| HAVE YOU EVER STOOD on a crowded subway train or sat in a traffic jam, wishing that you could escape to an island of tranquility or to a spa where you would be pampered and allowed to "just let go"? Well, you can.
The software arrived during the hectic holiday season, and just looking at the packaging was a reminder that I needed to make time for myself and relaxation as the New Year began. I have experienced both previous offerings from the Wild Divine project, so thought this might be something similar, but it was not. Whereas the previous products were journeys into a fantasy world, and moving through a series of events in order to be aware of how we handle stress, Healing Rhythms™ is a healing spa experience that we might have if we were going to an actual $500 a day retreat.
With Healing Rhythms™ I had the choice of a guided training program, or an unstructured approach, with the option to shift between the two at any time. The Guided Training program consists of 15 steps that are divided into three sections. The first focuses on Self Discovery, and covers quieting the mind, observing our thoughts, finding inner balance, releasing physical tension, cultivating positive emotions, and revealing our inner wisdom. Once we've completed these processes, which are hosted by some of the leading authorities in the health and wellbeing movement today, we move to the next section, Creating Happiness. Here we take a step-by-step approach to subduing our inner critic, opening ourselves to others, practicing compassion, discovering gratitude, and connecting to something outside ourselves where we can bring our gifts and service to others.
The final portion of the spa experience is focused on Developing Life
Skills. We learn how to set our intentions, the importance of taking
daily supplements for better health, Side benefits of these explorations include an actual biofeedback tracking system that monitors our heart rate and skin response as we do the exercises. The sleekly designed biofeedback unit has an alternating rainbow of colors and is much smaller and sexier than the previous light stones used in the first two Wild Divine offerings.* Another marvelous addition is a journal within the program where we can write our observations after doing the exercises. The journal is maintained in a special file for our review, and the exercises are provided to give us an opportunity to practice what we've learned. Another intriguing aspect is that as we are being taught, the scenery changes from dawn to dusk as various birds fly by unexpectedly. The water ripples, and soft background music completes the serene environment, where we can stay as long as we want. An added bonus is a very well presented booklet that gives suggestions and tells about the step-by-step process we will undergo.
In total, Healing Rhythms™ is a premium package. You will not
find this anywhere else, as it is the result of many years of planning,
staging, and fine-tuning. It has my highest recommendation, and I suggest
to anyone who works in a stress filled environment to give this to yourself
as a gift. For more information, contact the Wild Divine Project at www.wilddivine.com or click on the image just above. *
