A very special letter to our Spanish audience

Dear Readers:

Over the years my email from those readers in Central and South America, the Caribbean and Spain, in other words those readers from the Spanish speaking world, has continued to increase until it exceeds the amount of mail I receive in English. Many years ago, I was fluent in Spanish, but have not made use of it with any regularity for nearly 30 years, so I have become increasingly hesitant to read and answer these letters in Spanish. The issues in the letters are just too personal and too important, as we are often discussing those things that affect someone’s very life. I no longer want to run the risk of using a wrong word, not understanding something well enough or even of offending a reader, so I now have a team of Spanish translators who will help me. At this time, my main translator is Gilda Tangtam, with additional assistance coming from Vicky Ruiz, Adriana Minino and Enita Zirnis. When I receive the letter, I will forward it to the translator. When she returns the English version to me, I will write my response in English, then have it translated into Spanish before forwarding it to the questioner.

I cannot tell you how thrilled I am at the way this is evolving. I have always had a special attachment to the Spanish speaking world and have a daughter who was born in the Dominican Republic. The interest, the passion and the loyalty of these readers is a great honor, so I want to return the honor. Thank you. We are going to not only translate your letters, but begin to translate some of the articles for your reading pleasure.

Many of the letters I receive are about the Crystal Children. I’m not sure what that means! Please see a Spanish translation of my article Attributes of the Crystal Children at http://www.geocities.com/elclubdelosninosindigo/Atributos.html . This article is translated by my friend Jose Manuel Piedrafita Moreno and is found on his Indigo website http://www.geocities.com/elclubdelosninosindigo/Atributos.html. Also, Manuel is also the author of a book titled Indigo Child, Educating in the New Vibration.

The attributes article is also translated in the very popular book entitled La Conciencia Indigo Presente Futuro, published by the INDI_GO foundation in Ecuador. Please go to http://conates.tripod.com.ve/ninos_indigo/id42.html for more information on this book as well as much other useful information including links.

The first issue of a new magazine for Indigos called Revista Amerika Indigo came out in October of 2003. You can subscribe and download the first two issues at http://www.manantialcaduceo.com.ar/libros.htm

Please share with us what is happening in your part of the world. Tell us about groups, classes, websites, books, activities. Are there any online communities where New Children can gather, be supported, etc? If not, I would love to hear about one of you reading this who will at least start a message board in Spanish. We will put a link to it so that others can find you. As I explore Jose Manuel’s website, I see that he has message boards and contacts for each Spanish speaking country at http://communities.msn.es/PlanetaIndigo and http://es.groups.yahoo.com/group/elclubdelosninosindigo.

So, thank you for finding us, thank you for your interest and your loyalty. Thank you for being on the planet and thank you for caring enough to reach out, to search and to ask.

God bless, Sharyl

Carta a Nuestros Lectores Hispano Hablantes.

http://www.geocities.com/elclubdelosninosindigo/Atributos.html.

Sharyl

How can I instill a work ethic in my Indigo?

Dear Sharyl:

I have noticed with my 23 year old son, who I believe to be Indigo, that he has very little drive to achieve, to make money. What can we do to instill in him a bit more of a work ethic, of the desire to achieve. These kids can't be “taken care of” forever.

Thanks for your time,
Dolores

Dear Dolores:

Well, thank you for having the courage to ask a tough question. I see and hear many “adults” alluding to the same thing. Let us remember that Indigos are the ones who have agreed to be the “systems busters” and as such they are not going to buy into an existing system that is in need of change. My experience is that Indigos are not unmotivated or lacking in interest to achieve, but they are unwilling to work for the same things and in the same way as nonindigos have in the past. For the most part, it doesn't occur to them to try to make money for the sake of making money nor is greed part of their makeup. I am not saying that they adhere to the idea of “vows of poverty” consciousness either. What I have seen if I watch quietly and patiently enough and if I get out of the way, in the case of my own children, is that Indigos want to feel passion for what they do, they want to be inspired and to follow the work of their hearts. What a concept, huh? I often remind people that it has been said that Indigos usually don't find that “work of the heart” until they are 26 or 27, which can be a long time for parents who wonder if their son or daughter is ever going to grow up, be responsible and become part of society. Once my son found his passion, he became increasingly creative in finding new ways to not only make money at it, but in ways to apply it. If you can hang in their long enough, if you can be willing to allow this very unique unfoldment, if you can face your own fears about whether you were a good parent, if you can suspend your idea of what success is, then you might be pleasantly surprised at just what might make your son's heart sing.

