. But what is good and what is evil? In order to create true harmony
we will have to become aware of the meaning of these polarities. What,
to one person, is good, to another is not good and vice versa.
Everything that you encounter in the NOW you have already encountered before. A new solution is required, however, in order to find harmony within yourself, with the other, and with totality. Each pressure that becomes too strong creates a cosmic disturbance that requires harmonisation. Know that you can never lose the essence of who you are and what feels right to you. If we truly want peace on earth, then we will have to change our way of thinking. It is no use holding on to old values or to that which is written in the Bible if we interpret it in the wrong way. In order to open new doors, we should not close the doors we have already passed through. We should, however, try to gain a wider perspective of values. Therefore, if the new is to replace the old it does not per definition mean that the new is better than the old, or vice versa. What matters is that we change our ways and broaden our horizons. Humankind has clearly become alienated from itself. We still put the blame for the wars and disasters that are taking place outside ourselves. Let us see the error of our ways and realise that everything, each and every thing, has an impact on ourselves, and that we alone are responsible for what we create. Let us also be mindful of the fact that if we do not change our ways, we will continue to create in a negative way. We should become aware that the true Light can only be found within our Self and that our life should be based on and lived according to this principle. It is, in fact, a very simple truth, but because the majority of people think that humankind is helpless against invisible forces and powers that are affecting the earth, there seems to be no way out! Therefore, it is very important that we work on becoming conscious, and that we all come to realise that each of us plays a key role here on earth and that we alone are responsible for our actions.
So as to gain a broader understanding of what is happening around us,
it is important that we stop denying our spiritual nature. Our soul
longs to pursue its own way without being hindered by the opinions of
others. This is not easy if our lives are ruled by what others expect
of us. Rules that go against our own spiritual nature are precisely
the reason why the world is slowly but surely degenerating and becoming
a darker place. All human beings are equal and there is no need to worship
gods or become the followers of gurus. No one is better than another.
We will be able to grasp the true meaning of this once we look within
ourselves and stop placing everything outside of us. © Guido
