JUNE'S FIRST THREE Moon phases express mutable energy that we can use to transform our spring projects. The May lunar cycle concludes with cardinal energy, which we can utilize to initiate summer projects.

FIRST QUARTER MOON
The First Quarter Moon occurs on June 3rd at 5:07pm MDT in Virgo. It brings forth the theme of knowing what to say and when to say it. We may experience situations getting out of control as those around us get carried away with the energy of the situation. And, we can resolve situations and bring back equilibrium to all involved by accepting we have the charisma and talent to do so.

Home & Garden – We can join with this waxing Moon on the 5th/6th and 9th/10th for interior decorating projects, and, on the 8th/9th to move house. Our gardening efforts this quarter will be most productive from the 5th - 9th. Annuals that produce aboveground with seeds inside the fruit, such as beans, melons, peppers, squash and tomatoes are best planted on June 9. We can also mow lawns this quarter to increase growth.

Mind, Body & Health – The First Quarter Moon is a superb time to seek misplaced addresses or phone numbers and to allow spontaneous solutions to health problems.

Business & Finance - This quarter in the lunar cycle is when we are most likely to experience challenges to our plans and projects. The key is to anticipate and prepare for us to successfully overcome them. It is generally a good time to launch advertising ventures.

MOON IN VIRGO
Virgo is associated with practicality and resourcefulness, which is often expressed through service. With its attunement to sacred patterns, Virgo shines when it is serving the greater good. The Moon in Virgo guides us to evaluate how we can choose a line of work that encourages emotional attunement to details. And, it shows us what needs work; thereby, affording the opportunity to inspire understanding, avoid blame, and cultivate compassion.

Home & Garden – We can employ the Virgo Moon's inclination toward ultra-cleanliness to tackle cleaning bathrooms and medicine cabinets. This Moon is of a dry and barren nature that does not support planting, thus it is best to direct our energy into routine garden chores such as pruning and soil cultivation.

Mind, Body & Health – The Virgo Moon reveals how anxiety and worries can create discomfort and disease in the intestines. We can alleviate this impact on our bodies by going to the deeper issues and releasing our mental struggles. Where we have been feeling overwhelmed and impatient we can focus on becoming more peaceful in our daily routine and remember to acknowledge he extraordinary in the simple things in life. Joining a health club, cuddling our pets, eating healthily, and unwinding with a walk in the countryside are excellent ways to promote increased wellness. We must endeavour to avoid fussing over detail. As well, our susceptibility to irritability, gastric or dietary upsets, and tension headaches, is increased under this Moon's influence.

Business & Finance – We can apply the Virgo Moon to practical demonstrations and reorganizing. We have and increased eye for detail under a Virgo Moon and can purchase personal organizers, a local health club subscription, vitamin supplements, and/or cleaning materials on shopping expeditions. Although we are well advised to beware other's fussiness, we also ought to avoid allowing excessive self-criticism to harm our creativity and confidence.

FULL MOON
June's Full Moon occurs on the 11th at 6:04pm MDT in Sagittarius. It reveals situations where people are pretending to be more in control or smarter than they actually are and how sometimes such emulation can lead to actualization and a consciousness shift. Although there are rewards inherent in make-believe, we are reminded that there are dangers when we do not want to see what is going on, or prefer a pretend scenario to real life.

Full Moon Focus: Remain aware of stress that comes from over-stretching our limits as a journey reaches its destination. Seek ways to expand our inner knowledge and wisdom as well as contribute to planetary healing.

Home & Garden - The Full Moon phase is recommended to lay the foundation of a new house. This is an excellent time to plant root crops including beets, carrots, onions, potatoes.

Mind, Body & Health – A Full Moon affords us the opportunity to see things from other people's point of view, and is when others become aware of what we are doing. This Moon's high energy can be positively channeled into a party where we can discharge the extra etheric tension by dancing, physical action, and/or creative work.

Business & Finance – This time of culmination and fruition allows us to see the results of our efforts. We can plan to go on study courses and draw up new agendas.

MOON IN SAGITTARIUS
Sagittarius encourages exploration of the meaning of life. It is the life energy in all of us that is devoted to diversity. The Moon in Sagittarius guides us to discern how as travelers we have discovered that home is everywhere, and, how we have created expansive spaces (through light or spatial arrangements) in our home.

Home & Garden – We can direct Sagittarius Moon energy into crafty projects like sewing pillows. With its semi-barren and dry nature, a Sagittarius Moon is a splendid time for soil cultivation, mowing and harvesting.

Mind, Body & Health – This fiery Moon is a wonderful time to bring joy, creativity and adventure into our life and we can work with it to draw luck and play back to us, particularly if we have been feeling stuck, depressed or too intense. We can generate energy on many levels under a Sagittarius Moon's influence utilizing drumming, singing, and chanting to warm our body, circulate our blood and chi as we activate and draw power from our roots and extend it outward. We must avoid boredom and overconsumptive behaviors. Our vulnerability to frustration, anger, and irritability from over taxing our liver, and putting on weight increases under this Moon's influence.

Business & Finance – A Sagittarius Moon is advantageous for business meetings, legal matters, and correspondence. This is a brilliant time to buy travel books, camping equipment, relics or religious items, and/or anything secondhand. We are judicious to beware of other people's carelessness and wise to avoid financial irresponsibility.

