As editor of the Children of the New Earth section, I receive many wonderful letters often asking very similar questions about the phenomenon of the new types of children. Following is my attempt to answer the most common questions IN MY OPINION and to the best of my knowledge at this time. My information continues to evolve, as do human beings as evidenced by these waves for children.

Who are the Children of the New Earth?

Many names are emerging at this time including Indigo Children, Blue Ray, Violet Ray, Psychic Children, Children of Oz and Children of the Crystal Vibration, to name just a few of the more popular ones. In general, it is believed that children are being born with new abilities and attributes, representing the next evolutionary steps for humankind.

Who are the Indigo Children?

They are known as the "systems busters," and as such will be one of the main reasons that antiquated systems on the earth are beginning to be dismantled, to change. These children are presently affecting the way we parent and the way we educate. As more of them reach adulthood, they will foster new paradigms in business, government, religion, etc. The Indigo Children will not participate in the"—ism’s" such as racism, sexism, etc., because these ideas do not make sense to them. The most common thing that I hear from the older Indigos is, "I don’t feel like I belong here!"

When did the Indigos begin to incarnate?

That is the question of the day! They were first noticed in the early 1980’s by the indigo life color in their auric field. However, I personally know Indigos born as early as 1960, and I often receive letters from Indigos born earlier than that, so it seems as if they have been around for 50 years or so. I believe there have always been a few, but the "pure Indigos" were not born until after 1987. The early ones were forerunners, setting the energy and gradually infusing the indigo color.

What are the attributes of an Indigo Child?

I will not attempt a list here as others have already done so and done it well! The pioneers of information on the Indigos are Jan Tober and Lee Carroll, and you will find their list of common characteristics at http://www.indigochild.com/ by scrolling down the page. Are these children special?

Every human is special, but no more so than any other human. Many people call the new children special, but I personally do not think it serves to do so. Singling them out in this manner raises criticism from others who say that "specialness" creates separation. As we debate whether or not they are special or when the first ones were born, we miss the point. The Truth is that the new children are being born because the Oneness has called them forth. There will be different groups of children to fulfill the various needs as these needs arise, each group similar, but yet unique.

How do I know if I am an Indigo?

Read through the attributes, but keep in mind that no list is all-inclusive, nor does any Indigo exhibit every attribute. The simplest answer is that if you resonate with this material, you are an Indigo or you have an Indigo Child or both!

Are there books written about the children?

Yes, my personal favorites are two books by Lee Carroll and Jan Tober called Indigo Children and Indigo Celebration as well as one by Dr. Doreen Virtue titled The Care and Feeding of an Indigo Child.

Who are the Psychic Children?

Also known as the Children of Oz, these children have been brought to our attention by James Twyman. James has several websites and an excellent book Emissary of Love in which he describes his journey with these children whom he met in Bulgaria. At this time, my information is limited to having read his book and making a psychic connection with them. I am also aware that I, and many others, have been working with the Children of Oz creating a new consciousness grid.

Who are the Children of the Crystal Vibration?

Steve Rother, who channels the Group and owns this website, first named this group of children in 1998. Steve and the Group have spoken quite extensively about the Crystal Children in the monthly channeled messages called the Beacons of Light. (See http://www.lightworker.com/beacons/021502Children.shtml for the most recent message.) These children are known as the Peacemakers and also are known for their great vulnerability, wherein lies their equally great power. The Crystals are the extremely sensitive children, the ones almost no one has seen, as the few older ones on the planet have lived very quietly. While the Indigos have been labeled with ADD and ADHD, it is my belief that at this time that many young Crystal Children are being labeled autistic.
