Sharyl Jackson is Section Editor for CHILDREN OF THE NEW EARTH. Thank you for sharing your wonderful insights into Indigo Children. I am raising one 18 year old daughter, 15 year old son and am now almost 5 months pregnant with my next one. This has been a much more conscious conception and pregnancy, having been created with the IVF technology and some wonderful hospital staff, healers, friends and families. I feel truly blessed to have this joy in my life.

Hi Sharyl,

I would love for you to check out a website for the Sudbury Valley School. This website will link you with many other websites and schools around the country and world that are perfect schools for the new Indigo and coming Crystal children that are coming in. The site is address www.sudval.org. The school was founded in 1968 by Danial Greenberg. They have several books out which you can order online.

I am a special education teacher now working in a public school setting and am saddened by the way many of these kids are forced to be medicated to fit into the structure of the system. What happens to their self esteem is another story for another time. The ones whose parents won't go the med route have a hard time fitting in to the structured system. I know there is a better way because before working in public school I started in a private school. I hope you feel the site is worth while.

I read your article on Conscience Birthing and it reminded be of the Lakota ceremony, Heyoksha, where you gain a family member not by birth but by choice. You claim a person and with their consent they are your family for life. They are a part of your clan.

I will be happy to provide you with information on Camp. I will give you the info as it unfolds. Right now the camp is in the Klamath Falls area and is to be a Spiritual Summer Camp. It is called 7 Generations Dancing. It is a place of Sacred Ceremony to give people the direct experience of Spirit/God and spiritual family. Another focus is to re-connect youth with their Earth Mother and their relations upon her, the plants and animals. There will be Sweat Lodges, Vision Quests, and Sacred Dances. Some of the sacred dances are Spiral Feather Dance, Long Dance, Drum Dance, Sun-Moon Dance, True Self Dance, and more.

To paraphrase Beautiful Painted Arrow, I teach that by dancing, we dance back in time; to a time before people received their religious ideas, Native American included, to that place in Universal Wisdom. I value keeping a connection to the Source of Beauty, this Source that only wants to love us awake. It is my right as a planetary citizen to love God in my personal ceremonial ways. No one on the planet is doing these ceremonies in the precise way that I am doing them. These ceremonies are dedicated to bringing world peace. I do these ceremonies differently than other people for I have received an inner calling from the new children of this planet. They are calling for something different, as well as the times we are in they too call for new medicine. It is this new medicine that I listen to and follow, this global medicine, rainbow medicine. I choose to honor all paths and all tradtitions for all have light to share and be woven into the tapestry of humanity. This can give you a feeling of where I am.

  Dear Sharyl,

I am learning about Indigo children, and am hoping someday to work with them and/or their parents or teachers. Currently I teach preschool children with special needs. Is there any way I can tell if any of the children in my classes are Indigo? They are 3--5 years old.

Dear Lissa:

Thanks for your question and thanks for the work you do. I have not heard much about the Indigos with special needs, but my best guess is that many of them are, because most children who are that age are Indigos. You can probably best tell by looking into their eyes....do they seem older, wiser? And you can so-o-o connect with them through the eyes. They are also very loving and helpful to each other, especially when another is having a problem, is upset or needs comforting. They also will simply not be manipulated, coerced or made to feel guilty. There is a confidence evident that I certainly didn't have as a small child.

Keep in touch and let us know what you observe as well as telling us any useful techniques you have learned for best assisting these wonderful children.