THIRD (LAST) QUARTER MOON
The Third Quarter Moon occurs June 18th at 8:09am MDT in Pisces. It allows us to gain an expanded perspective of the past six months as we move into summer on June 21st. Now is the time to reap the benefits of the work that's been done while situations are ripe and full of fruition. We can take some time out to celebrate our achievements, what we have and, to connect with family and loved ones.

Home & Garden – The week following the Third Quarter Moon is an excellent time to thoroughly clean closets and basements and release clutter from our home. This is the optimal time in the lunar cycle for destroying pests, weeding, and pruning.

Mind, Body & Health – This period of diminishing energy is a time for retreat and review when we can rest and recuperate.

Business & Finance – The Third Quarter Moon is an assessment time and we can look back at what we've done to see where we can make improvements. It is an excellent time to restructure and prepare to implement new projects during the New Moon phase.

MOON IN PISCES
Pisces is associated with spiritual cleansing and renewal. It creates the possibility to move beyond self into transcendence which is a world of dreams and faith. The Moon in Pisces beckons us to intuit how our happiness hinges directly on our ability to follow our dream, and, how our emotional sensitivity informs us of where we feel at home. Under its influence, we learn by listening deeply with our whole soul.

Home & Garden – This is a good Moon to focus our cleaning efforts on laundry and the kitchen. The Pisces Moon's fertile and moist nature is very fruitful and productive. During this waxing phase, we can work with it to plant root crops.

Mind, Body & Health – The Pisces Moon is an optimal time to detoxify. We can allocate some quiet time to be gentle with ourselves and spend time with younger people to help dispel any depressed feelings. This is a terrific time to drink lots of water, avoid pollutants and sweat to purify our body. And, we can nourish ourselves with some reflexology while we listen to our favourite music; however, we must avoid feeling inadequate. In addition, our vulnerability to physical and mental sensitivity as well as feet problems increases during a Pisces Moon.

Business & Finance – The Pisces Moon is an opportune time to take-stock and to repair equipment. We can shop for cosmetics, shoes and hosiery, artist's materials, bedding and swimwear under this Moon's influence. While we ought not to make major purchases, we also benefit when we avoid illogical reasoning.

NEW MOON
The New Moon occurs June 25th at 10:06am MDT in Cancer. It can attune us to central issues of what is going on and what old values require reassessment. Where we are in power struggles, there might be a desire to justify to the other what should be done and why. Alternatively, we may realize that bullying and bickering are very time consuming and useless as we strive to turn the tables where someone or something is trying to gain an unfair advantage against a weaker opponent.

New Moon Visualizations:

I want to share my happiness and joy with every member of my family.
I want to build sound foundations upon which to construct my life.
I want to reach a profound understanding
of what it means to belong to the family of Man.
I want to nourish my soul as I nourish those I love.
I want to feel a connectedness with my ancestral roots.

Home & Garden – June 26th to July 9th is considered the best time to move house this lunar cycle, with June 28th/29th and July 5th/6th the most favourable days. The New Moon phase's increased lunar gravity and moonlight creates balanced root and leaf growth. Annuals are best planted, and, grafting is best done during this lunar phase.

Mind, Body & Health – The New Moon is the most active, primitive and impulsive phase. We can begin new projects and have beauty treatments.

Business & Finance – This phase is a time for new initiatives that supports introducing new ideas, making new contacts, and commencing new deals.

MOON IN CANCER
Cancer symbolizes the sheer tenacity of the life force. It is the quintessential sign of nurturance - of family, home, roots, and tradition. The Moon in Cancer allows us to feel how we have made our house, our home, and our food vitally important components of our happiness
.

Home & Garden – This is considered the optimal time sign in which to buy a house. We can clean the windows, china, silver and crystal; rearrange the furniture; and, cook an old family recipe to channel Cancer Moon energy. Its fertile and moist nature is very fruitful, thus, this is the best time to sow plants and flowers for hardiness and abundance; to plant all mosses; and, to plant watery vegetables and fruits. We can also water the garden well during a Cancer Moon.

Mind, Body & Health – A Cancer Moon is a tremendous time to help heal rifts and past hurts with our family. Because it can help us feel a greater degree of emotion than usual, this can be a beneficial time to process anything that is stagnant in us or creating stress and worry, which can upset our digestive system. We can connect with our ancestry and have a visit with our parents; although we do best to avoid meddling in other people's affairs. Worry, moodiness, stomach upset and skin problems tend to increase under a Cancer Moon and it is an excellent time for us to focus our attention on the desire to heal or take action to restore health to these areas.

Business & Finance – The Cancer Moon is conducive to setting up a childcare business and for ending unsatisfactory conditions. On shopping excursions focus on essentials, buying food, kitchen equipment, knick-knacks, antiques, card and presents, and/or anything white or silver for the home and loved ones. We must avoid where possible shopping near our place of work; being over-sensitive to criticism; and, a reluctance to take risks.

This is a dynamic transitional month as we move from spring to summer and consummate the journey begun in late December at the winter solstice with the late June summer solstice. These solstice times are the two major turning points in the yearly dance of Light and Dark, simultaneously marking culminations and beginnings. The Moon demonstrates the dance of light and dark each month through the fluid transition from phase to phase. We can use the Moon to illuminate energetic cycles within each season and attune our efforts to cosmic forces.