In the meantime, if you are supporting your son, you have every right to insist that he either be in school, have some sort of job, contribute to the home and family in whatever ways you and he decide are appropriate.

If you can, hold the space in your heart and mind for your son to find his reason for being here, to find lifework that is fulfilling as well as in line with the new energy that is moving here.

I am sure that you have done just fine!!

Love and blessings, Sharyl

How can I protect my unborn child?

Dear Sharyl:

I am pregnant with my first child, so really want to do everything right, of course. Quite severe food allergies are on both sides of the family and I have heard that so many of the new children have allergy problems. What advice can you give which might help prevent my unborn child from having allergies?

Thank you,
Anna

Dear Anna:

What a good question! I am not a doctor or health practitioner, but I am an old mom who had a very similar situation with my now grown children. One of the things that is often not said is that many food allergies seem to be avoidable early on. Again, I am old fashioned and firmly believe in the wisdom of breast feeding without supplementing, which will give your newborn the best possible start. Start solid foods very late (after six months of age) and only one new food a week, so you will know if your child has a reaction. You can immediately withdraw the food from the diet and allow the digestive system to mature a bit more. Perhaps a few months later you can reintroduce the food and see what happens. I used this method very successfully with all of my children. There is a very old book called The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding by La Leche League which can still be found if you look around. This book was a godsend to me 30 years ago when breastfeeding was not very encouraged and it will help you with knowing which foods should be introduced in what order for greatest benefit.

Thanks for your question and God bless you all………….what a lucky ?? baby to have you for a mom.

Help! I can't keep up with my Crystal child!

Dear Sharyl:

This may sound like a trivial question, but it is one that has bothers me a lot. My thirteen month old son is an absolute delight in virtually every way and I am quite certain that he is one of the Crystal Children. We are very, very conscious of keeping his environment as toxin-free as we can and for the most part it has worked. He is active, happy and a joy to behold. I have never seen you discuss the Crystal Children being unusually active, especially in the way of climbing on things. I cannot keep up with my son!! The things that he does are downright dangerous…….what do I do?

Love and light,
Rose

Dear Rose:

Oh, my goodness, you have reminded me of so much! I did not realize that this climbing stuff is one of the attributes of the Children of Crystal Vibration until just now. So much of my knowledge about this group of kids is a result of parenting my son Trevor who is now 28 years old. I hope the readers don't get tired of hearing about him, but he is my main frame of reference. He walked very early and was so very physical in every way. If he was awake, he never stopped exploring his physical limits and abilities, and he continues to this day to do so on a daily basis. One of my jokes when he was little was, “If you can't find Trevor, look to the highest point on the horizon and you will find him.” I could be a roof, a tree, a fence or any kind of climbing structure, even the sides of walls.

You will drive yourself and your son crazy if you try to limit his need for climbing and exploring and pushing himself to his personal limits. It is really not as dangerous as it appears……..he will actually be safer without you hovering or worrying. There were times I just asked the angels to watch, surrounded my kids with light and turned my back. In actuality, each of my kids is exceptionally gifted physically. Not only are they gifted, but they are also confident, rarely hurt themselves even as small children.

Anyway, I get carried away, but I just thought that Trevor's insatiable climbing was his personal thing. I never really thought of it as a crystal attribute, so thank you for the reminder.

Merry Christmas,
Sharyl
